One of the most critically acclaimed but commercially underrated and unbelievably talented bands of the 21st century. Dual lead guitars, powerhouse drumming and Anthony' s insane vocal range. They dont come around everyday. Not even every year.
I am a 44 year old woman and I hope kids do not think I am weirdo or someone trying to hang onto my youth but I so love this group and it took my 16 year old son to introduce me to this band and too many others to list.So if you go to a Sleeping with Sirens, Circa Survive, I See Stars or as i said before too many to list and see the old woman dancing her ass off it might just be me, so don't make to much fun of me I just really love good music and I'm so happy to see bands like this :)
Hi Jules. I was a 44 year old man at the time of your writing the comment. I think this band is amazing regardless of how old you are. Anthony's vocal range and the dual lead guitars are incredible!
I introduced my dad to this band over 14 years ago, I am 35 now and he's 64. We just listened to a few songs a couple weeks ago during the holidays. Hope you're doing well and still enjoying music.
This song hits hard for me cause the lyrics are spot on with a particular person in my life. Idk what Anthony is singing about when it comes to himself, but that's what's cool about relatable music. It can fit the spot in your life that applies and can give you an outlet. I've played drums along to this song a few times and it was total emotional release. Which, releasing my feelings is very hard for me to do. But circa has allowed an outlet on some occasions and they'll forever be one those special bands for me.
Blue Sky Noise came out just a couple weeks after a particularly harsh breakup and carried me through the resulting depression in good ways and bad. Saw it through to the meeting of my wife almost exactly a year later. Still carry a lot of depression from that short but very dark period of my life and this song in particular has a way of rubbing on those old old wounds but damn it makes me feel alive and appreciative of what I have now. Definitely appreciate this version of the song and the new meaning it has for me these days. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
It's because he puts everything he has into his vocals. Same reason he death grips that mic stand... Truely an amazing vocalist and lyricist. From the start Circa's always been a group to make you feel something.
This is so true. I was just talking to my friend the other day about Circa, and I realized that there's not really a day where I don't listen to at least one of their songs. Haha. They just never get old.
i would love to play a song with anthony green. he makes even the simplist of songs amazing. and he is one of those singers that has emotion in everything he sings. amazing band and an amazing vocalist.
I liked this band for years, I never really listened to them much, but for all this time I always thought the lead vocals were being sung by a female, so I always heard the music thinking it was a from a female prospective, I'm having a real life "Crying Game" moment going on here!
This song and Dyed In Wool are my favorite songs on this album. Really amazing album period and one thing about Circa is that i can listen to them whenever haha some bands you just have to be in the mood for!
Such a brilliant song especially for live! and did anyone else noticed the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphones worn by Anthony Green and the bassist?! Such nice headphones. Worn by the most talented.
@mikeshinoda @LinkinPark If there is another benefit concert or anniversary tour in the future, Anthony Green should be considered, first for a jam session and see how it goes. He has splendid vocal technique, vocal range, a very particular voice, incredible talent, stage presence and charisma.
or saosin, high and driving, his solo albums, commander in grief, audience of one, jeer at Rome, reel big fish, Zolaf the Rock and Roll Destroyer, this guy has been in like 12 bands..
Yessir, you are correct. It's okay people!! Geez. last time I checked, Circa Survive was comprised of humans playing live music together. If you want perfection you can watch a pop group that plays to backing tracks. One little missed beat isn't the end of the world.
Nothing new to say Nothing to report ‘cause the future happened yesterday If I could tell the truth I could make you stay but forever seems so far away I fell apart in your arms for the last time And I felt free to do what I want because of the things you told me, because of the things you told me, you told me I felt free You could be the end of me Too many shades of gray It’s just another pointless game that we play I couldn’t tell the truth I’ll never make you stay because tomorrow always happens yesterday I fell apart in your arms for the last time And I felt free to do what I want because of the things you told me because of the things you told me, you told me I felt free I felt free I will learn to live again for now I’m breaking all the things I couldn't mend without escaping I will learn to love again I will learn to love I will learn
Awesome, I used to hate bands like this especially these guys in high school but now three years out I don't know why but they grew in me, I wish I could fucking hit those notes , that's a hell of a set of pipes haha
@drumwrist0123 dude, honestly, after i had broke up with my ex of 2 1/2 years, i listened to this...and for whatever reason, it totally made me feel better, i love this band
I expected something drastic, he remains completely in tempo, he just adds a kick slightly out of what he usually does, it still fits perfectly. It even leads into the next measure, creating an energy and drive through the barline, he should have done that every time hehe.

This comment is 7 years old, and I’m about a decade away from being 44. If Circa is still doing this in 10 years, that’ll be me.

That mic stand is going through it
This is so goddamn good. All hail Circa, Anthony Green, and Blue Sky Noise
It's remarkable how much this sounds like the recorded version. Bravo
Such an underrated album. Probably one of the best songs they have ever put out
Still my favorite recording of this song
I liked this band for years, I never really listened to them much, but for all this time I always thought the lead vocals were being sung by a female, so I always heard the music thinking it was a from a female prospective, I'm having a real life "Crying Game" moment going on here!

His vocals are ridiculous!!!! At first, I thought it was just the video over the studio recorded song. Amazing.

Nothing new to say
Nothing to report ‘cause the future happened yesterday
If I could tell the truth
I could make you stay
but forever seems so far away
I fell apart in your arms
for the last time
And I felt free to do what I want
because of the things you told me,
because of the things you told me, you told me
I felt free
You could be the end of me
Too many shades of gray
It’s just another pointless game that we play
I couldn’t tell the truth
I’ll never make you stay
because tomorrow always happens yesterday
I fell apart in your arms
for the last time
And I felt free to do what I want
because of the things you told me
because of the things you told me, you told me
I felt free
I felt free
I will learn to live again for now I’m breaking
all the things I couldn't mend without escaping
I will learn to love again
I will learn to love
I will learn
Friggen perfect, Anthony
I’m so old!!!!
Has it been 11 years

This album is so gorgeous. Like howww do you come up with this stufff!?
The bald guitarist does a lot of lsd so maybe that is why lol. The whole band did some heavy drugs back from 2005-2010
Fucking hell they're good live.
