Maryam Rodgers I am white, that is true, but the thing is I have kinky curly hair and it took me years to figure out how to deal with it... and my hair tends to get so dry and ends break so easily and straightening them takes literally hours (that is probably the reason I don't do that often) and the hairstylist have no clue how to deal with it as I live in a country where 99% of people are white
@@murloc9544 If you say that because you know they don't have experience with your hair type, then no. If you say that just because they're a different race/ethnicity, then yes.

Jaime N she did have 4c that was a twist out that's why it looked looser in the curls. check out some vids on youtube just put in twist out on 4c and that is what our hair looks like until it get wet.
I'm white as can be. Most of my friends are black and I've had braids/cornrows and they've used my hair products and tools. If someone knows hair, they know. Your color doesn't determine your skill.

Olivia H. nah it's just expensive for extra schooling and all the stereotypes gets to us LMFAOOO like all through out the video they say how they wouldn't let a white person do their hair and how white people cant do hair. idk it's just like why learn if you're just gonna get shit on for it ya know
Melodi Singleton it’s just that black hair has a very different texture that most white people arent familiar with. but if they really work hard at it they probably could 😂😂
My dad is black and my mom white and I got the black hair from my dad and my mom is white and she is not gentle at all, she does my hair and braids tho and it's good af
Pork Chop Extra Gravy not neccesarly. some amazing white hair stylist can't even began to touch a black persons hair because is completely different in texture, procedure, combs, and products. same goes to black hairstylist not being able to do white ppl hair. I think you have to be a truly amazing and diverse hairstylist to do any hair.
Evan Arnault not true. I've seen many UA-cam videos of black hair salons korea where the ajummas slay the black hair. Plus when I was little I had a Chinese babysitter who used to braid the shit out of my hair
Here's the thing. Black people aren't born knowing how to do their hair and white people aren't born knowing how to do their own hair either. As you grow up you become familiar with it and learn what works for you. A hairdresser generally specializes in a certain type of hair, though they can generally do all types. So a white person can do black hair if they get enough practice however a black person would likely be better since they have more experience personally and vice versa.
Just a UA-camr that is what I meant in my comment. If they are trained then they would know how to style kinky hair. Mostly if you are going to work with that type of hair, then that is your main hair to work with.
I got my hair done from a white girl from a salon I went toward the black girl but she pointed at the white girl because she was cutting some man hair like she was going to be busy for hours I was upset but sucked it up smiled my way to the white girl l.i have thick hair and shoulder length so I was thinking if she mess my hair up I'm taking flight over to the black girl that sent me too the white girl I almost felt sorry for the black girl she over there cutting hair ke keing and don't know she's 1 hour away from getting body slammed.but when the white girl was finished my hair was shining bone straight with a cute cute.so YES WHITE PEOPLE CAN DO BLACK HAIR.
Seriously??..I've been doing black hair for years & make serious bank doin it..unless I put in a white chicks extensions I don't make half the money I do w/ putting in some micro braids or even doing a full blow out & press....color doesn't have shit to do w/it.
Army Is Everywhere, Including here!!! :D Oh my god just stop with that. It's not a skin color thing, it's a hair texture thing. I know white people with curls that have little trust in most stylists. Dealing with curls takes a lot of skill that honestly many stylists don't have.
Yea, I didnt take to much offense too it. You gotta come at these videos knowing they're all comedians. Plus there was a very important out come: learning that stereotypes are based off of loose narratives and the lack of knowledge. In this video they discovered that maybe were actually alot alike. I enjoy that. One step closer to being able to live in harmony
Aneya Smith they didn’t make them seem anything baby, those were THEIR reactions. They were being almost ignorant even and negative, I didn’t like that either. that was on them no one else. And this is coming from a black woman.
When I was bout 25 this white girl name peaches use to braid my hair bout every other weekend. And it looked good and she was only 13 but she did grow up round black ppl.
dice dragon i have that problem to like put gels in my hair it just dosent work nothing can calm these curls so you just have to embrace them and wear them even though it take self cofidence but it nice after it happens
dice dragon i don’t wear it to school i just wear it outside of school and i get so many compliments because there is so many black or mix girls who do like there natural hair and i brave these day they try to get that straight hair to fit in but your natural hair is equally beautiful
Ooo that’s really cool that your mom can do that. But there’s a difference between black, white, and mixed hair to be honest. And all types of hair. I mean no hate in this comment.
What is this world? 🙃 Why shouldn't a professional be able to do black hair? It's not about the colour of the skin, it's about talent and if you know all about the type of hair you are doing. Someone who isn't a professional or has been doing it for years (successfully) wouldn't know how to correctly do any type of hair.
