Love having opportunity to revisit this game. Favorite part is hearing the Michigan fans continually booing their team. Doesn't get much better than that. . . .
I thought fans are there to support their team, not boo them. Fair- weather fans -- who needs them?? Every team has problems sooner or later. Yes, I'm glad we beat them, and their fans should be ashamed of themselves.
I remember seeing this game on the schedule a couple of years before it was played and thinking, "Oh, shit! The Big House. That's gonna be a big problem." There are few Duck games I've enjoyed watching more than this one. What a freaking beat down. And one that heralded the arrival of one Mr. Chip Kelly. Oh ... that fake statue of Liberty!!
I always hate when they say they shouldn’t have lost, because Appalachian State always fields a good team, and has good coaching. First year in the Fbs they win 10 games and their bowl game.
They would have won the NC. Nobody was running that spread like us back in 2007. When Dixon went down against Arizona it felt like someone kicked me in the nuts.
So awesome to see alot of 'before the NFL' names and some college greats...Chip Kelly's debut season as OC...and of course the ASS whoopin at the 'big' house..
Is there a juncture where Chad Henne is lying on the ground face down in pain? I remember hearing on the radio that Chad Henne got knocked out of this game. As a die-hard Ducks and Beavers and Blazers fan, ANY win over Michigan or Notre Dame is a big deal.
I'm a Michigan fan and that was an ass kicking to say the least. However, if it were not for this beating Oregon gave us we wouldn't have won 8 straight games and damn near won the B1G title if we didn't have so many injuries plus 2 losses at Wisconsin & vs. Ohio St.
Michigan was a decent team in 2007. They got caught thinking they were a great team by App St. and if you don't recall, Oregon was the best team in the country until a ridiculous amount of injuries derailed their season. As a Duck fan, I've always had the utmost respect of UM for scheduling that home-home and not backing out. It was tough to get big-name teams to come to Autzen, and the Big 10 has never backed down. That's more than can be said for the SEC and Big 12. Wisconsin, Michigan, and Purdue held up their end of the bargain....Texas A&M and Kansas State ran for the hills.
Oregon and Dennis Dixon were playing damn good that year until he got hurt. Still we had no business losing this game 39-7 at home. Decent teams don't lose like that at home.
Decent teams thinking they're great teams lose like that at home. Losing to the best I-AA team is a shock, but can be attributed to first-game jitters and whatever else. A bushwhacking at home to a team from a rival conference like that is the real wake-up call. UM went on to have a pretty damn good season after that, considering the first two games. At the very least, the 2007 Michigan Wolverines were a decent team. It's a shame Carr was shown the door.
eKriZZLe Carr wanted to retire the year before but our AD had no plan for a replacement and asked him to come back. It was his time to go after not having the team prepared for the first two games and losing to Ohio State for the 5th time in 6 years.
This never gets old.
Never!!! Go ducks!!!

Back in 2007 the poor Michigan fans didn't even have smart phones to distract themselves. They actually had to watch the game.
Lmao
Just the iPods and Nokias man
They actually wound up doing alright in 2007 after these two games

Which are the best Oregon beat downs of Washington?
@@immittator there is a bunch of them and i love them all!!!!
@@immittator2013, Mariota was insane that game.
Honestly believe this is the best Oregon team ever. If Dennis doesn't get hurt, that's a natty
Close with the team with le Michael James when they played auburn in the national and lost because of one play. #goducks
@@rjdatdude23facts and til this day that play is and will always be bullshit!
2012 was special as well. Had they beaten Stanford they would've wrecked Notre Dame in the championship game.
But man '07 was so special
Yeah and if our whole receiving core wasn’t decimated for tOSU in 2015 we could’ve won that, just always bad luck
3 out of 4 of Oregon's Secondary are still playing in the NFL..
4 out of 4;)
+Dexter Wang don't think Harper is playing in the NFL
+cstam105 no he's not, but TJ ward was still on the roster this year. He just wasn't starting
+Dexter Wang I'm sure Edwin was referring to the starters
remember this game like it was yesterday what a game. thanks for the upload. love watching the old game. 2003 vs michigan was a great game too.
God bless you for uploading this.
Amen brother
Fffcccc

They were choking on Michigan so hard. It’s like I’m rewatching the Oregon Vs Washington State game in 2022
Oregon was loaded in 2007. Interesting would could have been for them with a healthy Dennis Dixon that entire season.
one of the biggest "what if" in Oregon football history
They would have won the NC. Nobody was running that spread like us back in 2007.
When Dixon went down against Arizona it felt like someone kicked me in the nuts.
We would of won that Championship, seeing him go down was devastating
Old game, but these r my 2 favorite teams. But michigan always will be favorite out of both of them

Such a great call.
This Michigan team beat Tim Tebow's Gators in a bowl game at the end of the year. Right between both of their national championship titles. Go Blue!
They also lost to app state and never beat ohio state.
Congrats. So did Auburn, LSU, and UGA lol.
Not before both of national championships! In between their national championships! (2006, 2008)
The best fan reactions are @ the 1:25:25, 1:30:42, 1:41:13 and the 2:35:28 mark
Mike Hart is a fucking G. J Stew is the better back but god damn. Hart gave his soul to Michigan
So heart breaking that injury to Dixon at the California game.
So awesome to see alot of 'before the NFL' names and some college greats...Chip Kelly's debut season as OC...and of course the ASS whoopin at the 'big' house..
Lloyd should have been ashamed of himself for the way he prepared his team for the first two games that year.
This was such a great game. I love it when the Smurfs get their asses handed to them.
love that Michigan mean that much to you
So funny. At half time Carr says they only gave up 2 plays. Typical Michigan talk
Trudging along
These commercials are awesome
Man….Michigan got out coached. A New Era of football was in full effect.
Watched this in Eugene with a bunch of buddies, and one guy that moved from Michigan. XD

Oregon ducks vs Michigan WOLVERINES 2007 Brad nessler bob griese paul Maguire bonnie Bernstein
So Oregon started the Statue Of Liberty play before Boise St did it?
Is there a time in this game, where Chad Henne is facedown and in pain?
Where does Chad Henne get knocked face down on the ground, and knocked out of the game?
This was the beginning of the end for Lloyd Carr
Poor Michigan, Appalachian St but bugger and faster as a team with a power back and a D1 defense...
How did Oregon not win it all that year….
@@saugasauce Dennis Dixon tore his ACL
Michigan State has always beaten Oregon at Spartan Stadium. Just an FYI.
still beat nd and msu that season. so won 2 out of the 3 rival games in 2007
This season set the program back 20 years....it still hasn’t recovered.
First time seeing this
LOL Michigan got clowned
The 2003 game was just a warning for this butt kicking
Lmao @ 1:36:08 😂🤙🏼🤙🏼🦆
Always nice to see Michigan lose. Go bucks!!
*LLOYD CARR ALWAYS WAS A OVERRATED COACH.*
The fan at 2:11:30 seriously needs to get laid lol. Dude needs serious help
