Crazy that this is my first Phaseslam Amara build hahah. Hope you guys enjoy the build. This one is a lot of fun
This build was awesome, and I'm glad to see someone else use Body and Mind, because it's such a good skill. I'd love to see you do a second Phaseslam melee build that relied on Combo Breaker to reset the cooldown, and go traditional Face-Puncher, Brawler's Ward, etc. I could also see you doing that with a Psycho Stabber + Blitz build, but like no pressure. Melee Amara is one of my favorite playstyles right now

Update: Slam damage 300 increase does not work with Fracture which is pretty lame.

I appreciate that Moxsy listens to his viewers and unselfishly accommodate requests like showing the cosmetics. In no way does it detract from the content of the video. Just one more way Moxsy goes above and beyond as a content creator.

I wish she had a tree where she uses her siren fists to fight like brick or conjures up a sword of elements so she would have a real melee action skill
Well she's got Blitz which can be pretty fun for that kind of thing but since melee locks you in for the animation time it can feel clunky. It's nice to pair up with Phaseslam though even with that lag time, especially Unleash the Dragon + Downfall pretty fun

She's got a massively powerful melee attack. If you have a psychostabber with the 150/90 anoint, muse com with the extra point in illuminated fist, and an unleash the dragon artifact with the extra melee and fire damage bonuses, you pretty much one hit everything. Badasses that don't die right away will eventually die by the fire status effect regardless of shields or armor. And if you've got a fish slap, it will one shot most bosses.

They’re incorporating legit melee weapons into the game, crossbows(not sure on that one just I remember them posting a tweet asking what kind of weapons people would like to see in wonderlands and someone posted crossbows with their response being ok) all in all it looks like it’s gonna be a hell of a game considering it’s been in development since 2 released
Ight dude, I don't usually grab your save files because I like to gear up on my own, but this one looked like too much fun to pass and I didn't have any of the required gear. This build completely trivializes content, it's freakin' hilarious. I've wanted to build for Phaseslam since the game released and never really found a build that had exactly what I was looking for, until now. Thank you, as always, for your effort in supporting this game/community!
Brother I play borderlands since it first came out and still when I look your videos they feel like some college lectures that are highly complex and you explain everything really really well. Respect!
Just farmed for the gear and started using the build. The most fun I’ve had in bl3 for a while with a completely non template build. Definitely worth it. Gear was really easy to get and just completely cleared the maliwan takedown. Although not the best survivability can be made much easier with the Mesmer. Keep up the good content Moxsy!!
I'm having a hell of a time farming artifact and class mod. Build feels pretty lackluster without those passives. Especially if you go down but don't have your kill skills up. Hit like a feather trying to get that second wind. Super sad. But still probably most fun I've had with Amara in ages.
Do know how to get the stone static charge cause that’s the only thing I need to finish the build
@@blackgragon7464 dedicated drop is from Artemis in eden 6. But it's cancer to farm. Recommend that one trial in hall of obsidian. If you finish all optional objective, you get a bunch of legendaries. Usually artifacts.
I have a knife drain commander planetoid which heals me on every shot and applies a random status. I think comander plametoid also affects body and mind bc whenever i use it, the explosions last a bit longer

This build adds some much needed variety to my vault hunters.
I don’t even have great gear and this build is so fun.
My facepuncher is a x7 with an ASE anoint (for now) and I have no extra splash damage from the class mod.
I think my slam is a bit weak right now but the facepuncher with the kill skills up is hilariously strong.
Cosmetic thing at the end is totally fine! Great build!
I've been wanting to do a melee amara for a long time now but I never would've thought to do it like this. I know what my next playthrough will be. I just hope my tiny babby brain can handle all the little details.

