Hi, just found your helpful 'pinkie' video, I thought you might be more likely to see a Q here...As someone asked in the comments there, do you have tips on increaseing the power of finger 5 in a chord? e.g. a 7th or 8ave with the 3 played also? There's one in the L in Burgmuellers Arabesque that I am having eveness issues with (G/B/F) despite my repeating efforts and approaches.
Thanks for your Q. Couple of things I can say in text form: experiment with placement of fingertips either out toward the ends of keys or in toward the fall board. In a 1-3-5 chord the 3 should be well in front of the others. And you can make the pinky "taller" by bringing it back closer to the hand.
@@patrickcashinpiano Thanks for this Patrick, I can reach a 8th okay and even a ninth but playing a middle finger inside even a 7th is challenging but I suppose just something that comes eventually with practice, and great tips that are generously shared.
Excellent please keep going explaining these techniques in further details and videos
A very helpful video. Can you explain this in more detail with the wheel? There are so many ways to use the wheel. Thank you very much ❤
Yes indeed. The wheel video will be next and should be up by the end of this week.
