Me either. I know people like Xenoblade, but it's not a particularly large franchise. Its latest entry didn't reach 2/3rds the sales of the latest Metroid. Which, while one of my favorite game series Nintendo produces, always struggles to sell.
Don’t see anyone talking about this. But we assume “switch 2” would be on able to play ps4 and Xbox one gen games natively. Those games were anywhere from 10gb to 100+ gb with certain games. @JC-cb8oi the data packs was not a patch. It's literally just installing parts of the game data that was already on the disc to the internal storage for faster loading
@@Some_Random_Guy thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I remember downloading those to make the game run better. Was wondering how that would be handled on the Switch.
Yesterday Nintendo and Sony were on two different sides of the spectrum
Nintendo: "Here's another game."
Sony: "We fucked up and now you are all out of a job."
I wonder how many Sony fans will bring up xbox trying to defend Sony, because the only way to defend Sony is to compare them to Microsoft.
Waiting on Streets of Rage 5
Streets of Rage 4 is all we need and I’m not hopeful of SOR 5 and see another Final Fight Streetwise with the new Streets of Rage coz nobody asked for it to go 3D.
Nintendo is still carrying the video game industry forward. They give us exactly what we want, games.
This is what drives the techies batty.
And alarm clocks too!
Facts and the tech nerds can’t handle it 🤣🤣🤣
Nintendo has a few duds here and there. Mario strikers was a dissapointment and my kids LOVE kirby games and return to dream land deluxe was a stinker.
No they aren't. They hold the game industry back with their shovelware lowing the standards of quality with it and they're hostile to the gaming community using their legal team to destroy culture. You people are such waste incarnate.
VERY HYPED For the *new Power Rangers game!* And yes Jon, there was a similar game on the SNES called *"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie (SNES)"* and it was among my FAVORITE SNES games growing-up! I can't wait to relive that time again through this new Power Rangers game! :)
I'm HYPED TOO
Geoff Keighley wasn’t able to “Keep that same energy” and didn’t mention Sony PlayStation in his tweet.
Neon Koi was rebranded from Savage Game Studios founded in 2020 and acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2022 as the founding member of PlayStation Studios Mobile Division.
Who is at fault here and should maybe also loose their job? Hermen Hulst. 🤷♀️
Imo, Geoff Keighley epitomizes the opportunistic, myopic investors and execs that currently plague the industry. It’s the most sanitized, corporate strategem that utterly annihilates the soul and art of the medium.
Monolithsoft give us a XENOSAGA trilogy remaster or remake!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tell that to Bamco.
I had to buy a ps2 and the whole trilogy just to play them; they really need a remake/remaster 3 is to rare and expensive.
@ I have XS 1 and 3 and loved playing them on my PS2 back in the aughts, these have never been ported nor a remaster or remake, they are now just on that bygone era
MonolithSoft doesn’t own Xenosaga and has no control over what happens to it. You’ll gotta hope Bandai Namco gets off their butt and does something.
I'd like to see Bioware look back to Jade Empire. Even an upscaled port with updated control options would be cool
lol these guys still think BioWare will be in business to release another Mass Effect 🤣
But the access media are rallying!
The reason why the PS5 pro is 700 dollars
They should have invest the money in a true next gen game like uncharted 5 to release it at the PS5 Pro launch day. Who wants to buy a 800$ system (with disc drive) to play old games with slighty better graphics.
@alexh7513 I would want to use that money to bring back there older games . Come on who wouldn't want to buy . Gravy rush 4k collection. Bring back PS1,PS2 era games like PaRappa the Rapper collection, Ape escape, Syphon Filter , Siren . Come on where are heading back to the 2000 era . And these games would work to bring back nostalgic . For whatever reason they don't want to bring back there older games for whatever reason. At least invest in smaller first party budget games . At least something to bring me back to PlayStation. Since I have disliked the company . Due to every game they making is copying last of us . Or they are trying to be like cinematic movies . But most of my dislike for the company. Is when they move their main HQ from Japan to America.

I'd prefer a new Killzone, Resistance or Infamous.
Hell even a MAG would work really well these days.
Dude that Nintendo reveal was HUGE! And it literally dropped…….out of nowhere. The Nintendo situation just got weird
Can't help but think about how successful the Wii U would have been if everyone that's begging for it's games to come to Switch.....HAD ACTUALLY BOUGHT A WII U
Bioware is gonna become an FC support studio.
I am surprised that Nintendo never used Nintendo switch lite as a Wii U gamepad for switch games
I feel like saying things like "Nintendo Huge Reveal" should be saved for things like them finally giving news about the next console. Them announcing they're finally porting a 10 year old game to a system that is at the end of it's lifespan is... underwhelming.
Just need Windwaker & Twilight Princess 🙏🏻
I can't believe *ANYONE* ever thought Concord would actually come back as F2P
Live service games today are becoming like NFTs, the stigma associated with them is becoming more obvious every day.
