County Attorneys have to go by State law,if you want it changed you have to petition your State Legislative Politicians to change it,what he stated is true on the time and confession by State Law!And yes 16 years isnt enough time for what he did,he should have gotten Life without the possibilty of parole!

Well I still doubt any real justice would happen because regular ppl face to face with the perp? Those men are fast talkers and know how to turn it on and confuse us. After all,it’s hard for normal ppl to even understand that kind of rage and contempt. When it came down to it they’d probably what? Punch him? Fight him? It definitely wouldn’t be the appropriate justice that’s warranted

Well, This police department thinks highly of themselves when the only reason they found Kelly's body was because the killer (Kelly's husband )was offered a deal of
Second Degree for the murder of his wife Kelly if he told them where her body was. The killer (her husband) jumped on that deal and tells them. They race to where he said her body is. ( The police department's hard work. really! )and this monster that decided to end Kelly's life gets 16 short years! And the police department has the nerve to take how much time patting themselves on the back for all the Hard work they did in finding Kelly!! before even saying Kelly's name. Hard work is handing out a plea deal! 16 years for Kelly's life!! ........... He will be out in 16 years!

@carenfarmer4794 they must not have had enough to charge him or find her. 16 yrs sucks BUT not getting your l.o. body is like another death. It can drag out years in court which tortures the familu even more. They prob went to the fam and asked them if they were willing for him to get 16 in xchange for giving her up.

BS he will be released early mark my words he will serve half 8 years. life without parole is the only time a person will serve every day with no early release. no one will be dotified he will just walk out and be on probation for the rest of his sentence. pat yourselves on the back for a job will done. she will still be dead.

This was handled expeditiously and the way ALL missing person cases should be handled from the get go. They have not been previously. Ty Flagstaff Police for setting the gold standard. ❤

Since when is a case that is found to be a murder expected to be handled expeditiously vs. thoroughly & seeking justice for the victim?

@@UrgetoRun I stated "missing person case." Until the husband confessed and her body was recovered this was a missing person case. It was not a murder case until the husband confessed, was charged, arraigned, entered a plea and plea was signed. Innocent until proven guilty or in this case confessed and all due process before you can technically call it a murder.

@UrgetoRun PS You might want to be careful out there. I've been working a missing person case for two years in Sedona. Four others went missing out near the same place. None have been seen or heard from again. I don't understand runners, hikers, tourists and seekers that come to Sedona and Northern Arizona with a false sense of security that they believe it is safe to hike etc in the desert. Arizona has one of the highest number of missing persons in the United States. Flagstaff Police was transparent and kept the public informed. Unlike Yavapai county which is less than transparent in several cases. If I had a dollar for every time a local in Sedona said "What missing girl?" I have alot of money. I would be using the handle called Urg to OUTRUN particularly out FSR 525. Stay safe.

16? You sold out mr attorney stand there like you did something great! Replace him judge and rest involved in sentence agreement! Killed mother sister daughter friend neighbor wtf. And your thanking husband like a hero! I don’t think community is happy! I know as American your agreement sucks! Life for life! He’s gonna be model prisoner get out half time. Your agreement doesn’t count once he’s in system it’s mandatory! I don’t agree at all!
