Misconception about the spider-sense. It doesn't necessarily warn him of danger, it actually gives him omnipresent awareness of his surroundings, so that he can SEE the danger coming. It's why he can swing through the city without having to look where he shoots his webs. It's kind of like having another set of super-eyes, so long as he's focusing on using them. Imagine having a ball thrown at your head because you didn't catch it coming towards you out of the corner of your eye. Same thing happened here. In this case, Peter wasn't paying attention to his spider-sense when hulk walked up, because he was too distracted by the allure of the gem in his hand.
Even though it was under the Symbiote's influence, Spider-Man finally stopped holding back. 🎉
Spiderman going all out doesn't match up to the hulk in anyway i love spidey but hes not physically capable of taking the hulk down without of course amps in this video being the symbiote and the celestial norn stone.

This wasnt spiderman NOT holding back. This wasn't "venom spiderman"
This was all the work of the NORN STONE. Without that stone, the hulk wouldn't have even noticed Spiderman's punches....as demonstrated when venom himself tried taking on the hulk.. venom was nothing more than a nuisance. Enough with the misinfo and wank.
As much as I am a fan of Spider-Man, I simply cannot stand how Marvel writers continue to use the Hulk as a measuring stick whenever they need to show "just how strong" X character is.
I agree. This seems to be the case with every favorite character I have. In DC it's Darkseid, in marvel it's Hulk, in DB it's Vegeta. All those characters consistently get shit on just to show how strong another character is when in reality they are some of the strongest in their respective universes.
The reality is that it's one of the duties of the strongest to help gauge the strength of others. It's simply the most effective way to show a power spike to a reader. The alternatives are either purely abstract strength in a vacuum with characters just steamrolling even weaker characters until they're somehow beaten or some kind of power level scanner like Dragonball which is almost always extremely arbitrary and contrived.

Seeing the effects of a norn stone on a symbiote and host, I’d love to see venom get the crimson gem of Cyttorak. A symbiote being completely unstoppable is way more OP than most people would think. All the shapes it takes are unbreakable and their movements can’t be stopped. He turns into a fluid with that gem as a core, he’s ripping through anything air tight with ease, not that juggernaut can’t bust through almost anything, but he never had shapeshifting of Venom’s caliber. A host would be redundant most of the time unless their power was worth mingling with.
if thanos was able to overpower hulk and defeat him with a couple of hits... imagine what THIS spiderman could do to thanos when he defeated THE hulk *WITH A SINGLE PUNCH*
So, is this another retcon as to why the symbiote turned murder happy? The first one was that Deadpool gets the symbiote first in Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars, and now the second one seems to be because of the Norn Stone.
This is why Hulk has a hard time being mentioned in the same sentence with Superman, Goku, Doomsday, Brodly, Saimata, and etc.

you know what would make a good "horror marvel" game ? when you must survive, not has a super heroes (or, at least, not a multivers destructor) againt's a silent, hatefull, spiderman. like a monster from any horror video game, but with his ability to stick to any surface, to get fast to one point to another, and with his special sense when you try to attack him (for exemple, to gain time or to stop him for a moment) making it hard to stop him.
But the silent part must be here, i could not take spidey seriously if he was twirling his non visible mustache behind his mask when talking to us.

This was all written to make Spider Man more than he is. Even with the Norn Stone, which is awesome, should never be used to socall make the Hulk afraid as the writer says.
I believe far too many writers have sinned doing this with characters.
