See, I can't WAIT for OG to come back because I HATE medallions!!!, and feel like that if they give you an advantage over another player, it should go in a weapon slot and not in your inventory. I am a below average player and feel like their matchmaking is flawed and just throw us less skilled players in sweaty lobbies and not fun when you are constantly losing to cheaters and sweats.
I fell like bringing back OG fortnite for a permanent mode isnt a great idea. I love OG Fortnite but I think the main reason it’s special is because it’s OG. I feel like it’s going to kill innovation by making people want to play OG rather than chapter 6 dividing the player count even more.
Ppl that still despise modern fortnite still have no hope or dont care for ch6 so let em be in the past forever, playing same old recycle stuff knowing its going to be stale regardless no matter what og season comes every "month".
The player count is already super divided, and if they dump a mode like Reload, I don't see the issue. I think people are stretching to find fault in this.
All this says to me is that Epic is absolutely 100% aware that going forward they're going to be doubling-down on a lot of the aspects of Fortnite many people really dislike, i.e. the metaverse, collabs, broken mythics and season concepts etc. and this is their way of attempting to avoid alienating those people and at the very least still not missing out on skin sales etc.
Bit best of both worlds is good? I like both I enjoy the crazy mythics and nonsense like chapter t season 3 but also sometimes feel like getting back to basics why cant both be balance eachother?
I’m an OG player who HATES everything about new fortnite, same with most of my friends who quit playing at the end of chapter 4. Reload is fun but sometimes I just want to get on and chill, not constantly be fighting. This is keeping me playing as I was planning on quitting after remix (which I also don’t want to play since it’s a big ad 🙃) OG being a permanent gamemode also opens up the possibility of returning battle passes for old players and the game will be kept fresh monthly with new seasons, hoping they also add chapter 2 to the cycle after season x!!!
As an OG player I don't mind going back to older stuff every now and then, but I always looked at Fortnite as a forward-thinking game, always innovating and staying on the cutting edge. They seem to dip into the vault a lot when it comes to BR nowadays, and that takes away from the special feeling a little bit.
While true, its more than possible for them to just *make* a good, simple loot pool (by just copying old loot pools), but the reason remix is mostly ch2s2 is because it is what people are nostalgic for
"I disagree with you. Look at the Counter-strike series. Each part of this series has developed exclusively in technical terms and content. But such things/mechanics as sprint, modifications, ballistics are not there, otherwise the game will cease to be itself. The game is in first place in online on steam every day, people do not get tired of it at all. I think it is not worth mentioning how rarely updates are released there compared to fortnite. Fortnite just ceased to be itself, and that is why most people left the game, that is why many say that it was better before. Comparing chapters is just a matter of preference. All people are different, and everyone has different preferences, tastes. Therefore, there can be no objectivity in comparing chapters. I like OG Fortnite the most, and nostalgia has nothing to do with it - it's a stereotype. OG Fortnite is a classic battle royale, where there is nothing superfluous: no mythic locations, no point captures, no crafts, no NPCs, no bunkers, no orders, no weapon cases, no overbuffed cars, etc. Only battles between players, which brings the most emotions (and in Chapter 1, by the way, there were no bots at all). That is, I like OG for its simplicity and complete unpredictability, which was clearly not the case in the same Chapter 5. Chapter 1 was the most original and independent in all respects: characters / skins, BP, map, locations, weapons, modes, etc. Chapter 1 had the most developed and unique art style (although the graphics were the worst, but for me art style > graphics). Here the most updates were released, and at the same time everything was absolutely new (I take information not from my head, but from a trusted site). The seasons were short and did not seem drawn out. Most of all, LTM modes came out here, which were one of the game's calling cards. The most variable and best transport, diverse loot pool. I'm sure I haven't covered everything. I want to convey the idea that you can't take away from people what they liked and what they were used to, otherwise it leads to stories of "it was better before". Epic couldn't repeat exactly the same OG seasons, and the decision to make a separate mode is the most optimal. There is no need to reinvent the wheel for this mode. They can fully work through all the seasons, and in the future they will not have to touch it. It's like seasonal events in PVE, which change on their own. Epic will focus all their attention on new content in other modes. Yes, this will not bring back old memories, but it will create new ones. The OG mode will be something like a generator of new emotions, which, for me personally, will work better than the same Chapter 5. We all have our favorite food that we like to eat sometimes, and we don’t get tired of it at all. If you eat this food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can go crazy. But if you eat it sometimes, you will like it, like last time. I don’t see anything wrong with adding the OG mode. It will not negatively affect the online of the main battle royale, but on the contrary, it will expand the overall online of the game (look at Reload: the mode has existed for 4 months, but it has a stable online every day, like the usual battle royale). The game will become much more varied. Just imagine: we will have the battle royale of Chapter 6, OG mode, Reload and other new modes. If in Chapter 6 one of the seasons turns out to be terrible, people will not leave the game, because they have other modes."
