Today I'm checking out if Battlefield 5 is worth it in 2024! The game has recently seen an increase when it comes to people playing the game, so it's time to check out BF5, that was released six years ago (2018) and is one of the epic Battlefield games that you should try out at some point!
And an amazing fortifications system. It also has HMGs and Cannons around the map as emplacements. Just classic BF with the best movement in the series.
Good comment! Yes, bigger devs and publishers should start to take care of their games better. At least the EA Anti Cheat system will now also be added into BF1, but there's more to it as well. Not to mention Activision that leaves most Cod games behind after the new yearly release has been made.
@@40splishsplash it’s definitely great news to have anti cheat in BF1. That used to be my favorite BF before it was infested with hackers. It’s just sad to see all the older BF titles (the best BF games imo) be abandoned.
@@rinzzzlr6149 Yeah, I agree. When the EA Anti Cheat was implemented in BF5 around April this year, some cheaters moved over to BF1 instead..! But now they'll get a harder time over there as well. At least something positive :)
More players probably means people are getting sick and tired of playing Call of Duty, which is becoming a horrible game. Welp, unless you spend a crap ton of money. 😂
@@ItsTheNarrator If you haven't played so much fps multiplayer games, there will be a learning curve no matter what, I believe. However, the good thing with a Battlefield game is that the maps are pretty, there's both infantry and vehicles, so you can most of the time choose your own pacing of the game. Hope you'll have fun if you decide to play :)
@@40splishsplash Never played a multiplayer game. But FPS games I’ve played before. I just wanted to know how the community is with new players, because for example the Fallout 76 community is super welcoming to new players
@@ItsTheNarrator You'll most likely have a mix of people and different behaviour when playing an online game. The more competitive a game is, the more harsh can some people become. But the Battlefield games are casual shooters and most of the time people are just busy having fun playing :)
As a person who has never played any battlefield type game at all, who is just looking at the discounts on steam seeing that most if not all the BF games are on sale. What BF should I get (if not all) and in what order should the priority be. I'm looking mostly towards the BF single player campaigns since I have heard many good things about it so that should be the no.1 priority for selection.
I don't think it really matters, when it comes to which BF game you decide to play first. Either you wanna go in chronical order, refering to when the games were actually released. Or you might wanna start with let's say BF1, since it's WW1, and then play BF5, which is WW2. And maybe after that some "modern warfare", which is BF4...Well, it's a suggestion :D
Yeah gonna second 40splish a little, there's not a lot separating them in terms of quality for the newer ones. If you like WWI and the idea of doing a cavalry charge and grenading a tank sounds fun then BF1 may be for you. BF 2042 has tornados, wingsuits and slightly more futuristic vibes. TLDR it's all whatever vibe you're looking for. If you want WW2, then I have to recommend Hell Let Loose as a slightly more realistic shooter with Battlefield classes and feel.
@@40splishsplash Hell yeah forget what people said. You can tell they honestly tried to. Improve the gameplay from the last one. I'd kill for them to come back and update it One more time. But we know that ship is torpedoed and sunk.
The game is fun but the only thing that bugs me is a lot of historical innacuracies. Like red dots and scopes on every rifle it's so weird seing that on a game that claims to be a WW2 game. If they didn't claim that it would be alright for alt-history game.
Yes, I can understand your reaction. Battlefield is more of an arcade shooter game more than anything else. I believe there might be more accuracy when it comes to weapons, uniforms and gear, in a free to play WW2 shooter like Enlisted :)
@@40splishsplash I know I play Enlisted, Hell Let Loose and Squad 44 for authentic WW2 experience. BF5 is fun but still it's stupid that people have red dots. Like I enjoy fast action but let's shoot each other with iron sights not red dots like we are in a modern war if you get what I mean.
@@redcape2184 Yes, I know what you mean. I remember when Call of Duty Vanguard was released, even though Cod is an arcade shooter, there was a lot of discussions and opinions when it comes to red dots on WW2 weapons.

Thanks for your comment and also your suggestion! I will consider that...Nice to also hear that you did try out Rogue Company! And the Xbox Game Pass is pretty good when it comes to playing a bunch of games, not having to pay much at all :)

It's still a good game but there are some negative points that points out: - The majority of the matches are extremely one-sided. - The extremely short TTK - The dominant players are mostly medics armed with high RPM guns such as the Tommy Gun or the ZK-383.
Thanks for your feedback! Yes, it is not a perfect game by all means, I have experienced quite some one sided matches myself, being on "both sides", so to say.
I’ve been playing bfv on and off for years and I’m about to start playing again because it’s always been a great game, in my opinion. I currently play PUBG and played old school RuneScape for 15 years but for some reason I always come back to battlefield 1 or 5 , the classic world war vibes are amazing. Great video!
Good question, although it's hard to find an answer since there aren't really any stats available, when it comes to console or/and PS5 only. I know that there has been around 466k peak players a day during the last month, playing BF5. That includes all platforms. With that said, there has to be quite a few also playing on Playstation, but that's just a guess on my behalf.
I think the anti cheat doesn't work on the asia server, almost every game you can see a soldier sprint like hell with a MMG and headshots you 😂 or a tank that multiple times instantly repair without resupplying.
For $3 right now its fucking great. Im loving it. Really fun since I wasn't around for the Year 1 headaches and all that jazz. Feels balanced though, all the guns are smooth, vehicles feel great to use. Also did a good job with the immersion. There isnt 100s of unlockable weird attachments for guns. Theres a few for every gun and thats it. 9/10