Zane is my favorite, with Amara close behind ... but this is the most fun build I've played. It's especially fun for mobbing ... but don't K6 yourself, watch out for the barrels! This splash has a range! I've just recently discovered your channel and really enjoy all the content! I first found you because of the lack of content there is for Wonderlands and have since followed you and checked your other borderlands content. I really like the facepuncher for mobbing from this. I adapted the build to mix with my phase flare build. it works wonders on mobs but I feel like the damage for bossing isn't as great. it is still really good but I find my orb build wrecks bosses faster than anything else for amara consistently. Anyways just wanted to let you know peeps are still enjoying your content and shlooting the borderlands! happy hunting vault hunters!

Hello Moxsy, this is, in the last month, my build-to-go for Amara and I must say it really kicks ass.
Just wanted to add an input to the bossing capability, that is IMHO a little underrated. I dunno if you've managed to check it out (for me it was easier since I didn't have the guardian angel, so I sticked to the FP even in bossing) but actually amara can, with the right attention, nearly one-shot bossess in general thank to Remnant: if you kill a mob WITH PHASESLAM near the boss and manage to make so the remnat hit the boss, the damage output is out of scale (litteraly, it doesn't even show, always surpassess 999Million). Of course u can't fully one-shot bosses that have phases (such as Aurelia) because the phases are scripted so that, when you reach the right damage, it goes to the phase after, but u can really sweep bosses out if u master the remnant use.
(just for example, my first run with The Seer lasted litterally two second, killed the mob with phaseslam, remnant to the seer -> no more seer seen lol).
Wanted to say so just because I love your builds and it was a pity this aspect was not illustrated. Thanks buddy!

@@EpicBongZilla Not a Zane fan either... I love cryo phasecast which is why I like Shatter Siren.. I don't use purple tree that much... Urad purple tree in good. Like Underworld Amara and I use light fantastic with the reflux... that's fun.. Moxsy shows and talks about that build in his Underworld build.. my favorite is a build called hidden tiger by stone swan. It's a sniper urad build that never takes damage since you use Glamour and ties with a Lil Recursion thrown in.Ill link it to you. He. Makes amazing slam builds too.Go to 3:33 on this link

Damn alot of peeps sleep on Zane so much. I got friend's who where nvr fan's of zane, they made there own. Now they can't stop playing him and I dont even use or have a Seein Dead in my backpack or bank.. Plus Cryo on Zane is way stronger. just saying... but have a good one VH'S and have fun killing some Badassasses.. Also this is m11 it's way more easier. He gots to do 1 on M10, I got a amara build for Phase-slam/Cast/beam also I use a different class mod nobody really uses for Zane and Amara. But everyone have fun and have a blessed day...

I was actually using a build just like this! It's crazy how much damage you can dish out while being able to spam the action skill.
This seems like fun because it utilizes the recent character specific anointed buffs which is something I want to see more focused on a build.

Something I love about this as well. So I’m using a 150/90 anointment and with that I can freely switch between phase slam and phase cast depending on the situation

Idk if anyone else tried it, but a Muse com with +3 into illuminated fist did wonders for me on this build. I know it doesn't drop anymore but if you can get your hands on one, it's well worth it.

Love this build! I like the cometics show. I like to change the colors so that the skin is unrecognizable. For example, I have a silver Amara, she shine all like silver metal. Keep up with the great videos!

Why no Illuminated Fist? Is it a waste in? I'm thinking as this build based on ASD - why not boost melee and convert it into ASD? Or am I thinking wrong here?
Unlike Infusion which only converts a portion 8% in this case, Illuminated fist converts 100% of damage to action skill element. Thus not generating any extra pellets and causing no extra novas with body and mind.

A Phaseslam build? Yes, please! Just gotta swap to Ball for Hemovorous, I guess. It doesn't always connect, but you can pull it to you if you are standing next to him.
For bosses you can't hit with slam he swapped to phasecast

Is there other weapons that you can use outside of the face puncher
no...........however if you like phasegrasp, it will do just fine with that too. Checkout the face puncher phasegrasp amara build by RestAssured.
You could use a psycho stabber. It has two melee attachments so you get x2 and would be able to get around 4 novas, but it wouldn't be a great option compared to the face puncher.