finally someone here with some sense, ITS NOT NOSTALGIA, OG WAS JUST BETTER. can't wait til these Fortnite glazers get proven wrong. everyone will see that modern fortnite is garbage slop and og will save the game
@arandomperson2540 it wasn't lol it was only nostalgia because we already played these seasons you will get bored after 5 months and if you don't you will after you go back to seasons 1 again after 1 year
@@Gamerhsl-s7h nah, I have had more fun these last few days then in the entirety of chapter 5, I got bored of every chapter 5 season after a week because all it was garbage op mythic brainrot slop 😂
@@Gamerhsl-s7h People played Reload for 4 months (before adding map rotation and solo mode), where the map is much smaller than in a regular battle royale. And during this time, apart from minor changes to the loot pool, nothing happened, but people continued to play it. The online was sometimes more than in a regular battle royale. Why would everyone suddenly get bored of the OG mode, which will have large-scale changes every month? Your words are also refuted by the analogy with Counter strike
Fatigue was inevitably going to set in with OG, regardless of if they make it a permanent mode or stick with the annual rollout. This is a huge win in my eyes, between reload, Br and now OG; players are spoilt for choice
Imo, fatigue will never be a factor, for several reasons. 1. Ch1 was 10 seasons, all very different from one another. Each season had a completely different meta due to wildly varying loot pools, golf karts, ATK's, planes, ballers, wind turbines and mechs, etc. These will rotate every month. 2. By the time we get through a full chapter, an entire year will almost have passed. Old players will drop out. New ones and returning ones will pop in, and nothing will be stale to these new players. 3. Also, if you tire of OG, just play modern Fortnite BR. Or something else. People only got tired of Ch1 back then because there was nothing else. Your only options were BR and LTM's, both on the same map. We have more options now.
This is obviously the most controversial video on this channel , crazy to see that in chapter 5 season 3 his video about how its actually a good season with like a million terrible arguments and logical fallacys gets only love but this video, (with admittedly bad points as well) is hated by all
I honestly wouldn’t want chapter 1 permanently back. OG served its purpose and I want to move forward. The chapter 5 map wasn’t great but it wasn’t the main reason why I disliked it, it was bullet drop. For those who would say “get good” or whatever, I never cared how bad I am, I just came to play. But anyways, if they bring back Chapter 1, I won’t be mad, cause I loved chapter 1. But it’s concerning if this doesn’t do well for the game after a while.
I personally think that it's sorta flipped on it's head here. The community only wants or is able to positively respond to nostalgia content and so Fortnite keeps putting it in so we all stop crying about how the game was better back then. We are telling them we only want old stuff so they're delivering on that.
Hey, regular watcher from TikTok here. While I see some good things to come of it. I think it would allow them to be more risky with the chapters going forward. It also acts like a living museum for the first steps and it would also give players another alternative for those who think reload is too sweaty.
I have quite a few thingd to say: 1) I think the reason they DIDNT fully give us C2 S2 is so that they can save that move for when fortnite is SERIOUSLY dying. We havent reached that point yet. 2) Im not a fan of OG becoming a gamemode. It is inevitable that it will be more popular than C6 MAIN BR, which isnt good for my biggest fear: fortnite will one day stop their major updates. I belive that they are realising players love old fortnite, and then they will stop putting effort into new chaptets. I think the reason epic are developing UEFN and creator tools so much is that they can one day sit back and let the game and creators run it themselves. This is further backed up by the fact they are adding custon weapons to creative. People will make their own br with custom updates to keep the playrrs happy
I'm going to steal your argument here, if it gets stale.... don't play it. It's as simple as that. Rocket Racing is incredibly stale, but there are still people who play it and that is fine, I don't see anyone complaining about that. The point of OG is not to "keep it fresh", in fact it is the exact opposite. The point of OG is to go back to version of the game that feels better to the majority of people. It doesn't matter if OG takes away from chapter 6 because anyone who chooses OG over Chapter 6 would likely no be playing chapter 6 as much anyways. My other issue with you argument is....who cares. Genuinely, if playing on the chapter 1 island gets stale who cares, there will still be millions of people who will only play on that map...so give them that opportunity. If it gets stale there are plenty of other game modes to go play and that is great. The same argument can apply to chapter 6. What happens when chapter 6 gets stale (i.e. wilds and wrecked), if thats the case then players have the option to play on the amazing grounded version of the game they love. In my opinion, with the loads of game modes this game offers, there is no down side to having an Og mode (that cycles every month) for players to choose top play.