Julia Stylinson You have to go to a black barber shop. White people can if theyve learned, but black people cant just go to any stylist and expect them to know how to do black hair. Although that would be ideal, most stylists only learn how to style hair above 3c. This is a dumb stereotype to debunk though because black people know if you go to a black barber shop, regardless of the barber's skin color they're there to cut/style black hair. I don't know many people that would doubt that.
Nina Adams right?! I’m half white and half Peruvian. Grew up in the hood of Richmond CA. I learned how to braid, extensions, dread & hot oil treatments. 💕 Love learning how to do different hair types other than my own.
Well some a lot do but when i say i have to wake up at 5:30 and need atleast an hour to do my hair for school at 7 i mean it bc ill have something in mind then ill have to change it vc i had to prepare the night before. Then my arms get tired and then i end up just doing a bun bc im lazy and ran out of time
I feel like proper hair stylists should be able to do all types and textures of hair. Same thing with makeup artists on different skin tones. I get with some it’s not your hair type so it’s a bit difficult but you should learn to
Chloe Miranda you can be proper and still don't know to do a certain type of hair cause of experience and the demographic you cater to. A white person can do a black person who has Permed hair or lose curls. Doubt they can manage very kinky hair. My hair is too kinky so I wouldn't allow someone who doesn't have my hair type. If I was still Permed I would take my chances.
Chloe Miranda They "should" be able to, but the fact that our hair texture is totally different than their own, most white stylists don't take the time to learn how to style our hair. It's not a bad thing, they're just not interested in learning a different texture than their own. We use different products, tools, and styling techniques. Therefore it's surprising when a white person knows how to style African American hair.
Most people aren't trained to do all types which is why Black Hairstyling developed the way it has. It's one of the reason there is a separate market. White people can learn but it would take a conscious effort to do so. Odds are you're going to practice your technique on people you know which is more than likely going to be people from your own demographic. It's not malicious so much as oblivious. People who sit outside the mainstream will always have to do more to get their needs met. Try buying make-up for dark skin tones in Japan. Again it's not malice but if it's not something you use you probably don't think you need to have it.
josh Brz You probably text people and use “bc” for because or “smh” so don’t tell me about me being UNEDUCATED. I’m educated enough to know how to speak. “Yo” is slang just like any other shortening of words so you can hush now.
Dominiq Adakoum “highly incorrect” lol. Some white people have thick curly hair as well and they need to use certain products to tame it. It has nothing to do with race lol, just because you’re not used to working with a certain type of hair doesn’t mean you can’t learn. Like? I don’t understand the point of trying to prove that wrong.
Dominiq Adakoum also you clearly don’t know anything about a white persons hair, it isn’t dry and crusty at all. Some yes have thin hair. But like girl come on, using race as an insult? 🙄🙄
ERO. .MINZY color has to do with a little bit of it, they usually wear different hair styles and have different back grounds so different experience and new techniques
I am black and find this video offensive, black people it has nothing to do with the hair it's just that throughout the whole video the black people were making insults about white people calling them names but if it was flipped yes every black person would have scream out racism if white people were to insult black people the same way they did in this video it would have been a different conversation.
Im biracial and my mom learned to do my sister and my hair like a pro! I have friends whose moms are white and she can braid 2-4c hair amazingly and I have some black family members that can’t do cornrow and can’t handle natural hair.. it’s a “stereotype” just like ALL stereotypes! If you take the time to get familiar with different hair types & textures you can master it! That goes for EVERYTHING that people have linked to a specific race be it good or bad.. real people break those stereotypes down everyday and that what we need to focus on. Some people got mad about this video but it wasn’t a bad assumption it was something that a person that isn’t black or not surrounded by would automatically know how to do.. it takes learning and the amazing ones with God given talent💜💜💜 All in all we need to knock down and get rid of ALL stereotypes
Just cause you don't know how to braid as black person, does not mean when you learn how to braid it's not better than white or anyone else. Black do hair better period. I could tell the hair was done by a white person cause it looked too bland.
Damn. The only difference is that we have different colored skin. Its not impossible to learn how to do a differently textured type of hair. Why does everything have to be about race?
The point of the video was to break down streotypes. Plus, it is easier to just say black/ white. Cause black people have different hair textures. what would yoy rather they said?
Konyinsola Ogunrinde I understand that fully, but they were very racist about the whole thing as if somehow you immediately sucked at doing black hair if you were white.
Alexandria Estrada-Rampa Uneducated, yes. But not racist. Racism is way deeper than who you won't let do your hair. Most beauty schools don't teach how to handle black hair. So it would be rare to see a white person who didn't suck at making black hair
Maybe it's because white people and black people have different hair textures. VERY different. If I went into a white salon (which I have) they wouldn't know what to do with ny afro! They either do a bad job, or just give up and give me my money back. That's just how it is, get over it.
