It's a great game. Good story, memorable characters, and good gameplay. You may even forget it's supposed to be an H game. Though the main character may take some getting used too. He's not evil, but his morals are......pretty out of wack.
I don't know man, after the soft reboot his morals are pretty decent kekw, especially in Rance X where he comforted a certain crying dark lord and stayed with her until she calmed down. He even acknowledge it's his fault and apologized. Such a heartwarming scene. Oh I also remember that one scene where he withheld himself of going after a certain woman of his army because she told him she has a husband and a son waiting for her return. It took place in Rance's castle onsen if I'm not mistaken. also what did masaru ootaka said?
@@dennisdustin6895 Having moments of empathy isn't going to change all those times he forced himself on various women. I'm not aware of any retcons outside Kichikuou Rance, but doesn't Rance still outright rape women of enemy armies? I know that was still the case in Sengoku.

Nope. Alice is a sort of meta character and Rance takes place in a story book that she is reading. Goddess ALICE is a Goddess that is beneath the three Creator Gods who is below Ludo Rathowm.

Despite not really liking the game itself (can't really cope with comedy-rape, the protagonist definitely isn't a likeable person) the soundtrack was just amazing. Rebirth the Edge was my favorite song there, this arrange of it is even better

And Rance is, along with the gameplay, one of the most wonderful thing in this game: at last a true asshole, not a dark-but-eventually-kind guy like all those generic characters, but a true dick who don't even care. Rance is unique, i've done many rpgs and i can tell it's one of the best main characters ever (with Lenneth, Cloud and Caim), and at least the most hillarious ever.
This music easily surpasses so much other music I hear in games, I am in awe
