Gigli is the absolute worst romance movie I've ever seen. The "romance" between Ben Affleck and J-Lo is so forced and the rest isn't very good. If you ask me, 6% on Rotten Tomatoes isn't low enough.

Fools rush in is a classic and I loved their chemistry together! And I thought Katherine Heigl was well-matched with James marsden in 27 dresses. And I think Paul Rudd would have been a better cast for the male lead in marry me.
I totally agree with every word you wrote lol I love Fools Rush In! Katherine and Marsden did do a great job, they did well by their characters. I've never seen Marry Me though, so maybe not "every word" but I love Paul Rudd in sappy silly love movies so I'll take your word for it 🤩
I totally agree. Fool's Rush In is a great movie and I enjoy every time I watch it even if only for 15 minutes in passing. I thought they both were good in it.

Not rom-coms, but here are 3 more movie "romances" with absolutely no chemistry:

I agree with all of these except Fools Rush In. I love that movie and it is definitely an underrated classic rom com. I’ve watched it multiple times and I think they are adorable together. The whole point of the movie is the fact that they a complete opposite unlikely pair and the whole culture clashing of their families.

I think knocked up is a great movie, and that their chemistry is perfect for the story line. The whole point is that they are not well matched, but have to make it work. in the beginning, she even finds him gross, and wants nothing to do with him..

The worst rom-com couples with little chemistry was Amira and Ezra from You People because it was hard for me to root for them since I didn't feel a spark from them. Maybe it's because of Kenya Barris’ writing which at this point is very repetitive and similar to his show, Blackish. The romance would have been better had they hired a competent writer who knows a thing or two about writing a good romantic comedy involving interracial couples.
Agreed, I liked the actors, but I had trouble finding a connection or spark between them.
if it's true the kiss was CGI'd that says a LOT about their lack of on screen chemistry.
"Fools Rush In" shouldn't have worked but it did. Matthew Perry isn't a typical romantic lead but his "goofy guy next door" charm could appeal to some women who aren't obsessed with finding the cool, perfect guy.

Why did you had to start this video with that turkey time scene from Gigli? But seriously, I usually blame script writing for the lack of chemistry in these movies.
There's also a difference between having bad chemistry and characters being who they are. Most of these have bad chemistry, but a few of them had more to do with the awkwardness of the characters on one or both sides. In some of them, the bad chemistry was the point, so the list is odd with those despite being truthful.
I completely agree with this list the hookups in these movies were as wrong as it gets no chemistry they weren't even funny

Chemistry is overrated.
Who knows why couples work? It can only be explained by the people themselves.
Others might think it won't work, but it does.
Also, the whole premise is that a lot of them are mismatched at the start.
Ana and Christian- Fifty Shades Of Grey.
Jake and Aquamarine (even though I loved Aquamarine).
Belle and Beast( love Beauty and the Beast 2017 but Emma and Dan just felt meh).
Jonah Hall and the girl from you people was bad.

They were put for very little time, but Black Widow (Scarlett Johnasson) and Bruce Banner (Mark Rufallo) have 0 chemistry, she should had been with Steve Rodgers, that is to have chemistry, (Scarlett and Chris Evans)

again, you seemed to have mistaken GIGLI as being 'romantic': She used him for sexual recreation out of boredom, and there are any number of precedents for male leading characters going for casual sex. In this case, the couple are still stuck together for a while after the act, as required by their jobs.

I've never been a fan of the friends to lovers trope. I can sorta get it if their friends in more of an acquaintance sense but not life long besties who're suddenly hot for eachother. Now, enemies to lovers? That can be interesting if played correctly!
I hate that trope. It’s set up so many false expectations for guys (and girls) that all friendships can eventually lead to romance.

I think the movie was called It’s Like You Know. It had Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, and Paul Rudd, the chemistry between those three was absolutely awful.
1. Seen Ghosted; sexy but not good. Sadie and Cole are mismatch

Not in the list but in This means war, Tom Hardy and Chris Pine have 10x more chemistry together than either actors with Reese Witherspoon. Nothing against Reese but those two fighting over her in the film, I just won't buy it. Maybe if it was someone like Rachel McAdams or Jessica Chastain, it'll be more believable.

I love that so many people are like why tf is fools rush in on this list. If anything the movie Serving Sarah with Mathew Perry is a much better example of bad chemistry. Though I haven't seen it in awhile but I read his book and it makes more sense.

this voice over is terrible. her voice is too high in contrast to the actual audio from the videos. its also grating which made me turn it off

Also, how is her voice "too high?" If anything, her voice is on the huskier side
@@syria0110 not the tone of her voice its an audio mixing issue. there is a wide gap between the volume of the videos and her voice over. i dont like her voice but this is for the editors who need to level her voice better so it is more in line with the video. if they fix the audio it would help but i still find her annoying. this was meant to be helpful on top of letting me vent my frustrations

@@syria0110 its not pleasant and i didnt finish the video because of it. same with the monotone guy who reads the mojoplay videos. bad voice over people but this comment is mainly about audio levels the editors should see and adjust. the video was the worst i have heard from watch mojo team in terms of quality