As a white guy, black people really do good hair. LIKE FOR REAL. They do *amazing* . I've gotten my hair done by a black woman and she did better then any other white lady (or guy) that has done my hair.
Predicting the next reply: *as a white girl, why do you have to call us out like that? Why does it matter if we’re black or white? Any stylist in the world could do any type of hair for any race, so could you kindly shut the fuck up* I’m neither white or a girl so chill.
what I'm saying is that anyone can learn to do anything, even if it doesn't come from their own race/culture. white people can learn to do black people's hair, and black people can learn to do white people's hair.
yes I know where you are coming from, but not all white hair is straight. There are a lot of different types of hair coming from many different races, even if their skin is fair.
Willow Burger I agree with you. Doing hair has nothing to do with skin color and yes, people do have different hair textures but that doesn't mean they can't do others hair. It depends on the stylist you go to. I don't doubt people have gone in and it became a disaster because of their lack of experience but it's wrong to say an entire race can't do a type of hair because they're "inexperienced". Racism goes both ways and this video was very racist towards whites. Some of the following comments continue to prove my point, that being whites are discriminated too.
Well I’m proud of white people for learning to do our hair. Black models in the industry in another video on UA-cam have complained about white stylists struggling to do their hair and their managers prompting them to shave it off. The makeup was a problem too. Of all the white stylists in the industry I hope the beautiful black models in referring to went to this celebrity stylist. She is brilliant and smart for learning about different types of hair. If I feel like it I’ll edit a link to the video I’m referring to. On a side note I’m still going to a black stylist since black people need support in the black business.
Ogre Doug really, so what your saying is, most white people know how to cut black peoples hair? I could walk up to almost any white person and they could give me a fade and they would know that I use pomade and a doorag for waves? And they know to cut with the grain on waves? I Highly doubt it. Them using the same person on each head. Let alone a specialist. Isn't representative of most white people. Gtfooh! As a matter of fact walk up to the next 5 random people from a different race and with different texture hair and ask them to cut and style. I Bet you would think twice. Just like I'm not taking my black ass into Great Clips asking for a fro taper fade Or "the bishop" from the movie Juice.
Do what thou wilt Always. Do you know how to do white people's hair? No I highly doubt it, yet if you specialized in all types of hairstyles you could easily fool people if the same test were conducted using black hairstylists and white hair. The rules are the same for everybody. Like anything else in life you learn by doing, keep practicing and you'll get good at it.
honesty90 Black people aren't the only race with uniquely textured hair. How foolish of you to assume all white people have straight hair. It's you though so I'm not surprised
VICTORIA Williams All hair is different. Nobody is born with knowledge of how to do other races hair. You practice until you get good. This video could be reversed and the same rules would apply
These comments are so bitter...Like we really have people out here saying shit like "WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?! WHITE HAIR?? BLACK HAIR??? ITS ALL ONE HAIR...THE HUMAN HAIR..", no shit. The video is meant to highlight the fact that the majority of white stylist aren't taught how to style thicker, curlier hair. There's a difference between white and black curls, and cosmetology schools tend to skim over the latter.
Your wording is kind of one sided defensive, I can't really argue against it because it's enveloped in truth. So I'll just piggyback off of it. Generally speaking there are a lot of different textures and characteristics in hair. Different races have a more common type of hair, but obviously there's no absolutes in humans. Also, there is a huge difference between a hair stylist and a barber; a black barber and a non black barber; a black stylist and a non black stylist. Like in every field you're going to specialize in your intended or interested clientele's hair type. I have thin straight hair and have had my hair jacked up by the above variations, I've also had the best haircut done by some of the above variations. In conclusion, there is no thing as "just human hair".
Joe Wright I once had a white guy cut my hair. He asked if I wanted a line up at the end. I told him no and went to a different barbershop. Cause if you have to ask you probably can't do it right lol.
I'm 17 and I can do black hair and caucasian hair, I'm very good at braiding, I can do Ghana braids, box braids, dutch braids, cornrows, million/micro braids etc, I braid extremely tight too
Can’t wait for the day! Because since the beginning of time it seems like it hair stylist who happen to be white seem hesitant to touch kinky and curly hair. Or try half way through then say they can’t do it, burn/rip your hair out or go run for their other coworker whose black or latina to help them. Hair schools need to start making it an requirement to be able to do all types of hair. If not, start paying people less based on their skill set.
