Waiting for part 2......
I've had this pair of speakers since 2011. The left speaker lost about half of it's volume so I've been compensating w/ balance settings. Unfortunately, I touched the back of the speaker and it's a lot hotter to the touch than I remember it ever being. I guess it's about time to retire them. Farewell my friends it's been a good one!
I got some of these 2nd hand and I have the same issue. I really hope this video helps!
Did you ever resolve this issue?
It’s normal this speaker gets to hot ???
The one with the amp gets to hot ??
Hello, there is a black cable that is stuck to the wood inside, could you tell me where it is connected, I accidentally detached it, thanks
hi,i got the same speakers and the sound shutdown in intermittent way ,can you tell me how to fix it ,thanks a lot for your help
hype hype hype
Why did I think there would be a Part 2 to this ??
Yeah I mean anyone can show replacing a capacitor but I want to know if it worked before I attempt it.
Alex Kinnee same here
i dont have the light around the dial for some reason
any suggestions?
What ended up being the issue?
I have this one and it getting hot after 5 minutes of getting on
I'm having the same issue with mine.
How easy would it be to convert the left speaker (the one with the amp) to a passive speaker like the right?
I wasn't able to fix it with the capacitor swap like I was hoping. I was thinking of recording a part 2 where I make them passive and use a small amp to drive them. If I make it I'll let you know.
@@majinzendo I was able to fix my left channel being quiet with capacitor replacement, but it was a different set of capacitors that fixed the issue, in the RCA input circuit.
