Did you know that "recipe machine" isn't supposed to work correctly irl. The coils is supposed to be submerged in cold water to condense to liquid and the collection pot will be pressurized. It's a explosion waiting to happen. Im here trying to study The Recipe. All I have to go by is that it's basically a lemonade whiskey with orange. In one episode John Boy is unloading what appears to be 2 25ish lbs sack of corn mill and 2 25ish lbs sack of sugar. Most likely the sisters get all their needed supplies at once per run. I assume the orange part is squeezed and cooked whole (with skins) with the sugar and corn. The natural wild yeast is from the oranges. Ferment and I assume they distill once (not too important) and most likely proofed down with lemonade (equal parts will be about 80 to 95 proof)
The one thing I need to figure out is the amount of oranges I need. I assume they have their own tree they get them from. Whatever you get from one or two trees.
I'm watching the Outrage and when they talk to Verdie it sometimes sounds like they are calling her birdie instead of Verdie. Lynn Hamilton I think that's her last name.
This episode always cracks me up. There was the threat of only one thing that could get Zeb Walton out of his "deathbed"
Grandpa's actions speak for us all. 😂 Gotta save that precious machine!
LOL Those old ladies crack me up. They have no idea that they are walking around lit all the time, but everyone else does and loves their hospitality.
What a scene! Will Geer was such a terrific actor. I was 10 years old when this episode aired on TV. I'll never forget it
Great episode! It's up next for our watch along!
I heard that the recipe machine is buried somewhere in Cairo.
😂
Yes I have it the good old recipe machine 😄😄😄😄

I'll have the 1925.
It sounds like they mix the ‘25 and ‘27 together!
@@therecipewaltonspodcast As long as they don't mix it with water. 🙂
@@feliciapillow5860 Actually, the Judge used to take HIS recipe with branch water!
@@retroguy9494 Seems like the judge and I enjoy our recipe served differently. 😊
@@feliciapillow5860 So it would seem! 👍
