There's just something amazing about watching everyone work together to defeat a common enemy. Police first responding and holding the line, civilians rolling in the support the police, then the military coming in with the big guns. Just breathtaking.
At 0:13 Some folks will only understand of what this scene is. It's a homage to the Saga of the Dead flashgames especially Road of the Dead. Where you play as John Creasman as the mechanic, having one goal driving his Ford Mustang is by getting out the quarantined city while the military tries to stop you.
Difference being that this infection isn't quite as virulent, the zombies aren't as tough to kill (it's mentioned in Road of the Dead 2 that one has to shoot specific parts of the brain to kill them), the Mustang here isn't as upgraded, and everyone actually knows what they're doing.
The civilian/police helicopters + the smoke + the civilians fleeing, this whole atmosphere gives real credibility to the tone. We feel that the city is at the forefront of contamination. I really like the shots with the helicopters and combat planes, their appearance on a rounded trajectory with a view of the city makes the rendering relatively realistic. Bravo for this video, I enjoyed watching it!
every mans dream: hold the line of zombies with unknown people while others escape knowing you are either gonna die fighting or live to see another day, absolutely phenomenal
This is how I imagined the local outbreaks in US would happen in the "World War Z" (minus the fast zombies ofcourse) before the security forces became overwhelmed. This is always fun to watch, keep up the great work
I like the idea that every now and then he starting to add the local citizen as part of the defense team so it'll make it easier for the police to eliminate the living dead.
Seems like whenever an outbreak gets this big, as soon as the police sets up a hard point the civilians who are armed join in. Which.. seems and feels accurate. Group think.
@@Darqshadowit’s motivation factor. Those that can and will help most often do once one individuals steps in. It’s just the breaking of that initial barrier that makes all the difference.
I swear this is what people with guns need to do it just made me mix all my emotions and made me happy about this just best zombie video ever to go down in history and imma watch it again
I'm just gonna ask how on earth he managed to portray a battle with the police, common civilians and military accurately and are capable of held down their guard to a huge horde unlike most major flims/shows when only the major characters are competent leaving the police and the military to be cannon fodder in a zombie apocalypse. Edit: Forgot to mention this is Zombies and Demons, zombies with both demonic enhanced abilities and still they managed to neutralize the threat.
It's for better or worse a movie trope. State response often has to fail or there would be no (post-)apocalypse setting. Although to be fair depending on the type if infection, it would be hard to say if this wouldn't unfold in reality too. Society and official responses have various breaking points eventually if a zombie wildfire spreads or depending on infection vector and incubation period. Most classic zombie fiction limits it to direct fluid contact, bites, etc. What if it was transmissible like a cold or similar and result in zombification and have an incubation period of a few days at least, if not two weeks? Yeah, would hit society different.
You DID see that most of the police and even militia died in the initial chaos. It's only when zombies become blob that they're either unstoppable or easily wiped out, a total black and white outcome.
Bro no way was that accurate 5 police men and a couple of civilians took on a entire zombie hoard Realistically if that were to happen they would be trampled they might kill a few but there's no way that they would hold.
This small group of soldiers were able to land headshots on every single zombie without fail; on top of that, they never ran out of ammo. In a real life situation, the horde would've wiped them out quickly. Even if they weren't trampled in the first few seconds, they would run out of ammo just as fast.
I like the continual increase in civilians working together and helping the police. I think the next step is neighborhoods forming their own squads that work together to hold areas on their own or reinforce police where they can.
The Aegis series might still be my favorite of your content, but this is hand's down your best cinematic work! The cinematography in this one is a step above, well done!
I don’t know why but that ending shot with the military pulling up behind the wall of fighters made me tear up a little. Guess I’m a sucker for good endings that you rarely get. Great storytelling and thank you for uploading as always.
I love the fact that any civ with a gun came to help the line. Everyone put their differences aside for one common goal. Even the paramedic picked up a gun to help out. The military could not of showed up at a better time tbh. Hell of an episode
Out of all the guys who do this, You are by far my favourite one. From camera angles to quantity of entities is insane. I biologically need you to make one for WWZ Battle of Yonkers haha
😊Thank you, I love your videos, don't stop, please, I need your videos, I love them, if you stop, I don't know how I'm going to live, thank you, and post more :)
I think this would be pretty accurate to most of the US. Considering how 1. The police are very well equipped and 2. Plenty of Americans own firearms. 3. The US military packs insane firepower and mobility

Dude the paramedics when they came in, that's so fucking cool.
