I'm 21 years old and have 5 bikes and a closet full of gear. But I worked hard for it, 2 jobs at once and for awhile it was 3 to be able to afford racing full time. I just got a tv for my room, my truck is 20 years old, my phone is 5 years old and barely works, but my bikes are top of the line for there age (2 09s and a '13). It's about how bad you want it and how hard you are willing to work for it, and not ask for hand outs. when I was 13-14 i mowed everyones yards after school everyday, walked dogs, house sat anything to make some money to go racing. And even then I know I won't be able to make a living out of this so I am a full time college student now, for motorcycle mechanics. So, ask yourself this, "am I doing everything I can to do what I want to do?"
myron when I was 14 I had worked and saved the money to buy a Honda CR 80 the first year they came out (1980 - do the math you will see I am old). I begged my parents. I said " I will buy the bike, the gear and pay for the racing. I just need you to sign the permission slip and drive me to the track." My mom said "there is no way you can race. i am not going to push you around in a wheelchair for the next 30 years!" Once I was 18 I did not need their permission and I drove myself having bought a new 1984 CR125. I am still racing in my 50's though I am getting slower every year. I am sure my mom looks down from heaven now and still thinks I am an idiot, though we both loved each other.
I recon this one's the dimond in the pack this year.
OUTSTANDING. congrats Joey. Tell your old man the spittoon is looking for him
