I've never noticed how much the fight panel around 1:11:05 looks like the big battle in Endgame.
And the fact that Cap is using Mjolnir might even suggest that Fear Itself was an inspiration for the Russo while making the movie
i love this particular era of Cyclops because it shows just how dark and how far he is willing to go for mutants he is far far from the good soldier boy scout that people often see him as if it wasn't for his respect for Professor X he would likely be a chief member of the brotherhood

I swear I need to stop watching your channel lol. I end up buying wayy too many comics. 50 graphic novels in the last month alone working my way “Avengers Disassembled” to “Annihilation Scourage” covering every major event (you got me obsessed with Sentry so a lot of new avengers, dark avengers and mighty avengers in there plus his own runs). Just got through house of M and new avengers vol III and just about to crack open “iron man extremis” to work my way into Civil war. Absolutely love your channel man there surprisingly isn’t a ton out there to put things in order and go into detail but I’m loving every second working my way through the timeline. HUGE thank you to you and please keep the vids coming they are amazing. It’s like sitting down and talking comics with a friend. If it wasn’t for this channel I doubt I’d actually be sitting down and reading as much as I have. Getting lost in these comics and it reminds me of when I was a kid! I’d love you see you make a video of reading order for major events and even individual collections and orders for specific characters.

Man I really fucking love your channel, I've always wanted to get into the marvel comic universe stuff and always thought it was cool but I never knew how to. With there being so many different stories and characters and plots that may or may not be cannon it honestly scared me away from even trying. But when I watch these videos I really feel like I can understand the story, you explain all these nuances and stuff that I would have no hope of knowing on my own (because I haven't read many comics) and you put them in such a way that makes them easily understandable. Thank you man, your videos are really a blessing.

In the house of x and powers of x storylines, even when Xavier and Magneto team up together and the mutants do fight back, they still lose in the end. I love the X-Men, but they never come out on top.
So so so many mutants never had a supportive and incredibly equipped facility to hone their powers, not to mention Xavier's (and whoever else based on comic tbh) guidance and instruction. It's not like every mutant reaches their potential, or even close to most, honestly.
I mean Joe Average mutant is going to get absolutely destroyed if tossed in the Danger Room sessions the x-men train on regularly. Quickly.
So it'd pmuch be like The Brotherhood and The X-Men against potentially multiple powerful nations...
And you have dicks like Trask just looking for the tiniest reason to MasterMold the world.

The X-men are only OP when they're not fighting other mutants, mutants are either ying or yang.
They op when it comes power level(probably the most powerful when it comes to earth) but teamwork suck a lot of xmen don't like each other or have issues .. but if they didn't the xmen could wipe the floor with the avengers or inhumans

Fear Itself was just a dope storyline all around! All of The Worthy looked epic but I think Juggernaut and The Thing looked the best.

I still wish the death of Captain America storyline had led to Frank Castle with the shield trying to redeem himself.
The reason the X-men aren’t broken are due to the villains they face. Apocalypse is one of the strongest people in the MCU. The Phoenix, onslaught, Shadow King, nimrod, just to name a few. The X-men need to be close to the power of these people so they can defeat them. Not saying that they are used properly but I hope that’s enough to get my a robcore ring lol

I don't think the level of power the mutants have makes them broken but is an integral part of how the world views them. Without the omega level threat mutants pose humanity would have less to fear and would be far more accepting. If mutants were all Ugly Johns or Beaks they might be ostracized and bullied to some degree but there would also a great deal of pity for them. There wouldn't be protesters fearing for their place in the world if the biggest threat a mutant posed was making you feel a bit creeped out. Also one of the struggles many mutants face is how to control their powers so they don't decimate everything around them. They have to walk a fine line of protecting themselves and becoming uncontrollable engines of destruction. It's like when Superman fought Darkseid in Batman Superman Apocalypse. He always has to be careful like he's walking on eggshells knowing if he truly let loose he could accidentally destroy the world but fighting Darkseid he could stop holding back and truly see what he's capable of. Without their power levels they would just be curiosities relegated to sideshows or roller skating disco light shows.

What made the Cap special was his heart. Not just anyone couldn take the SS serum. Coming back to this video after getting some serious nostalgia for Marvel Avengers Alliance, the game that adopted this story as the main plotline of its second half of the game. That one featured new versions of the Worthy as unlockable alternate costumes with:

Mockingbird as Nerkkod
Daimon Hellstrom as Angrir
Black Knight as Mokk
Ghost Rider as Greithoth (was supposed to be Thundra but because Marvel & Fox were beefing at the time they changed it to Ghost Rider)
I always found this to be an interesting story. It gives me similar vibes to the Apocalypse stories with the Horseman and while it is heroes being turned to evil, they become all new characters at the same time.
Hey “sexy voice guy 🤣😂” the issue you’re looking for when Captain America FIRST lifts Thor’s hammer is Thor #390 during the mid ‘80’s. Captain America was sporting the black costume as the Captain back then. It was also when the Avengers just took over Hydrobase as one of their bases of operations. Grogg from the army of Seth, the Serpent King, came calling. There’s a splash page of Thor and the Captain back-to-back (truly epic 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾), taking on his forces. At one moment during the battle Thor is separated from his hammer and is in trouble. The Captain lifts the hammer and quickly throws it his way. Thor catches and takes care of the rest. Epic issue in that Captain America (in his guise as the Captain) lifts the hammer for the first time and both Cap and Thor become closer friends as a result of it. Thor stating that there’s a sacred bond between those that have lifted the hammer. When people reference Cap lifting Thor’s hammer I’ve always thought they had this issue in mind 🤷🏽♂️, but now I know it’s the Fear Itself issue that the reference comes from.
X-men aren’t OP because they are afraid of humans. Yes they have the most powerful hero’s but they can’t even fight of the USA army

Their afraid of humans stupidity(nukes that would kill mutants and humans), mutants are just evolved humans. Without Xavier the X-men could turn evil and destroy all humans easily. They're X-men because they respect what's left of humanity in them.