Exactly, if you don't want to play ch1 then you can just hop right back onto the ch6 map. If that's not enough, then you got other modes reload. The options Fortnite is giving us in ch6 is a great step in the right direction.
@@BigGuy1269 agreed. I’m not playing any of the new stuff. I played all OG remix month last year, then quit for a year until the Ch2 Remix dropped. Them deciding to bring Ch1 OG back is going to make me play the game all the time as opposed to one month out of the year. Great move by epic
Hmm... What if we get the same live events? I'm sure they still have the files, sure they'd have to change a few things to make it work but I feel they could pull it off, their playercount would skyrocket so people could re-experience those live events
If they bring back C1 I hope they bring back other chapters as well. Other chapters means more players and more players means money for them and happiness for us
@@tanner5809 I don’t know man the start of this season which is C2 had 5M players and the start of season og had 6M. That’s not that big a difference. Even if it was a big difference there’s no denying that other players would come for the other chapters, and more players are good. The C1 glaze needs to stop man
No. For one, it's not all nostalgia. If it were, all those OG people would've quickly realized that during OG and the game would've been pretty dead at the end of that month, which is what a lot of OG haters predicted. That obviously didn't happen. We need this. Epic has made modern Fortnite so wildly different that we need Ch1 at all times for those who don't like the direction of regular BR. The problem is that Epic has been experimenting with how to accomplish this, and now we have 3 things going on. They probably will slowly weed out Reload, as it's kinda redundant. Sweats have Zone Wars maps. OG/Remix can come back yearly, no problem, because we still need to see other old Chapters. Btw, I said we should have Ch1 with rotating seasons a year ago, so clearly I'm a genius. 😂 EDIT: Also, giving us this means that Epic doesn't have to worry about baking old ideas into the modern game, which completely opens them up to do whatever they want in normal BR.
Honestly, I think they should just abolish the current structure of how chapters are done (December launch-1 year long-OG revisit in November-Repeat). Instead of new chapters ONLY being focused on a singular map for 1-2 years, they should make a balance. Introduce map rotations to regular BR. Combine all the different seasons from one Chapter into a single map that will be used for this rotation (for example, have the C1 map be a mix of all the different C1 seasons, but not strictly focused on one version, so you get a bit of everything). Do this for all 5 maps, and this way, you'd have 5 different maps with unique designs that would be on rotation in this mode all the time. So if this is about old maps returning, then what's gonna happen to the new chapter map? Here's the thing - that map is the one that will still evolve as it does during its year-long lifespan and will be available to play all year long in the regular BR/ZB playlists, while the other maps will be available on rotation in a separate BR/ZB playlist. To make things fresh, the selection of maps in this "rotation" mode would change each season of the "new chapter." So, for example, C6S1 will feature the C1 & C4 maps in the rotation playlist (both switching every 30 minutes), C6S2 will feature C3 & C5, and so on, all while the new map gets the classic chapter and season treatment and is available all year long. Once that maps chapter comes to an end, they combine all the different seasons from that map into one version and add it to the rotation mode, while the next chapter map takes the spotlight. This would be a perfect blend of old and new while keeping things from becoming old and stale. You wouldn't be able to play OG C1 all year long, sometimes you'll need to wait several seasons to go back to it, but you will still get to experience all the different eras of Fortnite frequently AND you would still have the ever evolving current version available. This would not only allow us to have old maps return but also save new maps from being forgotten after its chapter has ended WITHOUT the need for a month long OG/Remix every November. You'd have the ability to re-experience different eras of the game all year long while also being able to play the new innovative things. (Sorry if you're seeing this multiple times, my YT is kinda bugged & it doesn't seem to show that I posted my comment).
when i first played the og season, i just got my fill on nostalgia, but i kept coming back. i wasnt nostalgic, but the game was SO MUCH FUCKING FUN. i just wanna have fun, and chapter 4,5 the last half of 3, and 90% of c2 was just not that.
The problem with reload is that it is a bum rush mode. Fortnite pacing is special, especially in chapter 1, with enough balance of looting, open scenery, and fights. But with ultra sweats who play against me as a casual who loves og modes, reload just feels like “get good or just quit”
dude i fw ur content so hard you're probably one of the most level headed and unbiased creators ive come across in the gaming space. even when i disagree with something u say, i always understand exactly where youre coming from. i get the sense that you really take the time writing ur videos, and you really care about what you talk about. anyway yeah like good shit dawg
To me, this feels like epic making Fortnite more in-line with other BRs like PUBg and Apex Legends. Fortnite has always been a single map/single mode experience, with little variation between especially with the removal of LTMs for so long. To me this feels like the right move because it makes everyone happy. There’s still classic Fortnite in all it’s glory there for those who want it, and then there’s modern Fortnite where Epic can experiment with whatever they want, and the in-between modes like Reload, and the upcoming 50 player Br or 5v5 deathmatch for variation. That’s a more traditional approach to making a multiplayer game, it’s what most other games in the genre does, and I’m all for it.
