The "Toy Soldiers" song that he sampled was great for him on so many levels, since the original song was about the endless struggle with addiction - the artist wrote it about a friend who was battling cocaine addiction at the time. When he makes a song, even the sample choice is at least a double.
Eminem said in an interview that he was upset that people didn’t realize that he had a word for every time the drum hit in the song. He said it was tedious to write the song and no one really noticed

Fifty did get stabbed but it's unclear whether it was actually Ja or not. But either way, that was a time where both Fifty and Eminem both would wear bulletproof vests (it's hinted at in the video) because it was getting seriously dangerous. I wasn't much into hiphop back then (if at all) and I still remember that being a theme even in newspapers and such.
