Also the shadow of the man behind Onew is Antoine de Saint-Exupery himself (author of The Little Prince). *2)* In several cultures the fox bears a symbolic assosiation to the afterlife. In Celtic folklore, in particular: "The ancient Celts considered the Fox an expert on the layout of the forest and held this particular animal in high esteem for it’s wisdom. They also relied upon the Fox with his intuitive sense of direction to be their guide on the path to the spirit world" I don't think the "spirit world" part needs explaining I just want to point out that we did see the boys run through a forest. *3)* There is an empty chair in the beginning, on their right and it appears as if they are expecting a 5th person to fill it. Also at the part where they are at the well, there are 5 trees behind them and there is also a 5th person as a shadow inside it. Even tough we can only see four, the members of SHINee are always 5. The point when they are looking inside the well itself is also a scene from "The Little Prince" book illustrations. *4)* The pearl aqua blue lighting throughout the MV and the pearl aqua "stage" they dance on is a tribute to their fandom, SHAWOL (pearl aqua blue is the fandom's official color). It alludes to the fact that the fandom is always there to illuminate them (SHINee means "the one who receives the light", the fandom provides said light) and support them (stage). *5)* A lot of fans have been saying that the MV alludes to the stages of grief: i) Denial & Isolation - at several points of the MV ii) Anger - Key smashing the piano iii) Bargaining - The lyrics iv) Depression - again, at several points of the MV, esp the part where they appear to be drowning. v) Acceptance - The dance. The choreographer is world-renowned Japanese choreographer, Koharu Sugawara, who is known for her interpretive dance style. At first, their moves are too slow- they are almost idle. I still cry too when I think about him now and then. Honestly, I think it's okay if you never really get over it. I think it's important to hold a place for him in your heart and never forget the wonderful things he did.

Even after all of the months that past, I still haven’t processed the fact that Jonghyun isn’t here anymore. When I first watched this video, I constantly felt like everything was just off without him in it. But SHINee’s comeback is really good overall and I’m so happy that they came back
This is such a roller coaster of emotions. The excitement, the pure happiness and then the reality hits you hard. He's not here anymore... It's like that door that you couldn't completely close that suddenly shuts on your face. I can't help imagining him dancing next to them, wondering what outfits he would've wear, what parts of the song he would've sung. This is a really torturous feeling. I started crying half thru the MV sobbing by myself. Shinee also got me into k-pop and it got me into a new world honestly. My heart breaks when I think about Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin and how big of a step they are taking right now. I loved the song. Shinee never lets me down.( I also ADORE Keys new hair. I saw SHINee back in 2010 i think and it was a joint concert that had many other artists, but im glad i saw them live, but also regretful that i wasn't able to see them in their own concert. SHINee always puts out great music at the right time for me as well. we all needed this, and im glad they decided to comeback. I don't think i'll ever get over it, but i know he wont ever be forgotten.maybe one day we won't shed tears, and just smile for SHINee, all 5 of them ^^

Man this got me crying... I miss Jonghyun too. I'm lucky that I'm one of those people that can speak freely about him without crying and with a smile on my face, but watching somebody get teary and understand the pain made me want to cry along.. as if I was crying with a friend that understood since none of my friends stan shinee.

It's been almost 6 months, yet I feel the same way too. He moved and touched the hearts of so many people. We grew up with them and bonded, it's like losing a friend that many of us never got to meet, so it can be an odd feeling. SHINee was the group that started it all for me, I hope the best for them and for the rest of the celebrities who may feel the same way he did.

Great video. Thank you for showing that vulnerability. When I found kpop 6 yrs ago it helped me get through some very dark and trying times as well. Shinee was one of the first groups I found and Jonghyun will always be one of my top top top favorite vocalist. Tbh I can honestly say he is my favorite. He will forever be missed.

I interpret the meaning of the beginning with the empty chair as a nod to him. There are four chairs because there are four members dancing but the shadow and the empty chair with Minho standing in the middle meaning there are five members. There are nods to him throughout, the shadow, chair, keys hair, the little prince concept. It's everywhere.

SHINee also got me through some hard times back when I was in high school and I discovered them when they released Sherlock! For some reason, they always had good timing with releasing music when I needed it most. This is why SHINee is and forever will be my favorite group ❤️ stay strong shawols!

I totally feel you. I can't listen to some of Jjong's songs like I used to, and specially with his latest album, I get too emotional... but oh how I love his music, he was such an amazing and gifted artist. I miss him so much v.v But I'll never forget him and I'll continue to support SHINee, it's the least I can do when they must be having the hardest time and yet decided to not give up. They really are my inspiration. I've been a fan of them for the past 9 years and it's been a true blessing growing up and see them grow too. Let's not give up on them shawols. ♡
SHINee was one of the first bands I was into when I got into kpop back when I was in middle school. Kpop was my happy bubble and listening to these songs made me feel better when I felt down. Now ten years later when Jonghyun died, it was like my happy, childhood bubble burst and it became a nightmare. Like everyone else, I was really distraught for a few months but I came to accept it for what it is and I feel like the part in the mv when all four members are dancing in the rain is symbolic of how they are accepting it as well. you know the last chorus(?) when they drop the instrumental and everyone sings together. when song do that it always gets me in me emotions but i could REALLY feel this one deep. i really feel like they doin this all with jjong in mind and it gives me comfort somehow

I started crying half thru the MV sobbing by myself. Shinee also got me into k-pop and it got me into a new world honestly. My heart breaks when I think about Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin and how big of a step they are taking right now. I loved the song. Shinee never lets me down.( I also ADORE Keys new hair. I saw SHINee back in 2010 i think and it was a joint concert that had many other artists, but im glad i saw them live, but also regretful that i wasn't able to see them in their own concert. SHINee always puts out great music at the right time for me as well. we all needed this, and im glad they decided to comeback. I don't think i'll ever get over it, but i know he wont ever be forgotten.maybe one day we won't shed tears, and just smile for SHINee, all 5 of them ^^

It's been almost 6 months, yet I feel the same way too. He moved and touched the hearts of so many people. We grew up with them and bonded, it's like losing a friend that many of us never got to meet, so it can be an odd feeling. SHINee was the group that started it all for me, I hope the best for them and for the rest of the celebrities who may feel the same way he did.

Shinee was one of the first groups I found and Jonghyun will always be one of my top top top favorite vocalist. Tbh I can honestly say he is my favorite. He will forever be missed.

I interpret the meaning of the beginning with the empty chair as a nod to him. There are four chairs because there are four members dancing but the shadow and the empty chair with Minho standing in the middle meaning there are five members. There are nods to him throughout, the shadow, chair, keys hair, the little prince concept. It's everywhere.
this song was everything! these guys were the reason i got into KPOP and i'm sure there are a lot of people around the world who have the same thought about them.

I totally feel you. I can't listen to some of Jjong's songs like I used to, and specially with his latest album, I get too emotional... but oh how I love his music, he was such an amazing and gifted artist. I miss him so much v.v
But I'll never forget him and I'll continue to support SHINee, it's the least I can do when they must be having the hardest time and yet decided to not give up. They really are my inspiration. SHINee was one of the first bands I was into when I got into kpop back when I was in middle school. Kpop was my happy bubble and listening to these songs made me feel better when I felt down. Now ten years later when Jonghyun died, it was like my happy, childhood bubble burst and it became a nightmare. Like everyone else, I was really distraught for a few months but I came to accept it for what it is and I feel like the part in the mv when all four members are dancing in the rain is symbolic of how they are accepting it as well. SHINee will always be five in spirit
