- The bladed jig is a versatile bait that can be fished year round! The chatterbait can mimic all sorts of prey species and is a great bait to have on the deck when targeting bass. Lets talk about a chatterbait trailer that I have missed on to help you go out and catch more and bigger bass!

I just want to let you know that I randomly came upon this video as I was looking at February fishing techniques. I really liked your style and your demeanor as you explained the bait selections and options of different trailers for the chatter bait and that kept me watching and listening, however, at the end when you went into the faith segment sharing the Bible verse that’s what solidified it for me, you now have a new subscriber and a thumbs up on the video and I pray that God continues to use your channel and your life to bless and minister to peoplehaving a teacher’s heart and a love for Christ and love for his people is what this world needs more of!
Appreciate your feedback! Means a lot. I got challenged to start the faith juice segment last spring. I started it around May and have had positive feedback. Thanks again!
Great video. I was so happy to see that tak got nominated for hof this year . Glad to see you give him his props he is the most accurate caster I have ever seen . He Is surgical for sure . He is one the greatest of all time for sure and did that at Conroe w just a chatterbait . Glad to see someone recognize tak finally .
Yeah he deserves it for sure! I have always enjoyed watching Tak. As you can tell I root for him too!
Great tips and message coach!

You my friend have a new follower. Thank you
Appreciate ya!! Thanks for the feedback. I always have a faith juice segment at the end of my videos. Started that this last June. I do a variety of videos on my channel. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
@TheFishingCoach awesome brother sounds good
Good Word!!! 👍🏼🙌👍🏼
Appreciate ya! 👍🏽
Good stuff man! Will give these a whirl
Good deal! Good luck to you
You might miss a couple short strikes with the bigger trailers, but bass will usually try to eat their prey head first.
Yeah and from watching Tak with this, I have not seen him miss many either....
I like the 6in caffeine shad in chartreuse as trailer
Oooh I like that idea! Thanks for sharing 👍🏽
T really likes that geecraft bellows as a trailer
I have seen him throw that one too
Love to try. I do have some big keitech
Sweet! Good luck to ya 👍🏽
Been using that set up for a couple years now. I sized up one year and was getting smashed. Another one I was using was the big ol' geecrack. Black and blue with both the jack hammer and crack. I've also noticed that trimming the skirt on the chatterbait isnt necessary and often produces less bites than straight out the box.
Interesting to hear that about trimming of the skirt. Thanks for sharing
@TheFishingCoach last march I trimmed the skirt on a couple older jackhammer I trimmed it in a "v" shape on the side profile so the bottom and top would be shorter than middle section. I also trimmed one way back in a more random manner. Neither produced the amount of bites as fresh out the package. I still caught fish on them, just not as many. I was catching almost a fish per cast on the unmodified. I also switched to an Evo around May of last year, and those are my new go to. A few bucks cheaper and they seem.just as dart-y as the jackhammer. I don't even use the glued skirt version any more.
Great video! Do you put your paddle tail swimbait upside down? I thought keeping it rightside up would make it rise. So good up in the skinny, right?
I have done both! Time and place for both ways
From what I have seen myself in using it both ways is that rigging right side up is that the tail on a larger swimbait is not moving nearly as fast as the blade/head it basically makes the overall presentation look more like a baitfish trying to get away from a bigger fish, and yes it does give a little more lift. When rigging upside down it kinda allows the swimbait tail to kick a little faster and more in turn with the blade/head. I use both ways to figure out what they want that day. Like coach said time and place for pretty much anything when it comes to fishing.
Appreciate the insight! Some good info here
Bless U

Ever throw a bladed jig at Beards Lake below Millwood or maybe a Gambler Cane Toad?
At one time I caught a few there with the bladed jig
What trailer was TAKO THROWING was it the x zone one
On the MLF tournament website I have seen MLF Diezel MinnowZ. The Swammer wold be a good one!
I know has said before using a zman trailer
Yeah I believe it is that one but he still has a few tricks up the sleeeve we may not know 🤣
I bet he uses the 8 inch one and cuts it down a bit
@ me too
👍🏽👍🏽
try mounting your boot tail upside down on the bladed jig...
That does work! I have a few rigged like that
Or you can trim down the tail boot down with some scissors ✂️ works great less drag on the chatter bait 🎣🐟👍
Magnum Fluke....
I have some ready for action!
Always use a boot tail! Don’t believe em
Depends who you talk too on this hahaa
Why wouldn't you know what trailer was used??
You can get it from the tournament websites but over half the time they lie. I was meaning it in that way
I’m thinking the swimbait looks like a 5.5 inch Mega Swammer by Xzone Lures
@codycampbellfishing2007 Thanks!
