Looks like they held up pretty dang good. Wished the soles were a tad bit more aggressive and durable. I just picked up a set of Keens that so far I'm pretty happy with. Good stuff!
Yea the only downfall are the soles , soon they will be smooth on the bottom 🤣 if they would make the same boot/shoe with a mud terrain grip I would be all about it!
How much are they and where can you get them I’m having trouble finding them I don’t know what I’m doing wrongCan’t seem to find the site any help would be most appreciated thank you have a blessed day
I got the black multicam ones after I watched this video. Still wear them quite a bit. There great. I diffently changed the insoles and then switched them back. Used a hole punch about 6 holes per insert( helps them breathe better)
Just got these in multi cam. They feel and wear like nothing. Very comfortable! It’s like buy a 250$ Nike or adidas running shoe but for 75$! Hope they make a waterproof version!
I got the hi-top coyote tan and my dog used it as a chew toy. Haha the shoes still work it’s just the lip is chewed up. So I ordered these exact same shoes the multi cam black look sweet! I went with the 12Wide. They fit perfect!
I recommend MACV1s over these. The durability is vastly superior to what you have shown for these shoes. Not dogging these or your choice in buying them. Just saying for hard core use the MACV1s are a better boot imo.
Probably because they were designed as a water shoe, not a walking shoe. That sole is a special rubber that is used in free climbing. It's supposed to be "sticky" for grip. What you want if you're using them as normal shoes is their newer urban assault which isn't a water shoe like the maritime assault. They released the urban assault because ppl were buying the maritime ones for every day use and that's not the purpose of them. So they came out with an urban assault. These maritime shoes were designed for navy seals(to put flippers over) and they use closed cell foam and the like so nothing but the cordora absorb water. This way when they hit the beach they don't have waterlogged shoes. They have a high performance water shoe They are literally a real water shoe. they are popular however civilians use them as a standard tennis shoe. Anyways the sole wearing isn't a knock because it isn't the use case for the shoe.
@@AuditROBLOX I'm not an expert I happen to know about that one specific shoe is all. It would seem tho that the Urbans are what they claim fit your need, but I never owned the Urbans personally. I'd give em a go tho
@@Thee-_-Outlier well do you think i can use them outside for walking and regular tennis shoe use? im kinda divided because this looks absolutely epic and i really want to get it but im not sure if it will last me
I like these boots, but the soles wear out too fast for me. I'm really hard on my shoes and boots because I'm outdoors darn near every day. These boots are bulletproof except for the soles. I'd like to figure out how to resole these.
I like my altama's, i was wearing xtratuffs for years, but the quality went down, inbeat my atlama boots pretty darn hard and they have held up great and still look good for going to town, i believe any other shoe for the price would have fell aparts months ago
Do they make these boots in size 14? It’s hard finding shoes in that size, whenever I go to Academy I have to search around just to find something that fits
Are these actually good for maritime work? I work on tugs and have water on deck a lot, which we do have non skid but some areas are a little lacking, didn’t know if they were good on wet surfaces.
I work on commercial fishing boats in oregon and California, even when wet they seem warm, amd there great on the boat, but when im on deck working i use tried and true Xtratuffs
I’ve read these have very little arch support...my feet have a bit of an arch (not flat footed)...would you say these would be a good fit for me for regular every day walking/working?
I have a very small arch and these feel good, Iv been wearing them all day today at the range and have been on my feet without any problems, if you have a very high arch, I would think about a possible insole replacement
That's entirely an insole thing, not something related to the construction of the actual shoe itself. If you need any real degree of arch support, I recommend getting a decent pair of insoles, like Powersteps or Superfeet.
Has anyone ran in these? I usually run like 2-3 miles a day on a mix of pavement, gravel, dirt paths, and I love running in the rain. These look like they could be good but I don't wanna dump $90 without knowing.
I don’t know, I don’t think I would recommend them for running but only because the impact isn’t very well absorbed and would transfer to your shin/knees in my opinion
Hello. I do run using these shoe. I have the black mid cut. I am on my 3rd month running at least 3 times a week for 5km (3mi). The only issue i have is that I find the insole a little bit too thin. I used a spare insole almost same thickness with the standard one and added them. Am planning to buy an athletic insole once the quarantine is over. But other than that, this shoe is built like a tank! I can run in all terrain. Also i wear them almost everyday and ignore my other shoes. XD ahahaha
I don't see why not. People run in minimalist shoes and barefoot all the time. The shock absorption of the shoe doesn't matter as long as you have good running mechanics.
If Converse All-Stars are suitable running shoes for you, then these will do fine. Otherwise, I wouldn't use these for running, particularly on paved surfaces (if you're running on dirt/grass, the terrain will provide enough shock absorption). If you run on road or sidewalk then stick to shoes that are dedicated for actual running from a company that specializes in such (like Asics/Brooks/Saucony/New Balance)
The boots are for work/operations on MARINE VESSELS. That's why the soles are concave with a lozenge tread, just like yachting deck shoes. They're not made for running/training.
I always feel weird when i hear people call them boots. Highly upgraded Tactical Chuck Taylors is what they are and I love them for it but a BOOT they are not
They stick too ice it's kinda freaky to be honest. Snow too not too bad. Cold floors and super cold temperatures are not cool in the shoes. When it gets to gets to 20 out your feet can tell. I'm wearing two pairs of socks one being wool. Your feet will sweat and kinda freeze in them once you stop moving around. So in short don't stop moving. Your feet do squeeze out any water in three steps I like that in wet weather
considering these shoes are intended for anphibious SOF and Navy SEALs and all the kind of oprationd they have to do, they're supposed to withstand a helluva beating.