Her redtree capstone could allow this right if shes holding facepuncher? Also yeah 1 point infusion... but what about indiscriminate 1 point or 1 point into spreading dots too all with body and mind...
How would you make her action skill deal melee damage?
10:20 Do Harm gives you 147.5% action skill damage with 25 stacks, not 500%. But you can go above 25 stacks with enough cooldown or Avatar. You would need 85 stacks of Do Harm to get 500% action skill damage.

What would be fastest way to farm static charge? Artemis drop is terrible. Also should I be farming her on mayhem 10, or 1, or somewhere in between? Or would it be better to do like lootsplosion with a shlooter and farm claptrap nest?

I know this vid is 2 years old but for console players, be careful about the static charge with the Face Punched. For some reason it just kills your frame and can even make the game crash. For that reason, I personally use a Commander Planetoid as a replacement.
And this is what brought me back to the game. Chose amara for phase slam to only use her grasp.
what element annointment should the grenade have on this build? Would it make sense to go for cryo since that is where most of the damage is coming from or rather a other element like radation?
Song choices during intro game play is always top notch....
How do you know stuff like this? Is there somewhere you can read things like "body and mind does action skill dmg" even when it is not listed?
Do you think an Action Skill start Frozen heart would work? Freeze just before slamming every time
Hey Moxsy! I haven't played the game since basically launch, but I got the urge to pick it back up again and I knew this was the place to come to see what the current meta was like for Amara. I'm probably gonna start a whole new save to ease myself back into it, so what would you say is the best path to take when starting the build from scratch?
If I wanted to try using Phaseflare for bossing with this build, which version is better? Regular melee, Shooting Star or Light Fantastic?

Hello. I have a question, how would this build work for someone who´s leveling? I already have a face puncher (times 7 because of low level) and doing allright. but does it work well in later levels?

I’m having the same problem. Maybe taking off burn both ends since it draws more agro?
You could always slot on a knife drain artifact. Even if we don't spec much meele, the dmg we do should easily heal you to full everytime.
@@daniel6009 yeah I keep one in my inv just in case but I fixed the issue with high cap shield. Mine wasn’t as good as it could’ve been.
Same here too. I've been using this build in Mayhem 10 to farm a better Phasezerker on Eden-6 this week and all the anointed are absolutely wrecking me.

Why does nobody use a commander planetoid for melee builds? Static charge does 50% bonus shock damage on a melee attack after you slide. Planetoid does 87% bonus elemental damage (random) on any melee attack. Am I missing something?
50% for the chain, for better mobbing, but then the stone adds 80% rad. Not sure if commander can get stone prefix. If so might result in higher single target.

That shield looks pretty good. Can someone explain why it’s not doing very much as he said in the video. I’m referring to the triple roll of damage reduction. Why wouldn’t it be? Especially on a build with no leech. That seems good?
You just take so much damage at m10 that it's a negligible effect.

I have been using a hellwalker with the x300 after slam with a pearl and a action skill shock shield.
what action skills are you using? based off of the video at the end you don't even have phaseslam equipped

Melee amara is pretty op. You don't even need the 4th skill tree or and season pass 2 content to wreck with it. I was looking for a new amara build after they nerfed driver by getting rid of fakegrasping.
Amara is the worst char atm. Only face puncher is useful and her ttks at raid is crap. Haven't test this build yet
Great stuff man...how do you feel about a Stone Commander Planetoid Artifact instead of the Static Charge? Keep up the good work!
I think it could work. Main benefits is the aoe chaining, to the static charge but if you have a good stone, probably rad best, commander with awesome passive then that'd probably out preform a stone static with meh passives. They make a huge difference in damage capacity I noticed, particularly for this build.

Fish slap isn't doing anything for me on this build, but I don't get why? The grenade overall seems pretty weak to me, it's base dmg is even lower than mesmer's.

That's awesome. Whatever team they had for writing out all the subtitles and item cards definitely had a metal head or two in it. Me and one of my friend have found like 3 Between the Buried and Me references, plus a few more for other bands.
