I just bought this same bag in basalt colour. I also have the 13" M1 MacBook but the the Air version. My coat is strangely similar to yours but its a Superdry. I am a developer too, 7 years in Java with some SQL and HTML/JSP but learning React.
I prefer working from home too, it's just so much more convenient! I'm considering being fully remote, but for now I'm going to give the hybrid work week a try - two days from home and three days in the office.
@@yourfriendintech Our schedule is rotational. 1 week WFH and 1 week in the office. But I'm pretty sure, sooner or later, will work in the office 100% and that makes me sad. Tony
That's an interesting schedule! Yeah seems like a lot of companies want their employees to be back in the office asap. Have you considered switching to a company that allows fully remote?
Hi John, you have a great channel, very interesting videos. Please tell me which language is better to learn C++ or Java to become a software engineer? I really want to study a software engineer from scratch, what and in what sequence to study (roadmap for software engineer) to become a full-fledged software engineer and get a job??? I'm 35 years old, isn't it too late for me to become an employment programmer?
Hi, thank you! It is never too late to follow your passions 👍. If you are just starting to learn how to program, I would actually recommend Python as its a lot more beginner friendly. Do you have any ideas of what you want to work on?
@@yourfriendintech There are no ideas to work on, I just want to learn a quality software engineer and then get a job in the company and work on the product they will give. Jon, I just need advice from you a step-by-step plan to study the material for software engineer what to learn first and so on (roadmap software engineer)? I want to learn C++ knowing its other languages will understand faster. In your opinion, C++ is enough for a software engineer?? And what can you say about Java for software engineer?
Software engineering is such a broad field, but you can start with the basics: the fundamentals of computer science. A good example on what people study in college is is Harvard's computer science curriculum; they have it posted online and they even have free courses that you can take. C++/Java are both good to learn, they are both object object oriented programming languages.
Hey Darryl! I don't have any first hand experience with bootcamps so I may not be the best person to answer this. I've heard great things about bootcamps and I've also heard the opposite, but of course it varies depending on the bootcamp - what I recommend is you do thorough research before committing to one to make sure its legit and not predatory.
Dude do you really trust cafes to charge your laptop and stuff? Do you use their wifi too? I heard you can get viruses from doing those 2 things so I'm never using them again
I never plug my devices into unknown USB ports, but I am comfortable with using power outlets as there is no risk of data transfer there. There is a risk to using public WiFi, you can combat that by only browsing https, but using a VPN would be better. Personally I've been using my phone as a hotspot to avoid public WiFi altogether
@@yourfriendintech Now it's USB too???? I didn't know USB plugs can get you hacked. I heard about plugging into electricity and public wifi's. I saw your power bank thing but I suggest buying a solar charger it gets energy from the sun and if costs $15-30. That way no electrical is needed.
@@xLiLtEmPeR The risk is connecting your device to something that can transfer data to/from your device. There is no data transfer with my power bank so there is no risk. But if a random stranger hands you a power bank, you have no idea if it's been tampered with - so there is a risk to plugging your device into it. In general, there is no data risk when plugging your own charger into a public outlet for electricity.
@@yourfriendintech do you believe if you use a device and even though you logged out, a hacker can track down who logged into this device before? Like if your phone gets stolen or you sell a used laptop, you reset the device before hand but they are still able to hack you since you used it before?
Yeah it's great I love it!! I carry around my usb c sd card reader to transfer files, and I bought extra batteries so I don't have to worry about charging it on the go -- but the extra batteries does come with a charger that uses USB C
The totepack looks like a great bag too! It is a lot bulkier but I like the protection and organization it offers, especially now that I have a camera.
That's honestly a great question and there's no simple answer. It is something you will need to reflect on yourself. Your answer will be based on your skills, experience, current financial standing. There are so many ways that people have became millionaires. ie. Working in a high paying field, winning the lottery, crypto. Can you think of a realistic way for you to achieve this goal? What will help you in achieving this goal? What are some things that may stand in your way of reaching this goal?
Content creation has a lower bar of entry - anyone can start uploading on UA-cam. But building an audience will take time and the reality is that some content creators never see a single penny. A job in software can provide stable income, but it's a lot harder to learn.
