The sketch also parodies the show's format and infamous musical sting. As they investigate, they find things that start with the letter "M", including a cow named Murray (Steffan) that makes moo sounds, and a mallard (Jacob). At one point, Captain Cragen was asleep at his desk, and Munch and Meloni didn't want to wake him, so Olivia Benson calls out, "Can you do that Chung Chung thing again?" to wake him.
