Excellent film, demonstrating the different things men did to build and maintain the functionality of our modern world. I'm forever grateful! And those gorgeous old cars. I'll take one -- any one.

Beaut film, thank you. I was 6yo when this film was made in '66. What a momentous year that was; Mr. Menzies retired, out went the pounds, shillings & pence, in came the dollars and the cents, & everyone was singing 'The Sound of Music'. Ah, such halcyon days! There were no Japanese cars on the roads then, & the trucks were mostly British - Bedfords & Commers - red, it seems, being the predominant colour. And of course, the ubiquitous VW Beetle, although most of the cars were Holdens or Fords.

Amazing, still the same asphalt on some of those roads today. Back when only a little public money, not all of it like today, was siphoned away from infrastructure budgets. Nowadays, it all goes into some council members and their contractor mates pocket.

At 1:03 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood, from the railway station looking east.
At 1:21 A BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) DC10 aircraft. BOAC would merge with BEA to become British Airways in 1974.
At 1:31 Darling Harbour Goods Yard with the old Government Printing Office at Pyrmont (blue glass) in the background.
At 2:08 a coal truck leaving the Blackwattle Bay wharfs onto Bridge Road, Wentworth Park in the distance.
At 3:02 a 1953 Dennis F1 pumper and a 1929 Dennis ladders leaving No. 4 Fire Station Darlinghurst (Kings Cross) and then travelling south along Victoria Street.
At 7:09 an ambulance coming down Fullers Road and then on to Lady Game Drive, Chatswood West. Fullers Bridge, over the Lane Cove River, can be seen in a later scene in the background when the ambulance door is shut. The car is an Austin A50.
At 7:57 is the first iPad.
At 8:25 is Park Street between the Hyde Park(s) looking east from the old T&G Building, corner Park and Elizabeth Streets.
At 10:52 is the Pacific Highway, North Sydney, with some construction clearing on the right for the future Warringah Expressway. The high-level traffic is using the former tramway and tram bridge (originally intended for a Northern Beaches Railway via North Sydney).
At 11:00 is the site cleared for Goldfields House at Circular Quay, which set a new low for cheap and nasty abominations, and still stands!!!
At 11:10 appears to be demolition associated with the Warringah Freeway at North Sydney, with a pylon of the Harbour Bridge and the Greenway Building (public housing at Kirribilli) in the distance.
    At 12:17 Bondi Beach.
At 12:19 William Street looking east, with no traffic lights!!!
At 12:27 the City approach to the Pyrmont Bridge, then the main route west apart from Parramatta Road, the four stacks of the Pyrmont Power Station in the distance.