I think the message of this video is not ALL whites know how to deal with afro hair. We don't have natural straight hair, it's curly, and sometimes nappy. However, there are people of the Caucasian race that do know how to deal with our hair. So, saying "I wouldn't trust a white person with my hair etc etc" is very stereotypical. If they've gone to hair school, they probably would know how to do all types of hair.
Thankyou. It shouldn't be about "they can't do it". If they learn then anyone can do it. I'm a guy, I've never had long hair, But I can French braid better than most of the women in my family just from learning. I know it's not the same, But the principal is.
Kaitlyn Russell XD maybe that's why they were experimenting? Only white person j ever let do my hair was two of my white friends and never will I let another white person but them do it
But I get it because textured hair is harder to deal with. There’s things people with straight silky hair can do that people with kinky curly hair can’t or extra steps you have to take to get the result you want but this stereotype in general is ignorant
You guys relize that the whole point of their "Is It True" episodes is to ELIMINATE stereotypes, not fuel them. This one was a little over the top but I'm black and I kind of understand. Y'all need to chill and that's on periodt
Exactly people are taking it a little too seriously in here ...they really miss the point.... it also was really funny and that's comedy. People are really taking the funny out of comedy and it's getting so sad you can't even say anything anymore.
+Ogre Doug Lol you can't flat iron black hair without drying it. That's common sense... She was saying that she was known for doing black hair but she didn't even know that? Like seriously lol she's a joke.
Ari B It doesn't say anything about the hairdresser being known for doing black hair. You can't flat iron white people hair either or anyone hair for that matter without drying it first. She worded it to make the person look bad but it was just a simple question, not sure why you felt the need to explain the known as if it were unknown.
I’m at least glad to know there are some white stylist that exist that care about learning how to do textured /thick hair especially for the black community and honestly I see why the judges were skeptical of a white stylist doing a good job on a black woman’s hair because most white stylists don’t even try to learn how to do it so this makes me happy .
@ericabertagnoli why because of the pressure? If *you're* a stylist, it would be your job to know about ALL types of hair. If it would really be your passion. You can't just tie one shoe and leave the other untied because of laziness.
KD Sav lmao every damn time I get my hair done by my mom or grandma I practically scream "I would like it STRAIGHT PLEASE!" and every damn time I see that pressing iron slowly going down my hair it does that little loop at the end, like I really didn't just see or feel that shit
Anyone needs practice. Ofc MOST black people will have more practice but I mean if a white person is in an environment where they can practice and are around black people of course they can get really good at it. But the average white girl on the streets isn't gonna know how lol. I don't for sure I can't even do my own hair
I don't understand why people are so offended, what did you think was going to happen when you clicked on a video called White people can't do Black hair?
Seriously this guy just said he could with pride. Then people "your not special" so? Take pride in your own shit be positive " me too!" ... Whoever said dout it is just ignorant at this point.
I mean I'm black and personally wouldn't want anyone else of another race to do my hair if they didn't know how. I've only ever gotten my hair done by black stylists. But I just wouldn't feel comfortable with someone who doesn't understand my hair or have natural hair doing my hair. It's not even based on hate and I ain't even being stereotypical because I wouldn't say like "if you're not black you can't do black hair," but me personally wouldn't want someone of another race to do my black hair. Not because I don't think they can but I just wouldn't feel comfortable and all I've known is black stylist doing my hair. period
All these people below being offended by the smallest of things "white people can't do black people hair." Damn son, you guys are hearing impaired. They never stated that "white people can't do black people hair," at all. If you actually watch the video they did say that they believe that white people can do black people hair and they can learn how to. And if you watch at the end, a white person did all the "contestants" (I guess you can say) It turned out good and they were impressed. All of those who are offended probably never came close to a black person's hair. The majority, (I know there's some people who have naturally straight hair) of them have super course, thick and curly hair. That hair type is completely different to a white person's hair. Yes, there are white people with curly hair but that hair type is still different from black people hair. And the reason why they made this video is because sometimes white hairdressers are ignorant to black people hair and don't know how to work their way around it and they don't know that treating black people hair is different than white people hair.
kathryne wright It would be fine if they joked without the blackface. I don't know if you know this but blackface is a historical thing. Back when black people jazz and blues were getting big in America and during the times when black people had no rights at all, white people didn't really like black produced music because you know, they're black so they would do their own style of jazz and blues and perform with black paint on their face having intention of "being black" but just for entertainment. Blacks found that offensive Just think how blackface used back then was a way to mock the blacks and is still used today in a way to mock them .
Shinji's Dad Man,I have been more than close to a black person's hair my upstairs neighbors are black and they treat my like one of them even though I am half Albanian and half Caucasian and they do my hair.
