- Today, we commemorate the final flight of Concorde, an aircraft that redefined commercial flight.
Concorde had its last commercial flight on October 24, 2003, and officially entered retirement on November 26, 2003, upon its arrival to Filton, Bristol, UK.
Check out this classic footage from 1985 when Concorde made its first visit to Oshkosh.

50 years on and still not beaten. Simply beautiful.
I love Concorde!
The pinnacle of civilian aviation so far, maybe ever....
Next up to the stage, Hermeus.
Concorde at Oskosh just blows my mind, these folks didn't know how good they had it. It's like Enzo Ferrari rocks up at your local saturday evening car-meet in a prototype F40.
Ok I know EAA is a little bigger than a local car-meet, but it still has that small-scale grassroots "just bring whatever because everybody here simply loves cars/planes" feeling you know?
I was at Air Venture that year, and saw the Concord air display the last Sunday of the gathering. IMPRESSIVE!
I was 5 years old attending my first EAA ever. I still think the Air Museum deserves a concorde parked outside.
And its weird to see the runway so short back then
I was There!
That touch-and-go was something. I don't know, but I'm pretty sure no other aircraft could--or can--perform like that! Truly incredible. I wish it still flew.
Highest power to weight ratio of any civilian aircraft! Ex pilots say lightweight (no passengers/low fuel) takeoff performance similar to military jets.
Engineering art. Another British masterpiece. With all due respect, the only US design that would have graced the skies in the same manner would have been the XB70 Valkyrie.
the music is kickin!
Wow man, Knight Rider and Hart to Hart were still on TV then. Great time to be alive. Eat shit new gen
Was there multiple years the concord came? I thought I remembered you could buy tickets and they would fly to to Canada border so you could go super sonic?
If i recall correctly from my childhood, they flew to Toronto over the great lakes just so they could achieve the 20 minutes of supersonic speed
Concorde definitely visited Oshkosh more than once. Someone told me that she went every year following her first visit, but not sure if that's accurate. I have seen vids of her at Oshkosh in later years so at least more than once.
I doubt there is a plane that surpasses the Concorde
Doubt confirmed - there is not!!!!!
I wonder if they will ever build new concords and I think that it should be done
747 music
turn OFF the music,...
I think it’s a jam 🤷♂️
80s porn music 😂😂😂
That was a waste of a lot of plain just to haul 100 passengers ... I wonder if this is one of the plains that crashed there wasn't many built 😞😞
It made a profit and we would still fly on it if it was around today.
No, this was a BA concorde. The only concorde to crash was Air France.
