Having grandchildren, I have been to Travel Town LOTS of times. I live only a couple of miles away here in Burbank. Young kids - especially the 5-6 year old set - LOVE the place. Even we more adult train buffs like to go there just to see any newer locos or rolling stock. Also, the shed they built was a godsend in the summer heat. The Harvey House "museum" is pretty cool as well! Also, one Sunday a month, they hold a "Thomas Day", where they drag out a TON of track, set up nice little wooden layouts, and let kids play their brains out with Thomas and his friends. And for we "adult" train nuts....there is a model railroad club with an N-scale layout in the Exhibit Hall as well. Even the little ones like to see the N scale trains running.
Travel Town is a very old school kind of attraction. But it is great for younger kids and adults who remember playing with train sets when they were kids. A great day to spend with the little ones and to look back how trains brought us the modern age. Thanks for your comments, keep watching!
I remember going to Travel Town with my family when I was younger i Loved getting the Hot Wax Gorilla before going Home.
Travel Town is kind of a right of passage that many, many remember as a highlight of their early childhood.
