I kinda miss the og shop,it was small but it was fresh and exciting ,nowadays I see things in the shop for a whole month or that rotates out for a week

I think this is just personal opinion, but I honestly don't know what was wrong with the previous ui that made them change that out. It was nice, clean, and polished easy to understand and visualize. They then took that away with the current ui where there is just too much to look at in too many different places in the locker, they also got rid of some quality of life features that were widely accepted since their inception like THE BACK TO TOP BUTTON (seriously, why did they get rid of that along with the ability to just hold a direction down in the locker)
I just have some pent up aggression towards the ui because it seemed like we took a few steps backwards instead of improving

I agree. The user interface is an integral part of any game or application. The previous UI just worked... this one just seems like SO MUCH.
My main problem is the Roblox lobby screen the rest is alright but could be better
My biggest problem is that when switching presets, lobby stuff and emotes and stuff are seperate, like why can’t I change everything at once. Back to top button as well please 🙏 fortnite kind of took the L on the whole ui overhaul

I will stand by this always, epic doesn’t need to change the UI for the menu in the game they just need to focus on updating gameplay instead of worrying about a UI that barely affects anything in gameplay

They need to bring back old skins that haven't been in the shop for years now.
I bet the real reason they did this is because they wanted to quickly get something out for the winter break and forgot to make sure to set up a few things.

They should make it so that lego has its own shop with all the lego supported skins, rocket racing with all the cars, fortnite festival with the weeknd and jam tracks, and then br with all the br supported items
It would be nice to have that separation as tabs in the top of the shop like STW does
This season truly feels like they are coasting and not caring at all, like they feel they 2big to fail. Hope not but clearly there's to many hiccups this season for them to say it's all an accident or that it comes with every season because it really never has before.

Yeah, personally I was really disappointed to not see Leelah (I think from the Best Friends Bundle...?) come back with her new festive style for Christmas. Otherwise yeah we've been seeing the same couple skins for a minute.
Same. She used to be in the shop every 30 days or so until September (I'm not counting when she showed up during Fortnite OG since you could only get her if you bought the 2200 vbucks Bundle). I thought she was gonna be in the shop soon since she got a new Christmas style, but then I realized she doesn't have a proper Lego variant yet and every skin that's not a Collab has to have a high detailed Lego variant to show up in the shop now.
I was wondering when that skin was gonna come back cuz I saw her festive npc LOL
Leelah is in the shop today, finally! She got her updated lego version last week.

Frankly, I have hated every single recent UI change they have made recently, so I 100% agree with you! The weird Netflix mode browser thing that prioritizes skibidi toilet 1v1 over actual Epic made game modes, the weird complex item shop that switches around every 5 minutes, and worst of all the locker that barely communicates what anything actually is. I do not know how a majority of these got past QA testing!
Epic category is always at the top for me, idk what you're on about for that part in particular but the C5 UI needs a loot of work to be as good as they're imagining

I’ve been waiting for core knight talus to return. It has a fully fledged really good looking Lego skin, but instead they’re bringing back the same stuff every time.
There used to be a feather in the shop where you could equip the skins in the shop if you own them but with this new look they took it out and its so annoying

When you lose continuity you lose customers. The bad shop is just an example of the bad UI. The sorting is broken. It all needs major work. Probably all the people epic fired used to do it.

They should just make the shop have (almost) every cosmetic so people can just get what they want and just not destroy their bank account. They could still keep like the battle passes and Fortnite crew but just allow people to get what they want
i do agree, but there is one problem and that's that people are gonna get mad about some cosmetics like rare ones and also it would take so long just to scroll down to a certain cosmetic that you want to purchase

Well epic doesn’t do that so people aren’t notified ahead of time so they won’t be able to save up in advance that’s why epic doesn’t tell you a release date for old cosmetics and if they add whatever we want no one will be interested in the shop again people only like it because epic hasn’t brought anything out and those people can’t wait to get that one cosmetic they want so you see epic has a reason yea I completely agree 100 percent with you why not just add whatever we want but epic doesn’t want to make the shops have meaning anymore unfortunately

The shop sorting will change depending on the mode too. when you select The Festival Mode, for example, all of the "Gear for Festival" items will be on the top (or at least towards the top). Same with Rocket Racing; you'll see the cars more towards the top instead. You can also notice your locker will default to the instruments, or car customization, depending on the mode you select.
It's incredible how nothing has changed months later. Lego killed fortnite
Its also annoying that battle pass collaboration skins dont get lego styles

They change it often to make the new chapter feel fresh. I loved the chapter 2 menus and was also devastated when they changed it
Honestly the only good cosmetic that came back was John wick this month and the TMNTs but please do tell me how the fuck do you wake up and not update ANYTHING for such a yearly anticipated event and manage to screw up so badly. There are items who are amazing but get discredited due to epic wanting to promote they’re collaboration with LEGO variant skins is depressing.
the UI itself isnt too bad since its fairly new and can be polished despite that scrolling problem and the placements i dont like. the thing that needs to be addressed is the cosmetic rotations. i think theres over 1500 skins that arent battlepass or limited time starter packs and hundreds upon hundreds of emotes plus the other separate items like back blings and pickaxes and yet theres hardly any variety in the daily rotations. on top of that these guys will hold out on the good items that people want to see in the shop lol i dont know if they use some algorithm for those rotation items and if they do, they need to work on that lol i do agree with some of the people that the cosmetics for the other modes should be separated to keep it a bit simplified
Why is nobody talking about we used to have a locker with my wraps and emotes attached to that 1 skin preset. Now I have to load a skin and then a different preset with all the wraps for that skin ? And I first have to make wrap presets for all my skins again. Plus I could just put shuffle on in that locker with prepared skins so it loaded a different skin with everything attached to that skin every new game I went in.. WHY IS NOBODY PROTESTING ?????😂 I don't want random now. A transformer with a pink umbrella pickaxe and a cartoon glider just ain't it.😂😂😂

