Well done Tom.i had a heart attack and cardiac arrest 2yrs ago while driving, i became unwell and pulled over and called 999, i'm only here because i'd stopped in a bus stop 500yds from the first responders house who was to be sent out to me, i had 20mins CPR resulting in 6 cracked ribs and 3 shocks with a defib before i came back to life.
Gonna sound cringe but Wrighty is everything I'd want my mates to see me as. Builds people up, cares about them, laughs and jokes around and genuinely shows interest in other people.
My brother had a heart attack a few years ago and was lucky to have people trained in cpr nearby, they saved his life. Everyone needs to learn this, it is literally the difference between a full recovery or permanent damage to the heart and brain, even if the stricken is lucky enough to survive
I had to give an old fella in the shop downstairs from my work CPR one day, walked in for a drink to find the guy collapsed and the shop owner asking me to take over the chest compressions. After about 3mins maybe he took a massive breath in and turned onto his side as the paramedics turned up. Was such a strange experience, I’ve no idea if he pulled through but I hope so. Only reason I knew what to do was a friend of mine was in training to be a paramedic and taught home a few months previously. Great section to show people what to do to help .
Genuinely appreciate the reminder to stay informed regarding CPR. I have a basic first aid certificate from the Prince's Trust but it's been 10 years since then. Absolutely essential to have that knowledge remain fresh in the mind
As a Cardiac survivor and someone fitted with an ICD... videos like this are so important... I had a sudden cardiac arrest in February 24, 2012 over at Camp Pendleton and was dead for around 2 minutes. I was put a defibrillator and pacemaker and after i couldnt do any physical work without my chest hurting. Cant run cant lift weights and definitely cant play football soccer anymore. Its damn amazing how they keep on playing
Great show. I’ve just done my first aid course and I never realised just how important knowing first aid was. In my opinion it should be taught in all schools from a young age. Glad I did it.
fair play tom, Last year aged 28 I took unwell and was diagnosed with complete heart block and fitted with a pacemaker. within the year I was fitted with an ICD. My girlfriend saved my life by getting me to the doctor as I thought I had a chest infection. it's a scary thought to what could've happened and has changed my life forever but it's great to be alive.
Myself and my partner have both had to do CPR. Luckily hers came round. Mine didn’t. It’s so important for everyone to know what to do. You never know when you might need to do it. As soon as my son is old enough I’ll be teaching him.
Idea for a TV show: Roy and Wrighty in... Roy Keane and Ian Wright travel the world watching different Derby games. While in the city, they sample some of the traditional parts of the culture I.e, they go to watch the Milan Derby, in the day they try pizza making. The rights belong to me, Shaun Buxton 😊
Getting a bit old that whenever there's a conversation, Gary has to bring it back to Manchester United and we're hearing about it every week - mid conversation about some cracking champions league semi finals and it's derailed back to Manchester United via Sancho - there's more clubs.
Casemiro lack of pace should be protected he needs two centre midfielders next to him. When Keane legs started to go Ferguson put Fletcher next to him to be his legs.
21:04 also 999 give you step by step instructions . Sadly, I had to do this on my baby son, it's different for babies and young kids. Oh, and he was fine eventually. He had hooping cough and spent 2 months in hospital
their suggestion was to have Aaron Wan-Bissaka at CB over casemiro..... who's playing left back then? AWB is a backup right back playing left back because the ones we have have been injured all season, even the loan 3rd choice left back was recalled in January and not replaced
Not sure whether you read the comments Wrighty, but if you’re worried about where the cats are going when outside, get them a collar where you can put apple tags on them, you’ll be able to find them through your phone then. We’ve got 4 and it’s a life saver 😭👍🏻

Roy Keane such a baby. Wright right Palace have changed and got a structure now and will improve which is what a manager should do and improve the team and take them to a higher level. Such good games recently, coming from a hammer wish we did that with our team and after moyes hope we can improve and play attacking football
“Play Wanbisaka at CB” mans can barely control the ball and has the positional awareness of a 6 month old, and that’s the guy Ian Wright would rather see at CB 😂🤣. I see why coaches don’t take you guys serious🤣🤣.
Re: Casemiro - The guy is 32 and was one of our best players last season. You don't become a bad player overnight. I genuinely think he and a couple players are dragging their feet as they've had enough of the manager and want him out. The casual way he skied his penalty spoke volumes about his current state of mind. Unprofessional though it may be, I think he's not the only one any more. The Sancho thing is the latest in a long line of players like Gary said. Only Zlatan and Bruno have really shone at United in the last decade to match their fees and reputation. It's been said time and time again we have the worst facilities of any of the top clubs in Europe as a start... Sure it runs through the club into all areas as well.
That bit about the British heart foundation was brilliant. In January I collapsed playing football locally in Urmston, Manchester and without the help of others I wouldn’t be here today. I’m now making a full recovery with an ICD and it’s great to see things like this being pushed on such a huge platform 👏

To Gary's point about no signings doing well at United except Bruno Fernandez. I'd say Zlatan exceeded expectations at United. He was 35, signed on a free. Could he still do it after winding down in the french league? That was the talking point 28 goals, two cups and a charity shield.
Maguire has been good too as have a few others. Football media is so forgetful and only cares about what’s happening now. Palace were shocking but now they have had a run of 6 decent results they are world class. Spurs at the start of the season vs now. No one goes in on them like they do United tho because United gets the clicks and the viewers.