Depends how they are done. Fortnite & expansions like Lego Fortnite are massive also games like Roblox
@@mikeuk666both games are directed at kids so that's kinda a mute point since kids have literally zero standards .
Roblox at least is especially, I can let Fortnite slide since it's grown more with its audience. (We had a metallica season ffs)
Fortnites Lego, racing and music modes are all complete failures though, that's why they pulled so much support from them. Lol
them chasing esg points and hiring activists sure isn't helping
Unfortunately Firewalk will forever be known as the Concord studio and shutting them down was the only way forward.
Even if they were to release anew game, imagine the marketing nightmare: "From the studio that brought you Concord." 😅
It’s wild that the Switch is getting Xenonlade Chronicles X, but still no Wind Waker HD.
I'm am almost convinced "Switch 2" isn't releasing until 2026 Nintendo always announces their new console release date 1 year in advance
It will be announced next March just before fiscal year end and share holders meeting
@mikeuk666 obviously but when will it release? again Nintendo almost always gives new consoles a release date/window 1 year in advance
Exact date of Switch launch was announced only 3 months in advance so it's not always the case
If they don’t release it next year it better be because they are using the full die of the APU and upping the VRAM to 24GB and pushing the core clocks to absolute limits and keep it running in a low power envelope because at this point with all the news around what we know to be the hardware specs and power budgets set, could have released earlier this year.
Switch was announced in October and released in March. How often do you make things up in your head and swear they're real?
As far as i remember the only thing the wii u game pad did was display a map, should be easy enough to make that a menu screen instead!
I never understood why people argued about that ofcourse it could just be a separate menu
It's not just the visuals of Dragon Age that took on a Pixar tone, it's the writing too. Like that quirky elf mechanic who's always dropping stuff, the wacky skeleton companion the necromancer keeps around, or the absurdly juvenile writing. I think by now most of us have seen that "romance" scene with Harding.
I never got the chance to play Xenoblade on the Wii U so seeing it coming to the Switch soon makes me excited.
Make no mistake about it, Sony will make us all pay for their failings!
Wonder when companies will realize that a majority of gamers aren’t interested in live service games.
I'm gonna be 100% honest it's a damn shame when another triple A developer studio gets shut down regardless of how you felt about their game it's still sad to see
I fully disagree they were established in like 2018 they're only game they have ever made has been Concord. That's literally it. Sony pumped in 400 million dollars on this when they could have given us a new ape escape (or a collection) , new uncharted, a new ratchet & clank (or a collection) and more at the same time while still having money left over. I'm happy to see them lose their jobs and I'm sad they ever had them in the first place.
@@James-ep8bhcringe
With the way they manage and made the culture on that studio.
And everyone just full of themselves.
Life just have a way to humble people and this is a lesson for these egoist people.
Firewalk walking the plank. Oh no the glorious Sony shutting a whole studio down.
Xenoblade and pikmin fans have thrived under the switch generation
Make bad games get shut down who knew, wonder if Sony can make concord a tax write off
Alright spawn. Let’s remember how excited you were about not knowing anything about xenoblade and then being surprised… fun right?
That’s what we want from the switch 2! No more predictions, no more heads up on when you think the direct is, just let us find out at the same time.
lost cause
And Nintendo doesn’t need 100 gigs to put out amazing games.
Modern systems use much higher quality textures, voice acting, cgi...
PLEASE everyone go out and support Xenoblade X Definitive Edition!!! It's a 10/10 game for me!!! Arguably the most beautiful open-world RPG with mechs that transform into vehicles and can fly!! Not to mention the optional online multiplayer elements and superbosses! I couldn't believe they just announced it out of the blue like that yesterday 😭 Def pre-ordering it ASAP
Haha Same! I'm a total simp for Xenoblade X
with the whole Concord budget thing we're going to pay for it to make up what sony lost
A 10 yr old game coming to swirch is a huge reveal 😂
How Nintendo keep doing this with peoples expectations really is outstanding.
It’s actually a game that many people have been asking for an Nintendo show the game that they know what gamers want and Sony and Microsoft should take note!
@Adamtendo_player_1 yeh that's fine but it's still just an old game!
@@villidid An old game nobody got to play! Xenoblade has a much bigger fanbase now on Switch and the series was way more obscure back when X released on Wii U. Might as well be a new game for most people.
@@Yu__Narukami that's fine but it doesn't make up for Nintendo's current schedule
So Concord will forever be the rarest platinum trophy.
It's ironic when your name is firewalk and then you get fired And have to walk out the studio
It’s scary how games have become make it or break it for studios.
It's only these live service chasing games that are just keep your budget in check companies
A 400 million dollar make or break shot.
And even if you make it in this industry, you're still at risk of getting shut down to make the corpos a few extra dollars. Tango Gameworks was really lucky to get acquired after Microsoft tried to shut them down despite making Hi-Fi Rush.
An episode without Nintendo's next console speculations. Feels good!
