i gotta say, your english is so impressive. not only do you have a great vocabulary, but you use phrases and idioms that i would imagine are pretty difficult for non-native speakers to learn/understand. major props!
If it was a highlighter, blush, bronzer and contour concept, I'd be interested, but i could just get one of the glow duos and a mini palette and be a lot more personalised.
I also prefer a light hand with deeper shades over light shades that end up looking ashy or unnatural. This is the first combo palette I’ve seen that might be a perfect fit for me. There’s usually a shade that won’t work or a formula I don’t like. This could be THE ONE.
I love that you can't seem to do a neutral-only look, and just HAVE to throw a color on your waterline. I totally get it! LOL I try to do something neutral and my personality is like, "Nope! Gotta spice it up a bit." But this look turned out really classy and beautiful, and you did a wonderful job!
I don’t like icy highlights either because it looks like a stripe on my face. I usually wear my blush very high so it doesn’t matter if there is a slight cast. I am so glad I got this one 🤩
I'm a neutral lover so definitely got my eye on the light version of this palette, torn between it and the retro palette though - thanks for your review Angie, really helpful as always!
I think if you’re in the market for a blush, go with this because it’s limited edition…. BUUUT I’ve really been loving the Retro Palette, and think that would be the better investment. There’s also those 5Pans, and I believe she has a brown one that’s a bit similar (in that it’s a collection of browns a neutral lover would adore).
I just got mine in the mail (Dark Palette) and literally tried it on as I was watching the video. I'm a NC 45 in Mac and I love this palette as it looks so great on my skin. Almost like lit from within.
After seeing Charlottes Holdcroft’s review of the dark palette, I ordered it! As a neutral lover without a massive collection, I think this will be perfect for me, especially for travel.
Ahhh! I just finished up your makeup news video and here was your video on the ND face palette! We've been so blessed this week with Angie in our inboxes multiple times a day. ☀
Yay!!! I just happened to have today off. Hubby took the day before he lost them (paid days off) so I took off cause I couldn't let him chill without me and I'm blessed with sooo many Angie videos to watch in bed while I'm lazy!
I’m sure your everyday bright colors are fun to apply but you are STUNNING in neutrals! I love this look on you. And that blue in the waterline is mic drop.
Just rewatching. Rediscovering and using past holiday palettes as we approach the holiday season again. I got both the light and dark palettes, and I definitely prefer this dark one. Love this neutral look on you! When you did the blue in your waterline, your look almost turned out like the one I’m doing right now with Zendo! Lol. I feel like Zendo doesn’t get the love it deserves. I did: Balance: transition Mindful: lid and crease Zeal: outer/inner lid (halo) Yama: center lid Equilibrium: lower lash line, and wrap around outer lash line to the the outer lid over zeal. My favorite look ever.
Bring on the chocolatey goodness in this palette. Im still saving up my dollar bucks for a ND product of some sort lol Thank you for all your hard work and bringing us all the quality content Angi, you are truly amazing ❤
@@rebeccaalves4796 the Retro is calling my name more than the Glam is but I like them both. Get pics of them side by side and go with whatever calls to you more first then save again for the other palette xx
@@rebeccaalves4796 if you want something you can wear in almost every setting I would go with glam. Retro is much brighter and bolder so if you’re not comfortable with colors like that you may not like that, even though can be toned down. I would recommend trying a mini palette if you’re unsure!
Unpopular opinion: whilst I think this is a beautiful palette, I don't think that the highlighter and blush are deep enough to be considered dark. If dark is Rhianna then yes, it's dark enough, but I would consider a Nyma Tang or Lupita N'yongo to be dark. This isn't a criticism to you Angie or any individual in general, just more of a criticism of the makeup industry in general. What the makeup industry considers dark is still not inclusive enough for what most black women and/or men consider to be dark.
As an nc50 skin tone, I know this would work. I’ll be checking other videos as well but I appreciate Angie for not being cookie cutter and stepping out of the box with her picks. She loves color and I think it was fabulous she tried a neutral pallet for her viewers
@@shalas.6322 I definitely agree with your sentiments regarding Angie. I just think that what the makeup industry calls 'dark' is not sometimes really that dark. My comment was not meant as any sort of criticism towards Angelica - she steps out of the box and cares more about inclusivity than the vast majority of makeup UA-camrs
I saw them both in person and the blush and highlights looked just really odd choices to me. Again I just think that’s what happens when you try to make face palettes in limited colours. While I appreciate the light and dark options the face colours seem too similar, not going light enough or dark enough. I’m pale, the light highlight looked really gold and too dark. Who knows, maybe it might work for me. I honestly really preferred the dark palette eye shadow. It’s just too much money to not have all the colours be able to work.
Such a cool idea to have a bright poppy blue waterline with a brown sultry look like this! Those colors go so well with your blue eyes too 😍 I have a set from Colourpop of the gel liner pencils so I'll have to try this!
This palette is so beautiful!! 😍 and even when as you say, not everyone likes a face and eyes palette, I think these ones are perfect for a work trip! Because I think both (light and dark) are so classy and wearable! And definitely think was a good choice not to include a bronzer because that makes a palette less versatile (I think, because bronzer can be more suited to an specific skin tone than blush and highlighter). Now I’m confused if I should get the light or the dark one… 🤔🙄😁 thanks for the review! Super helpful!!
Wow! That palette looked great on you! And your skin tone. I like that it’s all in one and very convenient. Thank you for reviewing this. The look turned out beautiful as usual. ❤️👍🏾 ✌🏾
That pop of color was so cool! I’m so intimidated of using color especially since I do work in an office but I think how you wore it in this look is something I could totally do! 😊
I don't usually like a multipurpose palette but this one is beautiful. Love the colors on you. Pop of blue is so pretty. Stealing your idea. Perfect way to add color to neutrals. Blessings!
Angie, we know you prefer colorful looks but you just do reviews and looks so well! Thank you for giving us neutral looks with a twist! Very wearable. This looks gorgeous and I appreciate you for stepping outside the box and using the deeper color palette because that’s what makeup is about for me. Creative freedom.
I didn't see any holes in the eyeshadow spot in the back of the palette in promo vids, but since ND's palettes all tend to be magnetic (excluding minis) I'm hoping this one would still let me use a magnet to take and rearrange different mid-size shadows in her collection. It would be so cool to swap out some of those neutrals for her more colorful shadows that I love. Thanks for posting this video so fast! I loved seeing what you did with the palette.
Dang that’s exactly what I was looking for.. that is a miss on NDs part.. that way you could mix around the looks to go with the rest of your collection.

