- In this video, I've explained the pulse width modulation (PWM) signal with oscilloscope.
I explained the calculation for how to calculate the value of T-on (On time) and T-off (Off-time) in the pwm signal.

I have been looking for an actually informative video beyond just explaining PWM, and you certainly have provided that here. Thank you.
Brilliant. Now even I can understand PWM thanks to your very concise lesson. Thank you.
You're welcome sir...
I noticed in the comments that you replied to Sarah Michelle “now I am looking for a good job”. I pray your search has been successful. I have a great deal of respect for anyone that can explain complex concepts as well as you do.
Sir, I don't know how to reply to this comment. Really, thank you so much from my bottom of my heart.
Excellent explanation brother. Loved it!!
Glad to hear it!
Excellent information appreciate it
I am a brazilian electronic tecnician , my first linguage is portuguese.I can get you explanation in english!!!!!Thank you and God Blesses you my friend!!!!!
And I'm Indian electrician, my first language is Bengali and Assamese but I'm trying all the things in English. My English pronunciation is not so good but I'm happy to know that people are getting my English all over the world. Thank you so much my friend, love from India.
Clear and nicely presented thumbs up 👍
How are you getting a perfect square save from a 555 timer ic usually the wave is not flat at the top it somewhat inclined at an angle
What PSU did you use?
Gophert cps-3205 ii
@@EEWave thanks 😊 I'm afraid to probe my circuit because I use switch mode power supply I just bought hantek dso2d15 i want to know when is it safe to use my oscilloscope.I don't want to lose it because of some stupid mistake
Great job!!!!!Thank you for sharing knowledge with us!!!!!!
You're welcome my friend...
I want a pwm with minimum 20khz
What parts should i use?
That will provide minimum 20khz(i want it for dc motor speed controling)
I've just included a video link in the description. It's about speed control of DC motor. I hope that video will help you.
#sir plz tell me for very low frequency should i used 2 diodes or not
I want to operate pump for 5 min on and 20 min off in a repeat mode
This was very helpful! I've been changing up the capacitors to change the frequency. How would I update the circuit so that it stays at 50% duty cycle but I can change the frequency, between 9 and 15 hz? Thank you!
learned a lot of things 🥰
Thank you so much.
Does anyone know why he used 2 diodes for controlling the duty cycle?
Please sir how to generate sin wave for inverter without microcontroller ..
thank u sir😘✌️
Ok I will try
@@EEWave thank you 😘🌹
valuable information thank you which frequeny i ll get with 1nf 10nf 100nf calculation method please.
You own an ossciliscope 🙀🙀.
Nice presentation, can we generate pure sine wave by using this method.
Why didnt u directly connect potentiometer as RB ..what is the reason for using diode...plz explain..
Hey nice video thanks for sharing!
It is real help
How to select the value of potentiometers and resisters in the last circuit?
Why did you use diodes ? Please reply
why is pin 5 is connected to the cappacitor?
❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the making this video, it was very straight forward... I'm trying to design a circuit to control a 4-wire PC fan using PWM and a 555 timer. My understanding of the standard 4-pin fans is that they expect a frequency around 25Khz. I'm having trouble figuring out what components to use in order to maintain 25Khz frequency and also provide speed control using a potentiometer. Any suggestions?
Please watch this video. 555 controlled servo motor. I hope this video will give you some idea.

friend i made a power booster with the help of 555 ic the i hae shorted the 2 6 7 with the 1 k pot then connected to 5 volt from there on connected the pin 8 . and from pin no 3 connected a transistor bd139 but the ic is not generated any pulse when i disconnected the gorund pin from pin 1 then i saw the transistor is working fine but it is heating . my question was why this transistor is heating . while connected ground with the pin no 1 i saw the out put volatge from pin no 3 is .52 olt i connected on capacitor 10 pico fard in the input section . please adive .
Hi please how to made boost converter by using ne555 pwm and mosfet
It is much helpful for me.. thank you sir!!
I have a question sir.
How much maximum frequency can this timer IC give in output?
You're welcome dear.
It's about 500 kHz at 5v, if you increase the Vcc upto 15v, then it'll be something like 1.5 MHz.
@@EEWave how do I get frequency in the range of 15kHz to 25kHz?
I ve read somewhere that the PWM of 555 can be only upto 50 % duty cycle......but how do you get 1 % duty cycle bro?? 🤔
Hello bro.. it is possible to get 1% duty cycle with this circuit. Please watch my "Astable mode of 555 ic" and "internal circuit of 555 ic" for more information.
@@EEWave Okk bro .....pleasure to have your rply bro....
I'm getting a +53 milli volts for some reason... I'm also using an 8 volt source for the chip.
U know how to generate GATE PULSE or pwm by TEXAS INSTRUMENTS DSP....
From frequency how to calculate the value or range of resistor??
Dear Sir !
In my Practice I should call this method rather puls with variation, nor modulation. You modify some resistor's value by hand, so it occures the change on on/off ratio.
If we talking about modulation, that means we modify the on/off ratio by the modulate signal, wich covers information ( for examole for regulation, or communication ( radio transmitters ).
you didnt mention the diode values(diode specifications)?. can any1 ?????
You can use any Diode.
Plz made a vedio on ME 650 apparatus for astable multivibrator 555 timer connected to DSO how to what's is process for plzz rqst within 2days plz rqst
How much that oscilloscope costs
But sir in this technique frequency is varie with on off time
For constant frequency what we can do
I have the same doubt
what represents the 0.693 constant?
ln(2)
Circuit diagram?
materials list please
