Keshen8 I think what made it so good was the excellent cinematography and lighting; two major factors into making a professional film. The story was great too.
Keshen what FPS do you use? And what programme do you use to make your animation become smoother and did your work similar like how mind game studios does?
I swear to god, i wish you guys could just get a gigant budget and a big crew of brickfilm animators just to make this a full on film, even if it was just 1 hour long, it would be simply amazing
Excellent work guys. Every frame was so excellent, with tremendous use of lighting. The recreation of the eye shot from Psycho. The part where he puts the money in his jacket. The large scale remote. Everything was so good.
Ever since you announced a release date for The Cleaners, I've been excited all week, and you certainly delivered. Everything--the set design, cinematography (split diopter shots!), editing, sound design, buttery smooth animation, lighting--feels pitch-perfect, and you've really managed to nail the grungy 70s feel. This was a pure joy to watch, and I know I'll find myself re-watching this multiple times to catch every detail and nuance.
The attention to detail in this is mind-blowing. On first viewing I didn't notice cause I was just so caught up in the story and the characters which were top class by the way. But on my second pass, wow, it's the little things, like how his pocket bulges when he puts the money in...truly you are a world class animator.
Saw a comment on here that read "You forget you're watching lego" and that thought struck me as I was watching so I'm obviously not the only one. This was so much fun. Well done guys on an excellent piece of work 👏
Holy shit, that is amazing. I did not think there would be anyone else on the level of keshen8 and forrestfire101, but here we are. You are incredibly talented, man!
Brilliant! While it can sometimes be really entertaining when a brickfilm is aware that it's a brickfilm, seeing the medium treated just like a regular live-action movie is really refreshing. Having true eye level and intimate camera placement is something missing from so many other stop motion movies, and I'm sure super challenging to pull off. Huge props!!
Wow this was absolutely amazing. There was so many cool techniques like when he placed the money in his jacket or with the remote. I would love to see another one and hope there will be a sequel.
This looks so professional! The camerawork was spectacular, lighting was very beautifully done, and the animation looks extremely realistic! I liked how the clock had moving hands. Also, the way you used pieces was very clever. The use of a ring as an ash tray, or the clear heads for lamps- Great job guys!
It's still mind-blowing how good this is. I think it somehow has the amazing quality of something from a big animation studio, but it still has the charm of a passion project, if that makes sense.
If brickfilms had an awards season you definitely would deserve to win best Cinematography. In fact this is some of the best cinematography in a brickfilm I've ever seen period. Really great work! :)
Stunning film with a well crafted script and visuals! Love these quick Edgar Wright cuts when they leave the building btw.. Also the opening scene was extremely nicely done. Top-notch work :D
I have made many stop-motions and seen hundreds on UA-cam, but this masterpiece is by far the BEST! Every shot is carefully crafted, framed, animated and edited. Words cannot describe how amazing this is!!!!!
A few details that stood out to me: pulling the cord across the ground was well animated and a brilliant character reveal, the apartment complex set design was spot on (reminded me of the Florida Project), and I think the biggest highlight for me was the animation as the character tucks money in his coat pocket.
Hello. This Lego animation was so.....UNBELIEVABLE! The storyboard, sound effects, smoothness, everything was just perfect! I can't believe that the Lego stop motion animation can be so wonderful. Also the scenery in the room....cool!
Fantastic cinematography, next level production design and a fun short story. This is the kind of work that inspires me to keep making Brickfilms. Truly amazing job gentlemen.
Guys this is so amazing!! The voices, animation, lighting etc is spot on! When I first watched this it kinda gave me of Quentin Tarantino pulp fiction vibes. Great work!!
Beautifully done. I suspect a heavy Tarantino influence and loved your choice of Pink Floyd at the end. Great cinematics. I like stories with talking only where it needs to be, just like it is, and giving the actions a chance to move the story forward on its own merit in-between.
In terms of the quality of animation this is maybe the most cinematic brick film to ever exist. Fantastic Job to both Zach and Nathan this is the reason I've stuck with you guys for so many years.
I felt like I was actually watching an episode of a show. Great work guys! Everything was excellent. I loved the cut out on the floor, simple touches are the best.
This is a candy for my eyes and ears! I've enjoyed every single detail that you've put in this video (and also all the stuff that you've shared during the production). Great teamwork!
Absolutely stunning from start to finish. The medium disappeared as the story captivated me, and the cinematography wove it all together. Truly inspiring 🙂
I do not understand how this video hasn't gotten the views it deserves. It's so amazing with tons of intelligent techniques! An inspiration to small youtubers like myself :D
I felt like watching this video today, so when I typed in “mindgame studios”, this was the first video to show up in the search results. It’s like MindGame Studios was reading my mind. Ha-ha.
This is by far the most professional and perfect Brickfilm i ever seen. So much great techniques, angles, it's astonishing. You should work with Hollywood movies or something. Great talent
O. M. G. This is one of the best brickfilms I have seen in a long time. I say that because the animation was so smooth that it felt realistic. I also loved the cool animation tricks. The cinematography was above and beyond. The scene of the two killers getting in the car and leaving was excellently shot, and the old California license plate looked really cool. This scene could have come straight from a real movie. I’m just so impressed, sorry for ranting.
Even better on a second viewing. So many innovative techniques scattered throughout including in the set design. This is next level brick filming.
Keshen8 I think what made it so good was the excellent cinematography and lighting; two major factors into making a professional film. The story was great too.
I'd let you film my brick anyday
Well, you are the one of the greatest creators of lego movies Keshen..
Keshen what FPS do you use? And what programme do you use to make your animation become smoother and did your work similar like how mind game studios does?
Wow! This is really good! It reminds me of Pulp Fiction.
This is one of the few brickfilms where you can forget you are watching LEGO. Every aspect is masterfully executed.
100% agreed!
@@JangoBricks yea
Great score as well. Vid should have at least 1mill views
True
Beauty. The only disappointing thing about it was that it ended!
Fancy Pants!
I know man it was good while it lasted
Yeah
Mr. Pants, you haven’t uploaded since 2017! Wut’s up
Hey can you turn your videos to not made for kids so we can comment
I swear to god, i wish you guys could just get a gigant budget and a big crew of brickfilm animators just to make this a full on film, even if it was just 1 hour long, it would be simply amazing
Believe me, so do we. 🙏
@@MindGameStudios This soundtrack made me remember when I used to watch the Sopranos.
Wow, I didn’t know Quentin Tarintino did brick films!
lol
We seriously need a full movie about cleaners!
That’s what I said too
Excellent work guys. Every frame was so excellent, with tremendous use of lighting. The recreation of the eye shot from Psycho. The part where he puts the money in his jacket. The large scale remote. Everything was so good.
Oh this is gold. You've done a very great job. Loved the animation, the lighting and the set design. Keep up the good work!