Everyone is saying " I'm seeing those white people in the comments getting mad" but I looked through the comments and I'm seeing none of those comments... update: omg so many likes💕
Elle Harris Some weird people feel a need for a pat on the back for speaking out against certain comments. So they make up an invisible cause to speak out against. Lol! I see this A LOT in video comments. Your not crazy, the comments aren't really there, just in their minds. UNLESS there's a lot of those comments WAY further down the timeline and people's liked comments are being bumped up the list so that they are the first ones you get to see. So you'd have to scroll WAY DOWN past all the liked comments to see the other ones.
Oml I watch this video almost every month or so 😂 “I wouldn’t let a white person do my hair if I had something important to do like... live my life...”
+Sophia Weiss I'd say it depends on the person...but I only let people with curly hair style my hair. (regardless of race) I'm white, but most other white people don't do my hair very well...they just don't know how to handle curls. The frizz is a real problem with some of the styles I've had over the years....and I don't even want to talk about the absolutely TERRIBLE haircuts....x.x I do find that the few black women who've done my hair over the years usually do a good job though.

That most white don't want to learn... 🙄
Olivia H. nah it's just expensive for extra schooling and all the stereotypes gets to us LMFAOOO like all through out the video they say how they wouldn't let a white person do their hair and how white people cant do hair. idk it's just like why learn if you're just gonna get shit on for it ya know
It's, different styles, whites have corse hair has well, it should've been texture, not race's! Underlined programming😕👂😏💅
anyone can do any hair it just takes time and practice
Melodi Singleton it’s just that black hair has a very different texture that most white people arent familiar with. but if they really work hard at it they probably could 😂😂
My dad is black and my mom white and I got the black hair from my dad and my mom is white and she is not gentle at all, she does my hair and braids tho and it's good af
Melodi Singleton if your mom is white your hair is probably curly and soft AF compared to most black hair
Nah
Dermott Sawyer yes my mom is white and my dad is black and I have soft curly hair
I feel like if your a good hair stylist, you can do any type of hair fuck the color
Pork Chop Extra Gravy true
Pork Chop Extra Gravy not neccesarly. some amazing white hair stylist can't even began to touch a black persons hair because is completely different in texture, procedure, combs, and products. same goes to black hairstylist not being able to do white ppl hair. I think you have to be a truly amazing and diverse hairstylist to do any hair.
Pork Chop Extra Gravy They don't teach people how to do black hair in hair school, so very few white people can. Even some black people can't.
Evan Arnault not true. I've seen many UA-cam videos of black hair salons korea where the ajummas slay the black hair. Plus when I was little I had a Chinese babysitter who used to braid the shit out of my hair
you mean hair type
As a black woman I found them hilarious.
And that white girl slayyeeeddd
Here's the thing. Black people aren't born knowing how to do their hair and white people aren't born knowing how to do their own hair either. As you grow up you become familiar with it and learn what works for you. A hairdresser generally specializes in a certain type of hair, though they can generally do all types. So a white person can do black hair if they get enough practice however a black person would likely be better since they have more experience personally and vice versa.
Shannon Burrows you are the goat
how would u know that?
Shannon Burrows well yeah no dip
Say no more . Could’ve said it better 😂
and also, White people have a different texture
Doesn’t matter what color you are, just as long as you are trained to do it.
Addie Marie exactly, but many non black hair stylists aren't taught how to do kinky hair. THIS is the problem
Just a UA-camr that is what I meant in my comment. If they are trained then they would know how to style kinky hair. Mostly if you are going to work with that type of hair, then that is your main hair to work with.
Addie Marie yes, but I also think that hairdressers should be taught about all hair types, rather than leaving out a chunk of people.
Addie Marie Exactly said
THANK YOU
I got my hair done from a white girl from a salon I went toward the black girl but she pointed at the white girl because she was cutting some man hair like she was going to be busy for hours I was upset but sucked it up smiled my way to the white girl l.i have thick hair and shoulder length so I was thinking if she mess my hair up I'm taking flight over to the black girl that sent me too the white girl I almost felt sorry for the black girl she over there cutting hair ke keing and don't know she's 1 hour away from getting body slammed.but when the white girl was finished my hair was shining bone straight with a cute cute.so YES WHITE PEOPLE CAN DO BLACK HAIR.
Seriously??..I've been doing black hair for years & make serious bank doin it..unless I put in a white chicks extensions I don't make half the money I do w/ putting in some micro braids or even doing a full blow out & press....color doesn't have shit to do w/it.
Kimberly Gray Not all black ppl have the same hair so...
Army Is Everywhere, Including here!!! :D
Oh my god just stop with that. It's not a skin color thing, it's a hair texture thing. I know white people with curls that have little trust in most stylists. Dealing with curls takes a lot of skill that honestly many stylists don't have.
