Thankfully I have a friend who knows someone at Luxottica. So I got myself a pair of silver frame-navy leather-light green polar lense Protectors. And as I’ve been told they removed the “Protector” font. It just says Persol on the right ear rest. Cost… 200€ 👍🏼

Those look amazing! Do the leather parts interfere or get crumpled when folding them closed?
I loved the look of the sunglasses but at this price point, I wish it had a little more premium materials like titanium or carbon fiber frame and polarized lens.
I think they might be coming out with polarized lenses soon

Thanks for the review. Helped me pull the trigger on buying a pair. Question for you since you're plugged into all things Persol. With Persol seeming to show an interest in their older styles - Protector, McQueen, etc - have you heard anything about them bringing back the classic 58230 style, a.k.a. The Terminator 2 sunglasses? Would seem a natural to revisit. Thanks and great channel.

İn official web site leather parts look like much more dark blue rather then black. is it black ??
the colorway I reviewed in this video is no longer made by Persol. so yes the one on there website is blue and the one in this video is black

Not sure as long as you try and keep them dry they should be good. You could even treat them with mink oil to help shield them from water