Masterpiece
Dirty work was the best song to put for this
Please, for the love of god, PLEASE make a sequel! This was so great, and it looked like a set up for an entire series.

Amazing! So many new and interesting techniques used throughout the brickfilm!
This is a piece of art!

As humble as Zach and Nathan are about it, this is the best brickfilm of all time.
Saw this a few months ago, and it is still my favorite LEGO animation to this day, and I am holding out hope for a sequel.
ok but this has to be the only brickfilm with a fricking SPLIT DIOPTER SHOT
This is absolutely amazing. One of the best brickfilms I've ever seen in my life. You guys have crafted a masterpiece. Well done.
This is amazing I would like a sequel because it feels like it needs a sequel but overall it's amazing
Not only the animation is one of the best i’ve ever seen but the whole esthetic, setting, music and sound design is near perfect!
Everything about this is amazing
The lighting
The music
The dialogue
Best stop motion i have ever scene
You had me at Steely Dan.
This feels like a straight up movie, masterfully planned. Amazing!
One of my personal favourite brickfilms of all time, everything about it is incredible.
The scale changes for the book and remote close-up are great.
Absolutely gorgeous set design and lighting! You guys really nailed the dumpy 70's California motel look! And of course, beautiful animation as usual!
Literally one of the best Lego animations I have ever seen, wow!
This is one of my favorite stop motions, the music fits in so well, this animation is short and sweet.
1:12 such a excellently framed shot
Wow this was absolutely amazing. There was so many cool techniques like when he placed the money in his jacket or with the remote. I would love to see another one and hope there will be a sequel.
2 years later and I'ma say that we need a sequel
Arthur Morgan I couldn’t agree more.

This is bloody incredible - one of those brickfilms that almost transcends the art and you forget you're watching a Lego video!
This... IS THE FREAKING BEST BRICKFILM I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE
it totally is
Excellent, am glad to see there are LEGO animations for mature audiences.
I found this beauty by mistake. And It happened to be the best mistake I've ever made.
This is a candy for my eyes and ears! I've enjoyed every single detail that you've put in this video (and also all the stuff that you've shared during the production). Great teamwork!
You know a video is good when HarryAndBillyBrick, Keshen, and Fancy Pants say it's good.
That may be the best brick film of all time and it is definitely my favorite, well done.
I’ve watched this several times. The lighting, the close up animation, camera angles. Superb
This should be the new gold standard for brick filming, every aspect of this film just works so well to place the viewer in its world.
Absolutely stunning from start to finish. The medium disappeared as the story captivated me, and the cinematography wove it all together. Truly inspiring 🙂

I like the cinematography
This has a value of 10.000000000000000. This is gold. The first part had a great light. It looked real.
Hats off guys. You just don't throw pink floyd into a lego short and make it work... and yet you did. Lot's of love

Kind of Sopranos, but in lego
This was incredible
The music and the film are so in harmony here.. I've got a perfect cinema experience through that piece!
I wouldn't even be mad if it was 2 seconds long, the music and the animation work together perfectly!
This is great, the lighting and camera movements are just so cinematic.
This is seriously amazing. The technique with the TV remote was so clever
Bravo. Best Lego animation for about the 70’s. He even build the car right so looks likes from the 1970’e