Army Is Everywhere, Including here!!! :D ikr
Kimberly Gray that is what I said in my comment
They make black people seem mad negative like ew I didn’t like that.
It's all jokes. I think you guys are taking everything too too serious.
HELL0NESSA no you can see how judgefull they are
Aneya Smith they didn’t make them seem anything baby, those were THEIR reactions. They were being almost ignorant even and negative, I didn’t like that either. that was on them no one else. And this is coming from a black woman.
I see your perspectives but that was my intake from it all
When I was bout 25 this white girl name peaches use to braid my hair bout every other weekend. And it looked good and she was only 13 but she did grow up round black ppl.
Ashley Mitchell that probably where the name peaches came from😂
Ashley Mitchell Don’t have to be black to be good at hair
Ashley Mitchell im the palest bitch I know- but in highschool all the girls were black braiding hair waiting fpr homeroom. So I learned from the best.
peaches lmaoo
Ashley Mitchell of course her name had to be peaches 😂, this is another eminem story lol
so i am mixed and momma is white but she can do anything with my hair from box braids to anything i live my momma
? How u keep confidance around judgmentle people i mix to with spanish indian an etc
My hair. Curly i have find play around an try get straight soft hair turns too fluff
dice dragon i have that problem to like put gels in my hair it just dosent work nothing can calm these curls so you just have to embrace them and wear them even though it take self cofidence but it nice after it happens
dice dragon i don’t wear it to school i just wear it outside of school and i get so many compliments because there is so many black or mix girls who do like there natural hair and i brave these day they try to get that straight hair to fit in but your natural hair is equally beautiful
Julia Stylinson I know, right? The people who did this video are so dumb
Julia Stylinson this black person agrees.
Yea this video is racist. Fuck this shit
Julia Stylinson AAAAA Wrong
Also i feel like we overhype how hard our hair is to do .
Nina Adams right?! I’m half white and half Peruvian. Grew up in the hood of Richmond CA. I learned how to braid, extensions, dread & hot oil treatments. 💕 Love learning how to do different hair types other than my own.
Same but my hair is very thick and is very hard to do and I don’t overhype when I say my hair is crazy insane
Sahraiya Taylor mine too but it’s not like impossible if you can do hair you do black hair
Well some a lot do but when i say i have to wake up at 5:30 and need atleast an hour to do my hair for school at 7 i mean it bc ill have something in mind then ill have to change it vc i had to prepare the night before. Then my arms get tired and then i end up just doing a bun bc im lazy and ran out of time
Lia Holm i feeel it but i feel if you actually know how to do hair it is different.
Chloe Miranda we
Most people aren't trained to do all types which is why Black Hairstyling developed the way it has.
"I'ma go with the black person I hope it is or I'm losing my blackness"😂😂

Learn proper english you sound uneducated
josh Brz You probably text people and use “bc” for because or “smh” so don’t tell me about me being UNEDUCATED. I’m educated enough to know how to speak. “Yo” is slang just like any other shortening of words so you can hush now.
They act like it's the craziest thing in the world haha. Anyone can style any type of hair if they practice enough
Skippinpebbles • If youre white you obviously dont know how how our hair works
Sims TV just as if you’re black you don’t know how our hair works. Anyone can learn though, the video obviously proves that haha
Skippinpebbles • Its easys to wet hair comb it out then blowdry. Its not easy to learn the right products use the right amount and have enough combs.
It's not about your colour . It's about how good your at doing these hair styles .
ERO. .MINZY color has to do with a little bit of it, they usually wear different hair styles and have different back grounds so different experience and new techniques
Exactly! You just need the skills to pay the bills(lol)
literally in the beginning, they say “STEREOTYPES “ so everyone shaddup and enjoy the video

I am black and find this video offensive, black people it has nothing to do with the hair it's just that throughout the whole video the black people were making insults about white people calling them names but if it was flipped yes every black person would have scream out racism if white people were to insult black people the same way they did in this video it would have been a different conversation.
leak media roblox so you need to be a certain race now to express your opinions on parts today’s society? yeah ok
thank you
Thank u. I was thinking this but was like idk maybe not. But yeah, lots of stereotypes in this video.
@@KunstroPg Malia doesn't have to be sleeping with a white person. but anybody who is non-hypocritical can see that.

Some people got mad about this video but it wasn’t a bad assumption it was something that a person that isn’t black or not surrounded by would automatically know how to do.. it takes learning and the amazing ones with God given talent💜💜💜
All in all we need to knock down and get rid of ALL stereotypes
Mrs. Jones Camillia Jones, I agree with you 💯
Well said.
@Cracka Killer Your attitude weird af.
