    Hi Tyanna,
Sustainability analyst in-house here in the fashion industry and previously was a sustainability consultant at a big4! This video is 100% relatable! One thing maybe worth mentioning is that switching from consulting to in-house you have the opportunity to meet with suppliers and understand their view on sustainability and how it affects the company’s decision regarding where to buy raw materials (might not be the case for all industries though).

Hi there, that’s definitely a great point! I think what’s interesting about that is depending on the company, the interaction and ask with suppliers will vary (raw materials vs finished good). Also noting which country they’re in. Sometimes there can be a language barrier!

Hi Richy, so true (re: getting more hands-on interaction with suppliers)! Thanks for sharing!

    Hi Tyanna,
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I’ve been following your channel since before I started my corporate sustainability and environmental management studies, and now I’m almost done-graduating in just two months! I've been debating whether to go into consulting or work as an in-house sustainability officer, and this video really helped clarify things for me. You’ve answered so many of my questions. Thank you again!

Thanks for sharing your experiences, Tyanna. I'm more on the consulting side these days, so it's great to get the perspective of someone working in-house in today's landscape!

@@yetundetaiwo4283 sure! I have tried different ones online but my favorite free platform is called Alison and it has a ton of different sustainability certifications to choose from. Great overviews of different topics!

@@yetundetaiwo4283 It depends on the type of role you want. I'd advise to look at the job requirements and work backwards from there (e.g., Sustainability Analyst role will have different preferred skills vs Sustainability Reporting role)

Hi Tyanna, I had been watching your videos and they are very helpful! I have a bachelor in Environmental Science and had been working in the energy sector for 3 years, then real estate for 8 years. Pivoting my career back to Systainability. Which of consulting or in house do you think it’s easier to get into?

    • @TyannaBui

Hi there, I can't speak for everyone but my thoughts is that getting into consulting will be easier than in-house, but you'd most likely have to start from the bottom if you don't already have relevant experiences. Hope this helps!

    Hi Tyanna,
This video is super helpful! I am currently pursuing my undergrad degree. Specifically a major in Environmental and Sustainability Studies, Certificate in business as well as minors in GIS and environmental management. Do you have any advice on how to get ahead in the job market or certain skills I should try to obtain?

    • @TyannaBui

Hi there! I’d say to think about the job you want then work backwards from there. The skills required vary based on the role you want.