It’s nice to see someone actually complain about this because I’ve only seen people complain about the shop ui but honestly this is a really big problem like very popular 30 day rotation skins like guff aren’t being brought back because he doesn’t have a finished Lego version and it seems the skins that got Lego versions were pretty much chosen by random which makes it very unfair like the alpines and moguls probably aren’t gonna come back because they don’t have Lego versions
The only older skins i still want are Hemlock (Which was not even released this Halloween) and the Street fighter skins. i already have everything else i want and i'm just waiting for the new skins which don't seem to be coming either at this point. so i hardly pay attention anymore

I'm waiting for curtain cosmetics and they won't bring them because of the skins in the shop sowing up after 12 days it's really annoying last season has probably screwed something up in epics mind, In season OG the item shop was like the ch 1 shops until half way through then this season they fixed that problem so its similar to deliver the bomb on stw every time they fix a glitch to do with the shop a new one appears.
Bro why are the shops so bad they’ve been the same set of skins for the last month same recycled skin again and again and again and no one wears 99% of these colabs like they brought Rick and Morty back for like 6 out of 10 days for no apparent reason

What annoys me is the fact they have made new winterfest skins that haven't released at all
Something else I hate about the shop is that they’re overhyping and promoting the new modes too much. Before, there would be different game modes (yes they were limited time but still) and all they got was a place in the news tab, now they’re doing too much and adding way overpriced cosmetics like music packs, which have emotes that’re exactly the same for each one but with different songs, for 500 vbucks, the instruments are just way too overpriced, and how come TMNT gets instruments? It’s about mutated turtles, not an advertisement for rock band, then the cars, 4000 for one car? Then Lego is the most annoying imo, it’s just a massive advertisement. I like the Lego mode and it’s sometimes even getting more players than br, but after a while it’ll die and people will get bored of it. Everywhere you go, you see Lego, for a gamemode that’s nothing to do with what fortnite is. New teaser image for a skin? There’s a massive Lego minifigure blocking the image to advertise it. Looking at the item shop? Everything turns into a minifigure every 2 seconds. The game is just a massive advertisement at this point
I'm still waiting for Leelah. She got a new style in December (two months ago) but hasn't showed up in the shop.
Update: Leelah is in the shop today, three months after getting a new christmas style.
Also, the Shop resorting it self is a setting you can turn on or off btw
I feel ya! Been sick for like 2 weeks. Buy yeah, spot on! The UI for the locker and shop have been so annoying! The shop is so disorganized! Everything changes spots Everytime you go back into it! They need yo organize it with new and featured stuff at the top, the special offers at the bottom, and all the other stuff according to their respective tab menus! At the moment, those tabs just don't work, make the screen scroll to much, and there's no reason to use them since things are all over the place! Hope they fix up that and the locker. 😅😮💨
Even if they have to ceperate shops so br can keep it daily rotation then so be it as long as where getting fresh shops every 1-2 days
I think they are prioritizing battle pass skins because most of the finished skins are from previous battle passes
You complained mainly about the Christmas skins... they would return a couple times during December and we won't see them again for a year.

I was excited when I realized all that was coming with the “New Fortnite”. But I’ve slowly realized just like FireMonkey is saying everything is being oriented towards all the other “Extra” game modes and the Fortnite stuff is being pushed to the back. I mean they even modded the amount of XP you get from fortnite because you get XP from the other modes making you play the other modes to get the XP. I didn’t ask for all this and it feels like the mode I wanna play I’m being punished for playing them.
I'm not sure how much XP you get from playing Festival, but the quests definitely don't give ya anything, only music notes for the silly festival pass, and I imagine Rocket Racing will work the same way once season 1 rolls around for that game... The RR ranked quest XP is honestly crazy though

They are just doing this so if u only play or mainly play Lego Fortnite u also have a variety of options. Just wait a bit for them to translate more skins to Lego then there will be more variety

On the 12 day of Christmas the item shop gave to me the same exact thing!!!!!!
A theory but maybe it’s just because the winter skins they want us to buy them now while it’s still kinda the season after that not much will want them or they might not bring them back till then . I think that’s why they haven’t been bringing back fire skins in there non collab section .
Today's item shop has only "10 different than yesterday" items. That's ridiculous.
From what I can tell, the only Fortnite Orginal out of the TMNT collab is the April O'Neil, it seems to be a fortnite original verson when compared to every other verison of April O'Neil
lego mode ruined the item shop, the other modes are fine if they’re put at last BUT DUE TO THE LEGO MODE WE ARE GETTING THE SAME STUFF-

Agreed, it has been disappointing lately. The shop is all jumbled up, and some of the skins have been missing for me, so I have to look it up on sites to make sure I am not missing stuff in the shop. I haven't been spending any vbucks because of how boring it is. They have such a good catalog of skins to put in the shop, but instead they give us the same skins over and over again and I am tired of it.
Blame their shop designers they probably got fired the rest of the team doesn’t care
I feel that title, man. That's me with the Raiden skin. I missed it by a few days. Now I have to wait for it to rotate back into the shop. Same with any other skins I want.

I wish they brought daily back and they just had like 6 things that rotated and not monthly. 6months at shortest. Makes logging on more rewarding, it’s so no brainer. And if there’s a major f up and something epic pops up that shouldn’t it would be break x and cause a spike. Come on epic

The old days of FOMO and skin rarity are completely thrown out the window when a returning skin is in the shop for more than one day lol. Like im pissed i missed the Lovely skin for February, but based on its release history, it's almost guaranteed that it'll come back next February.
Also i hate how clunky it feels navigating through the tabs.