@@onyeenoma No he's literally going through the comments and targeting mixed and white people.
Just cause you don't know how to braid as black person, does not mean when you learn how to braid it's not better than white or anyone else. Black do hair better period. I could tell the hair was done by a white person cause it looked too bland.
"My hairline looks like I took it off and put it on a nightstand"😂😂
Lily Eason OMG I LITERALLY READ YOUR COMMENT JUST WHEN IT PLAYED ON THE VID!!
Damn. The only difference is that we have different colored skin. Its not impossible to learn how to do a differently textured type of hair. Why does everything have to be about race?
agreed
That's just how it is, get over it.

lol geez it doesn't matter what race and color of your skin you are. your skills don't depend on how you look lol.
Outrageous Kat But anybody can learn how to do anyone's hair no matter what race or skin color
what I'm saying is that anyone can learn to do anything, even if it doesn't come from their own race/culture. white people can learn to do black people's hair, and black people can learn to do white people's hair.
im talking about the skills of the hair stylist. a white stylist can learn how to do black hair, and a black stylist can learn to do white hair.
yes I know where you are coming from, but not all white hair is straight.
"see she had care.... I dont think a black girl would care like that" 💀💀
I’m 23 & went natural in highschool and it took me yearsss to master my natural hair!! It takes experience!
Speaking of hair, in comics they almost always draw Black guys bald.
Eddie Brock Or In Manga With Dreads Or Thick Hair Types
Why would white people wanna mess up their natural, smooth thing into that😂😂😂
not fair, she isn't the average white person.she is a black hair stylist.
VICTORIA Williams it was implied
VICTORIA Williams
All hair is different.

There's a difference between white and black curls, and cosmetology schools tend to skim over the latter.
doot doot all hair is not the same.
doot doot these bitches must be stupid to not know the difference between white and black hair
doot doot exactly! It's just so disappointing to always come in to a hairdressers and know they'll never make your natural curls look good 🙄😔
Your wording is kind of one sided defensive, I can't really argue against it because it's enveloped in truth.
In conclusion, there is no thing as "just human hair".

imagine a world where it would not matter about race when it comes to styling hair
Yeah in schools
wow thank you white woman, never thought about that before
Can’t wait for the day!
Jess Erin forget styling hair. Why can’t race not matter for everything
Arts.By.Jess. I wish. I wish no one would claim culture and make us make it about race.
“Does the white community know about baby hairs”
Me- (a white girl) kfhdkdod yesssss weeee dooooo
I think the message of this video is not ALL whites know how to deal with afro hair. We don't have natural straight hair, it's curly, and sometimes nappy. However, there are people of the Caucasian race that do know how to deal with our hair. So, saying "I wouldn't trust a white person with my hair etc etc" is very stereotypical. If they've gone to hair school, they probably would know how to do all types of hair.
I went to beauty school almost 20 years ago and all they really care about is sanitation laws. Live and learn and a lot of praying
Thankyou. It shouldn't be about "they can't do it". If they learn then anyone can do it. I'm a guy, I've never had long hair, But I can French braid better than most of the women in my family just from learning. I know it's not the same, But the principal is.

MegGangan its not funny when they say "oh sis why did you let becky do your hair" or other racist shit like that.
GOOD FOR HER! SHE PROVED A STEREOTYPE WRONG
yup
why you gotta cap it tho
Joseph Garcia maybe she had it on caps lock
This white lady did my hair one time and asked did I want her to dry it. 😒I scheduled for a wash and flat iron. What do you think?
Well usually when people are unsure about something they ask to confirm. Horrible customer service on her part.....foh
greenflower360 😂😂😭
She was about to turn your hair into beef jerky for the dogs .. Got damn
I have a white friend..... She hood asf & she can braid the shit out some hair!!
nymsaj😘 ”Hood asf” 😂
"hood"???? seriously?????
Kikicurls i think i kniw u from insta
@@jade2836 hmmm lemme check :)

damn all these black women were GORGEOUS ASF DAMN
Cocoa Butta Kisses weirdo
KILAZUKII ### How's he a weirdo for just complementing them?
The one with blue hair is meh
I’m at least glad to know there are some white stylist that exist that care about learning how to do textured /thick hair especially for the black community and honestly I see why the judges were skeptical of a white stylist doing a good job on a black woman’s hair because most white stylists don’t even try to learn how to do it so this makes me happy .
Thank you, you actually get what their trying to say.