I love a good all in one pallet. I miss the cute shaped pallets that PUPA used to do back in the 90s and early 2000s that had like everything in them... Shadows, blush, powder, often even an eyeliner pencil and mascara. Someone needs to bring that kind of concept back.
Thanks for your review, I am a neutral lover and I always gravitate towards the darker face palettes, the lighter ones just do not do anything for my light to medium skin tone, it might possibly have to do with the yellow undertones in my skin, I always have such a problem picking out foundation online, so thanks for the review!
Yes!, I was very interested in this! I watched Charlotte Holdcroft's video on this dark version but her skin tone is a bit deeper than mine, so this was incredibly helpful to see the dark palette on a skin tone that is a bit lighter than mine 😍 😍😍 the look came out beautiful! 🤎💙🤎

Doing bright eyeliner in the waterline like that looks so pretty! I can’t tolerate having eyeliner in my waterline booooooo. I can do eyeliner under my eyes only. They get too irritated and watery with eyeliner in the waterline. I end up doing the bright inner corner highlight instead. I do a neutral look with bright neon green inner corner often.
Thanks for the review! Not gonna get it, I've got no business getting any more face palettes, but I was just curious to see what you would do. Lovely as always.
I was literally just looking at this online in the light version! So I'm interested to see what you think of it. *edit I stopped the video halfway and logged onto Cult Beauty to order it, I'm pale blue so only the light one would work for me. I also bought the Milk hydrogrip eye primer to see how that works for my oily eyelids.
I run into the same issues with palettes that combine face & eyes. Either the blush/bronzer or highlighter will be unusable for me to get the eyeshadows I prefer or I will need to bring in deeper shadows. I did take a peek at the palettes on Sephora & I think the shadows would probably be ok for me in the Light version but Idk if the blush would be too pink. I like the idea of having everything in one place for convenience when getting ready to speed things up & make it easier to pack for a trip or throw in a bag for touch-ups if you have a long day away from home. But yeah in theory these palettes are great unfortunately they won't work for everyone even though they're supposed to be universal or neutral. Curious to see what the reviews will say...

They get too irritated and watery with eyeliner in the waterline. I end up doing the bright inner corner highlight instead. I do a neutral look with bright neon green inner corner often.
i need this palette in my life!!!
Appreciate your timing on this review
Gorgeous♥️
Thank you for your hard work I love your videos and vlogs ❤❤❤
Thanks for the review! Not gonna get it, I've got no business getting any more face palettes, but I was just curious to see what you would do. Lovely as always.
" I finished something up... look at me.. Ha Ha..." - I actualy laughed out loud :)
Beautiful lady!! Love it!
I pre ordered this! Im so glad I did, cause I love this review
Just perfection 💕
I’m not a fan of the concept, but in this case works …
I ordered the light version this morning...how long til I cave and buy this one too. 😅
