The game that literally save the Fighting Game world during its darkest days, Blazblue.
Did it? I thought Street Fighter 4 did that.
Anime fighting? yes, i lived through that time~ Anime Fighting wasnt a thing back then, SF, Tekken KOF always had their fanbase. Melty Blood barely even heard, Guilty Gear is strangled with license issues too, and then Blazblue shows up to save the day for Anime fighting game~

It's learned behaviour: Ever since we first met him in CT's arcade mode, when he told us who and what he was and made the world tremble with just a fraction of his power, we've been conditioned to carp our pants at the mere sight of that white mask.

I still watch this to this day. From Calamity Trigger to Central Fiction. And the Ragna sacrifice still remain in my memory. He hug both Jin and Noel(with Saya memories) before leaving. Finally the time back to normal. The loop gone and the memory of the true hero forever gone with his sword.
If they ever bring Ragna back, to make his sacrifice impactful, make it so that it’s a reincarnation who’s design has heavy inspiration from him. And during the final game in that storyline, everyone learns the truth of how he’s a reincarnation and remember the events of Central Fiction.
@@paperluigi6132 Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, though not really canon has a pretty canon implication in chapter 15 of the last chapter, where Rachel just goes to the void to pick up Ragna in order for him to kick Susano'o's ass so it's not that much of a sacrifice

Death Usagi | Kantai Collection Maybe Hakumen dies, or Maybe Terumi creates a whole new one. But we all saw that he wanted his own armor back that Hakumen uses right now.
Jin is Hakumen, so what happens is that "Hakumen will have his soul ripped out, but Jin will take control of the armor later, recreating him and forcing Terumi into a timeline in the boundary during the aftermath of the defeat of the Black Beast, when he was hailed as a hero and admired. Deprived of the hate he needed to exist, he was killed in a final showdown against Ragna.

Remember the reason Jubei isn't playable is that they don't want a reenactment of what happened with yoda in soulcalibur. He is too small and most attacks will just fly over his hitbox when crouching. Mori must have a fix for that by now...
Only recently do I realized that the title "Centralfiction" refers to Ragna being the central figure in this fictional "story" that the Master Unit created for her own purposes.
The Master Unit was a brocon.

Hoping for the announcment of the new sequel and the Season 2 of Alter Memory with better animation.
Just came back to this after years of not seeing it and man Blazblue's story delivered like no other in the genre. I can't remember a single other fighting franchise that gave closure to most characters like this one did. I almost don't want a new entry (even if it's inevitable since this is a business) because Mori isn't involved anymore.

The first opening is 90% standing around motionless. How does it even compare to the others?
are you a nut? half the opening is fightscenes. hell ragnas hair alone was animated better than the entire cf opening

It's alright to prefer the slower paced style of that opening over other ones, but to call it the best animation wise is weird.
not sure what you mean by slow but the motion in that opening is so fluid compared to the others that look like slideshows. has that awesome almost gainax style animation
CP:E opening had the best animation by far. CT's is probably the best composed musically and aesthetically, but if you're judging it on the fidelity of the action, it's CP:E.
I hope they make a completely new sprite for Dark Susanoo.

@@tylerpancake780 I mean, there are plenty of unsolved plotlines and plenty of characters that didn't made it into the main line series. All the spin offs got really promoted in this game, so I assume Mori has more than enough material to work with.
Finally, the last chapter. Xrd 3 should be the last chapter in Guilty Gear as well. They should reboot their series afterwards with a new story and new characters.
