It's a lovely spot. I'd have rather found a spot a bit more out of the way, off the beaten track. But we really did struggle for the weather the first week.
They are a nightmare the dogs. Going West Wales in two weeks time. Good reports on quality Bass. Was down there early May and the fishing was awesome. Nice video Alex. Tight lines.
Showed some commitment there. Must say the reef area did look tempting, though tackle hungry. Bit of the old rock and hard place situation going on. 20+ dogs and straps not to be sneezed at. Better luck at the next mark. 🧔 👍
Thought you where on Ollyhead breakwater with all them dogs Alex 😅 look forward to your nxt Ireland adventure hope you do a bit of beach surf fishing for the silver bars
Mate. Directly to the side of you you will see the long thin wall thar protects the Harbour. Half way down that 2hrs up and 2hrs over in daylight whole mackerel or flapper fishing in daylight. There are eels there up to 40lb. There is a foot path that leads to it have a look on Google maps. The pier at East Ferry is also worth a go with Bass, Conger and Thornbacks. Thanks Dave
All the places you could be fishing and your fishing of the harbour wall there's a million places you could have got out of the wind cork harbour yay not! It's like going to a fine Scottish distillery and asking for a beer
@@theawfulangler you mean the Republic of Ireland then? Funny though how the most northerly part of the Island is in the Rep of Ireland. Like referring to England as Southern Scotland.
@snap-n-shoot I meant the southern coast of Ireland, but you're not the first to pull me on it. Just need to remember to be more specific on the next video that it's the west coast of Ireland, and not just western Ireland before people start thinking I've made another new country up 😂
@@theawfulangler I know it comes across as being pedantic… but it is a bit important. But good of you to acknowledge it. I live in Galway…The west of Ireland. It is a very sensitive often political topic but important to differentiate.

Not far from me. Good video mate.
You sure you're in Ireland and not the Isle of Dogs Alex?🤣😂
Walk across the cliff walk towards ballyandreen killer place for bass I've caught loads of double figure fish on plastic lures from the cliffs.
Just up the road from you, co.waterford
Thanks for sharing, dogs are terrible. Maybe out behind the breakers would have been worth having a go. Cheers.
Any mackerel around cork off the rocks?
None when I was there. And there were plenty of folk trying for them
5:46 good efforts Alex. Is that a miniature 'McD Golden Arch' on the quayside?
How much is that doggy in the window 😂
Did you catch any Dogfish m8t 😂😂

PM me and maybe I can offer some advice for the southwestern places.
St Alex, sent to rid Ireland of dogfish 😂 👍
😂😂😂
@fishingcountrylifewithtommyjoe He tried Anglesey but they're still here 🤣
@@dazlee3257 I heard the guide was no good on Anglesey tbh
@fishingcountrylifewithtommyjoe a guide dog can only steer it's, her, his, their master in the right direction.
@@dazlee3257 I'll remember this for the future hahah