@ericabertagnoli why because of the pressure? If *you're* a stylist, it would be your job to know about ALL types of hair. If it would really be your passion. You can't just tie one shoe and leave the other untied because of laziness.
yk it’s real when ya mama bump the ends when you ask for straight hair😑
KD Sav lmao every damn time I get my hair done by my mom or grandma I practically scream "I would like it STRAIGHT PLEASE!" and every damn time I see that pressing iron slowly going down my hair it does that little loop at the end, like I really didn't just see or feel that shit
KD Sav lmaoo
KD Sav LMFAOOOO I HATE THAT
FACTS SOOO RELATABLE OMG
Yesss like do you not understand the meaning of straight?!😂😂😂
Thats that sleep sleep sleep...ill be waiting there.....im holling!!! Dude so funny...
I think white people can do black hair but they’d probably need practice
Just like any hairdresser/barber lol need to practice and train first.
Acidfrogs Ik I meant like they’d have to try a lot harder because of the difference in texture🤷🏼♀️
i mean black people gotta learn from somewhere too right
Anyone needs practice. Ofc MOST black people will have more practice but I mean if a white person is in an environment where they can practice and are around black people of course they can get really good at it. But the average white girl on the streets isn't gonna know how lol. I don't for sure I can't even do my own hair
Not necessarily, because not all of us white people have thin, stringy hair.
I don't understand why people are so offended, what did you think was going to happen when you clicked on a video called White people can't do Black hair?
Kadeja Mccutchin what's the title of the video dumbass?
Kadeja Mccutchin your comments made no sense to the original comment
Crissyx at all lmaooooo
JustJack so true

When your realize you're not watching buzzfeed anymore...

“If she lives closer to me than my barber does, he’s done”😂😂
Doing someone's hair dosent come down to race..
alyssa iscool I agree
It comes down to skill with a given texture though and hair texture varies ALOT.
how many black heads have you done and where's the photo proof?
It does if they constantly turn you away from their salons "we don't do your kind of hair" 🤷
Lynette973 thats on the business and their lack of experience not the colour of their skin
I'm a white Master Barber. I know how to cut hair. All textures.
They taught me that too when i went to barber school youre not that special
I doubt it
Seriously this guy just said he could with pride. Then people "your not special" so? Take pride in your own shit be positive " me too!" ...
Whoever said dout it is just ignorant at this point.
Antoine Fuqua can I apprentice you?!
“If i don’t get this correct i swear imma lose my blackness” I’m dead 💀😂
I mean I'm black and personally wouldn't want anyone else of another race to do my hair if they didn't know how. I've only ever gotten my hair done by black stylists. But I just wouldn't feel comfortable with someone who doesn't understand my hair or have natural hair doing my hair. It's not even based on hate and I ain't even being stereotypical because I wouldn't say like "if you're not black you can't do black hair," but me personally wouldn't want someone of another race to do my black hair. Not because I don't think they can but I just wouldn't feel comfortable and all I've known is black stylist doing my hair. period
All these people below being offended by the smallest of things "white people can't do black people hair."
Damn son, you guys are hearing impaired.
Shinji's Dad EXACTLY. THANK YOOUUU
kathryne wright It would be fine if they joked without the blackface. Blacks found that offensive
Just think how blackface used back then was a way to mock the blacks and is still used today in a way to mock them .
Shinji's Dad Man,I have been more than close to a black person's hair my upstairs neighbors are black and they treat my like one of them even though I am half Albanian and half Caucasian and they do my hair.
there's a lot of history behind black face. Read up on it and you'll understand why some people would find it offensive.
Shinji's Dad I definitely agree with you. A lot of people in the comments are misinterpreting this video
And I thought my sister spent too much time adding dry conditioner to her hair..
Everyone is saying " I'm seeing those white people in the comments getting mad" but I looked through the comments and I'm seeing none of those comments...
update: omg so many likes💕
Elle Harris SAME!
Right, I had my popcorn ready and everything. Where are the professionally offended when you need them?
Girl you gotta go real deep to find them...
you obviously didn't keep scrolling
Elle Harris Some weird people feel a need for a pat on the back for speaking out against certain comments. So they make up an invisible cause to speak out against. Lol! I see this A LOT in video comments. Your not crazy, the comments aren't really there, just in their minds. UNLESS there's a lot of those comments WAY further down the timeline and people's liked comments are being bumped up the list so that they are the first ones you get to see. So you'd have to scroll WAY DOWN past all the liked comments to see the other ones.
I get my hair done by a white person all the time and they do it just as well as a black person
catryce Thornton what’s your hair texture?
I'm guessing your hair texture is like, what, 3A?
Oml I watch this video almost every month or so 😂
“I wouldn’t let a white person do my hair if I had something important to do like... live my life...”
And then she guesses wrong... lol
tobin2517 yup
alicia.sugg. xcx I only had a white person do my hair once and I took it out that day because it was so bad
alicia.sugg. xcx 😂😂