I follow nintendo on every platform , pokemon too. I never see anything from them or hear any news 😂 you are the only news i get for nintendo related news
Feels good been right that Switch 2 wont be revealed this year dude to the current Switch Holiday Sales
So how many WiiU exclusives still exist that anyone actually wants on Switch? I thought Xenoblade Chronicles X was like, the last likely one left and everything else was stuck there
I want the HD Zeldas, Color Splash, and Yoshi's Wooly World. That's it honestly.
@@Yu__Narukami and Nintendoland, but that's unlikely.
So what happened to that switch 2 reveal John????
I don't really care for the gameplay in XBX, but the exploration is top notch, and flying around in a giant robot feels GREAT. (though the world suddenly feels a lot smaller once you get access to it)
I think the marketing budget for Concord is bigger than a lot of people are assuming. Didn't they have weekly cinematic trailers leading up to the release and more planned? That's not cheap.
For those who don't know that is YS3, it's been on Steam for a while but the most difficult YS game
All that’s left from the Wii U is the Zelda HD remasters and Color Splash I guess.
Btw, that countdown timer website you reported on earlier this week has changed its end time repeatedly since every time it got to 0 nothing happened lol
Giving a shout out to RGT top Nintendo UA-camr
Random announcements are so much better than weeks of nonsense rumors and speculations, just so one can be “first!”
Bioware is cooked...
Firewall devs lose theye jobs for just doing their job, yet Hulst still has one. This was his brainchild. He said it was going to be their Star Wars.
Firewall 😂😂
This is the worst part, he and the management are the reason behind this fail yet the developers get punished instead
Yeah, let's keep the developer who made the crappy game and just punish the CEO instead.
Well considering that they made concord, they seems very crap at their jobs.
@@saelesbonsazse9919 the devs made what they were told to make. They just did the job. The upper management made the decisions on how the game would be. They're the ones to blame.
I firmly believe the PS5 Pro is $100 more than it was going to be originally because of the failure of concord.
And pretty sure the PS5 price was supposed to drop...and maybe the PRO was supposed to be the price of the regular PS5...
How I've been here since the dawn of Operation Rainfall and all these years later seeing the fruits of their labor is amazing.
Oath in Felghana has been available in the West for a very long time. It exists physically for PSP, and you can buy it today, digitally for PCs and consoles. The new title is Ys Memoire: TOiF and is an "HD Remaster" with new 2d character art, 60 fps, and a few QoL features. Honestly not that big of a deal as the end result looks about the same to me, but it's a top 5 Ys game and under appreciated so hopefully more people play it with this new release.
This indiana jones game seems like condemned game play which i think will be epic!
If Xenoblade is releasing to Switch, then it’s reasonable to think that the Switch 2 won’t be announced until much later than we think. Possible until the holidays of 2025
Once the HD Zelda games come over, the Wii U will truly be obsolete.
5:00 not what I was thinking 😅
Were you thinking F Zero? Because I was lol 😭
Unless Nintendo does something major with there cartridges. Seems like half of games would be on the cartridge or most likely even less. Which would make a physical copy useless. This could be a big blow to your physical media on switch. Which was one of the last consoles still fully on board with it.
"The first trailer looks great IDK what people are complaining about. Ok, the 1st trailer didn't look that good but, the gameplay trailer looks great IDK what people are complaining about. Ok the gameplay didn't look the good, but previews looks stellar. Ok, the previews were BS but, the reviews are amazing IDK what people are complaining about. Ok the reviews were BS the game is dog shit, but the next game is gonna be amazing..."
That decision wasn't difficult, I'm sure of that
I guess there won't be much of an effort to preserve Concord. Not that many people will miss it, anyway.

GTA6 has been awfully quiet since this announcement.

"Nintendo's huge announcement" Oh its just another wiiu game being brought over. Hmm...
yeah well. judging from the comment section, it kinda is a big deal.
Yeah but the Wii U poor people have been asking for, for a while.
It’s a not “just another Wii U game” for many people, this is a huge deal. You tech nerds can’t handle the fact that Nintendo gamers value gameplay over flashy graphics.
Now we just need Twilight and Wind Waker to let the WiiU rest in feces.
With Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Switch. If you also count the DLC games Monolith Soft have released 7 games on the Nintendo Switch and all of them are solid games. And most of them are also massive.
This studio is on a different level.
Xenoblade 2 was my first Xenoblade and it turned me into a fan of the series.
With every Xenoblade coming to Switch, it was an excellent time to become a fan. I feel like Nintendo might be getting these all on Switch to capitalize on new fans like myself.
So happy to see Xenoblade X finally getting a Switch port and added story content! Also oh no Concord, oh yeah the weather is nice today, isn't it?
Who's looking forward to the Concord episode for the upcoming Amazon video game themed anthology series, Secret Level, after all this shit. They said already it will still air, even though Concord was already pulled down earlier. And with Firewalk Studios... it's not surprising at all it came to this, but it's not a good thing to see people lose jobs in an industry having too much of that lately.
