Hello Larry! I'm the guy in the hat playing on your video. I use the Ketron SD3 and Midi Every week. I done the NAMM Show in California a few years ago with AJ! Ron Crites
Track 5 already has the harmony notes ... all you have to do is set the vocalizer to track 5. Most Tune 1000 Songs have vocal parts already 'written' in track 5!
Yes. You can do this with SD40, SD90, Audya4, SD3 and Midjay Pro. You would have to have a Midi Guitar pickup and that's it. You can also use foot pedals (Ketron K8) to change the chords while you simply solo and play your guitar as well.... the choices are yours to choose which system best suites your playing needs. Here is the complete Manual showing you how it is done (go to the last section - GUITARIST CORNER:- www.ajamsonic.com/KETRON%20SD40%20TUTORIAL%20-%20FINAL2.pdf
Hello again, does t play midi (GM) with its natural sound or with GM sounds? I hope you undestam=nd my question. I am sure you are professional muscian you you want to know ifyou midi song are produced in natural instrument or sequencer sound . thnaks
Ketron's GM table is made of Natural sounds ... so your midifiles trigger the 'Natural' sounds which you can still EDIT as regular GM sounds. In thua-cam.com/video/0RMMkOvYA0A/v-deo.htmlis demos here, you can see how the GM sounds are controlled in real time:-
Close .. SD40 and SD90 are more advanced with Arranger Features, e.g style creation can be done on the units directly. Midjay Pro is more advance for Multi Media Player features.
Hello, I have same equipement as you, Godin XTSA and Ketron MIDJAY PRO. I’m trying to connect them so I can control the rhythm through the guitars. Same as in your video. However, I noticed that 13pin connectors don’t fit Midi. Would you be able to share how you connected them? Many thanks in advance
Best to use the OMB/Casio (that have direct 5pin Midi out with no external devices needed). If you use any of the other units with 13 pins, you will need a converter box e.g. Roland to convert from that to midi 5 pins.
No. You can bring in new styles from other units. However, if you want a unit that can allow you to program new styles, create new sounds directly on the unit, then look at the KETRON SD40 AjamSonic.
SD90 ... if you want sampler, sequencer/Launchpad and can stretch the budget for a little more. SD40 if all you want are the basics as delivered and budget is tight.
Hello I have a ketron midjay pro, I'm having a really big trouble with it may be you can help, i have a Roland XR module and when i play a midifile from midjay pro it doesn't transmit midi mesaages correctly to Roland xr, it plays different sounds? My midifiles has GM GS messages, does midjay pro recognize and transmit these messages?? Or any other idea that i can use my midjaypro to play back midifiles to another module??
You need to 1. Make sure the Roland is transmitting in Polyphony mode (able to transmit transmission from all 6 strings at the same time). Roland ships in Monophony mode (transmition of 1 string at a time), so you will only trigger single notes in this mode and NOT be able to trigger chords. Hope this helps. Thanks. It will still operate as normal. You can actually get a line out from the GR55 and a line out from the KETRON - then using a mixer, have both signals going out your PA.Therefore you can choose to layer sounds from both instruments, or mute one or .... The choise is yours!!
SD90 has Live Guitars, Live bass, Live Drums and the LaunchPad (Style Sequencer merger) which are not found in the SD40. Watch the SD90 here:- ua-cam.com/video/J3KtKLrmloQ/v-deo.html

Can you program your own styles and sounds in this module...thanks

Intersting Video ! Thank you :-) I work with Line6 Helix , that has also midi function. Do you know if it works as well as your GR55 ?
Yes it does. Here it is in action with the CASIO MG510 Midi Guitar:- ua-cam.com/video/J3KtKLrmloQ/v-deo.html
So for a solo singer/guitar player should I be looking at the SD90 or the Midjay Pro ?
SD90 ... if you want sampler, sequencer/Launchpad and can stretch the budget for a little more. SD40 if all you want are the basics as delivered and budget is tight.
Hi, can you load new sounds into the unit(sd40) or create new styles?
You can create new styles and edit existing sounds. There is no sampler to load new sounds (for this, get the SD90).

When connected to the GR55, does this mean the gr55 is now muted or will it still operate as normal.

What country song do you play? Can you give the name of the band who played that number?
Which song?

Hi
Does it have to be a midi guitar to use this?
No. You can use a regular Guitar (Acoustic or Electric) and use our K8 Midi Bass pedals to change the chords.
How big difference between ketron SD40 and Sd90?
SD90 has Live Guitars, Live bass, Live Drums and the LaunchPad (Style Sequencer merger) which are not found in the SD40.
Watch the SD90 here:- ua-cam.com/video/J3KtKLrmloQ/v-deo.html
C'è differenza nei suoni con sd40?
Yes. This has more 'player' functionality, while the SD40 has more 'Arranger' functionality.
