Love, love, love listening to a good old boy like Terry tell us of the glory days of his youth. Its pure magic we will never get enough of. We're running out of his type every day., and they don't make 'em like him anymore.
    More please!!

This is an incredible video if you appreciate early muscle car history. So much of this is getting lost as time goes by. Those that lived and remember what happened with the fast cars of the day. I am 65 years old and can tell you there were many a late night ripping down some remote straight away in a 69 Camaro with a six pack of beer dreaming of what these guys were doing and trying to do what they were doing. It was an incredible time for muscle cars. Hope you can get more information like this in future before it is gone.

Although I've crossed into "old timer territory" myself, I could sit and listen to these slightly older old-timers talk for hours. They need to be documented, just like old war veterans, because when they're gone, they're gone. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview!

28:35 He's got a Bob Banning insignia trim....that was my neck of the woods. Back in the day Hyattsville, Md had a Speed shop on every corner. Now they are all gone. My mother bought her Dodge from Bob Banning. Banning was heavy into racing as well. Malcom Durham's Supercar engineering and Machine was in Hyattsville. Malcom long gone but his shop is still there run by his family doing mostly just auto repairs.

I was a kid in grade school in the mid 60s and remember all those cool cars roaming the streets. I was a car nut since I was 2 or 3. I called out the 57 Chevy as a classic car even before it was a classic.

Back in the early 80's I used to buy and flip second tier muscle cars. Back then you could get a 1972 GTO with a 400 engine, or a 1972 Ford Torino with a 351 Cleveland for less than a $1000. I would put $300 or $400 into them, and flip them for a couple of thousand dollars.

It would be a good idea to have a tv style series of interviews with the people like Terry from the era who dealt, , worked on , drove , raced , witnessed , grow up with this era of racing , street racing of the legendary cars , people and places eg dealerships , racetracks , dragstrips and the street locations. Before they are all gone. Of cource there would be apparently , maybe , or i heard. But would be lost if not for Terry's story of his life experience. Top video. 👍

Stumbled across the channel driving for work obviously I just listen super informative. It’s funny listening to him and the his history. My father owned a 68 SS Chevelle 396/375 and it got stolen so first he’s looking at a 66 L-72 corvette but he was 25 and it was 1971 so the insurance was gonna be just as much as the car payment. So then it boiled down to a SS Nova 396/375 but the clutch was worn and he wouldn’t come down so for the same 1900 he bought a 69 Copo with 36,000 NOT a bad deal his cousin in Virginia had a 69 Copo Chevelle. They were hot rods but they were just cars to folks back then
