Had my 2022 M3P for a week now. No panel gaps or any issues. My coworker got his LR 2 months ago and his only one was the Frunk was slightly off center.
We’re loving ours. The 0-60 hits are so much fun. I’m getting 18 or 19” Martian wheels though for less weight and better protection against potholes.
I have same car. Swapped to mountain pass performance coilovers and h&r spacers to make front and rear wheels flush. Came out great, ride and look wise 👍

The LR and Performance actually have the same range if you put the same rims in the car. So buying an LR and putting 20”’s in it would take it to P range and similarly putting 19” in the Performance takes it to LR range with similar rims/wheels.

@@deathangel4462 yes it is. Same battery size. Rims make up the difference in range. Many people put 19” even 18” as winter wheels on the Perf to get better range.

@@ProTeslaVoltEven if there is more to it than just the wheels, it would absolutely be minimum. The range difference isn't enough to be much more than wheel aerodynamics and the unsprung mass of heavier wheels.
Coming from a Lincoln Aviator and a Genesis G80 I now have the model Y for 2 months and absolutely love it! and gotta say your part of the inspiration behind that. but the long range wheels I have look ugly and I’d love to get the wheels your old Model 3 had…

They’re basically the same car, just the speed, spoiler, brakes, rims, pedals, track mode added.
Just curious if you experience wind noise on the driver side? We have the 3P and have wind noises.
i have a 2020 tesla model 3 lr and i put 140,000km in 2 years. i tuned the car and added about 50hp (ingenext boost 50) and the boost is great and the car is about the same speed as the performance (top speed is a little lower tho.) I still feel like i should have gotten the performance because of the brakes. I feel like the brakes are just weak on the long range especially at high speed. also i would really like to have track mode and customize where the power goes. also i want higher top speed!!! lmao. i’m definitely going to buy the performance when my lease term is over. but i’m happy with the car i have rn.
Nice! Forgot to mention the higher top speed 163 vs 144mph. LR is still a fantastic car (just needs a different set of wheels) ;)
I am a Tesla fan boy and I don't even have a Tesla yet 😂😂 as soon as the new model 3 performance is available to order in Phoenix I'm getting it!!! The wait sucks. I test drove it, the car was so fun , freaking fast and so planted to the pavement.
The disadvantage of the Tesla 3 performance can actually be the size of the rims and the thin tires if you drive over a pothole. There is a UA-cam video of a guy who did it. so he decided to get smaller rims for his Tesla 3 performance
Was bummed my 22 Performance didn’t come lowered. Lowering mine (mild 1.25 drop) to make it look like the previous 3 P

At this point, you could well choose rims for the Tesla 3 long range when you ordered the car

Great video. Just took delivery of my '22 blue/white Model 3P. Could not be happier with this car, and the range has been fine so far although you really have to be conservative to get anywhere close to the stated range. I think I'm still a bit anxious about taking it on a longer trip (200+ miles) but I've taken it up multiple mountain passes and it's the most entertaining car I've owned. And the sound system is fantastic, it's the only system I've had since my old 2008 IS350 with the Mark Levinson system that I've really been fully satisfied with. Only gripe with mine is it came with a couple of very minor cosmetic issues - slightly misaligned frunk and actually I think I have the same flappy sound (almost sounds like a sheet of paper flapping in the wind or something like that) coming from the FL wheel well at speeds above 50 mph or so, but I haven't been able to identify the source yet. Did you make a video about how to fix that?
Interesting my 22 M3P also has that faint flappy paper noise at speed too
@@andrewrae50 I'm taking mine in this Weds to have it diagnosed and hopefully fixed. I think it's the wheel well liner, it's just kind of hanging in there, not really secured or anything. I've also got a few interior rattles I'm hoping they will address but if not, I'll probably just fix them myself.

@@21AirDrop Tesla fixed the frunk and the flappy noise. IIRC they had it for 2 days, and it's been fine for the last few months since it was fixed. The only issue I've had since then is now that UT winter is here, when it gets below maybe about 40 degrees, sometimes the weather seal around the windows seems to shrink a bit and I hear pronounced wind noise, but it goes away once everything warms up again. Kind of a funny quirk, I guess, but I keep it in the garage so it's not a huge deal and only seems to happen if left parked outside for a while. Oh, there is one other issue, which is now my wife has realized how much she loves it too, so she swipes it every chance she gets haha.
@@21AirDrop Also, if you tap on the wheel well liners you can probably find one that has a lot of slop in it instead of being snugly secure to the body, and is the likely culprit.

I'll answer the question. Even with the quality issues, I want a Tesla because I am tired of spending a lot of money on maintenance and service. The price of gas doesn't affect me because I only drive to work once a week. Lexus service has cost me $9300 in a course of one year on a 2007 Lexus GS 350. I am done with combustion engine cars.
How long did it take you to get a vin from your order date?

If Tesla 3 performance is no longer as low. so maybe it's due to complaints about the suspension comfort From some people And the big rims With the thin tires doesn't make the comfort better
how tall are u? would a 6’7” guy fit in there?
not a good choice for 6’7 guy. i’m exactly 6 feet and i feel like if ur any bigger than 6’3, it’s not a comfortable car.

I just wish the model 3 performance came with like 345 miles & LR should be 385 miles of range .. I travel 400+ miles in my Tesla but i have to stop like 4 times to charge its agg it makes trips like 2 hours longer than it should..

@@johnnybegood12 I live in Finland, Tesla center said that it would arrive in december, but then it would be 2022 model when registered, so we pushed back the date and now the app shows that the order is in hold till January 2th.

I got a Tesla Model 3 Performance. The only problem is , I cant wait to get rid off it!. It is good for city driving. But on a motorway journey in winter, the range is appalling. And once you reach 60miles per hour or so, the handling is disgusting. No where near my previous petrol car, unfortunately. To anyone looking for a Tesla, my only advise is, it is an expensive car and it is not cheap to run in UK atleast. Also dont get me wrong, it is not a luxury car. Just a box with batteries. General quality is nowhere near leading petrol car manufacturers. My Tesla got a problem with water entering the rear light cluster. Got it replaced under warranty. Still problem persists.
Buy whatever you want. No one gives a damn.