I think OG mode would get alot of attention at the start of each season then fall off and people would go back to regular BR/Zero Build because of the new stuff. It already happens with Reload. If anything OG mode would eat into Reload.
No matter what they do people will complain imo enjoy the game while it lasts new chapters and older ones this can only be good imo you can swap back and forth to enjoy both
People can’t be pleased. Lol I guess the only thing to do is to just keep in the mindset of “Things were better back in Chapter 1” without letting anything ruin that feeling, even being able to come back and play true OG.
im much more hyped for chapter six because i’ve already experienced og fortnite twice. sure it will always be my favorite and i will always cherish it and probably still play it when it comes back out but i always just want a new chapter that can bring a new fun twist to the game. chapter 4 was the definition of that. you wouldn’t have even been able to recognize the game as fortnite besides the guns and skins, but it still was fun and spectacular to play
mate your talking from the perspective of a someone who plays fortnite everyday, some people like myself just wanna play the fortnite they fell in love with at any time they want whilst also having battlepasses to grind for. go away with the stupid rotation i want my map back. C5 was the first chapter since C2 S5 where i didn't complete a battlepass in fact i didn't complete 3 of the battlepasses in C5. i fell out of love with the game now im exited again
I personally agree with this a lot it won't be special but they should just make it a creative island preset and give full access to everything in creative and allow map makers to have a battle bus and any season that's not a collab season so players can remake Og Fortnite but put a new spin on things
Being entirely honest, it would be nice to have a little stability. I played during Chapter 1 and quit about halfway through Chapter 2, I'm not interested in playing again with the current direction the game is going in. I don't care if it's not "special" because for me, it being special was always about the fact that I think it's just a more fun experience. I feel like that's the crowd they are aiming for, the crowd who would otherwise not play the game because they don't like the direction. Reload isn't a magical fix
honestly, im interested in early fortnite just to see the map changes through out the seasons atleast once. though the novelties gonna disappear after i got my fill for playing a bit in each season. ill then mainly play br and reload once i get my fill. idk about other ppl though. with that said, itll be the main mode a lot of ogs and sweats will play. though theres still some sweats that will atleast want to see wat helios will be like. which is fine. everyone SHOULD be allowed to try out new stuff. but still.
bringing back og fort proves that not only are they not confident in their new content but also that they are fully prepared to cash in on nostalgia. It feels just as soulless and greedy as any of the collabs they've been doing for the past couple years.
The thing I’m dreading the most is when we switch to a new season. Will it slowly progress through the season’s loot pool and map throughout the month, or will it be stagnant until it rotates?
I'm having fun playing OG fortnite it's fun to play with old friends again this is the most fun I had in months happy they making this permanent. Everyone gets what they want you like the new stuff you play it you like the old stuff you play it I'm happy
(Dispite what I'm about to say I do believe OG is becoming a crutch for epic games) I am really not a fan of CH5 style of gameplay its not the same fun hard hitting face paced gameplay I fell in love with so if they aren't gonna change it they might aswell add OG as a permanent mode I am sick of the new guns and attachments
Funnily enough, even before they did Season OG the game was actually hitting peak numbers in Chapter 4 Season 4. Nothing close to OG obviously, but the game was far from dying
as someone who didnt experience most of chapter 1 up until season 9, i feel like this permanent mode could be a fantastic way to educate newer audiences in the joy of OG fortnite in its most faithful state that we have heard so much about, but have yet to experience.
As someone who started during ch4 and don't have the nostalgia Goggles I felt chapter OG incredibly bland, slow, stale and with ugly graphics compared to the insane art direction and gameplay ch4 had, I know it won't but I really hope this fails, that ch6 is so good and reload so dynamic that ch1 rots with a way lower player base. Bringing back ch1 for a year just ain't it, if it succeed I don't even want to think of the consequences for classic battle royale, having reload was already the best move for those who really wanted that classic fortnite flare with a really interesting twist.
Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, people like the idea of having more than one BR map to play on and have stylistic preferences? Hoping for it to fail just seems extremely contradictory to the direction the game is headed in. That's just me though.
@@sevenhunderedandseventy-se8719 Counterpoint. Reload is right there, as a permanent mod But you know what? if they bring back chapter 1 they should do it in its outdated and clunky glory, without sprint, mantling, sliding, longer time to open chests and everything else that is objectively worse as an experience, with that version of chapter 1 I really want to see how it holds among a more modern fortnite audience already used to the quality of life improvements in the current game
I certainly understand your points but honestly I don't think you should be too concerned about it being permanent. It's been demonstrated that players really enjoy having that version of Fortnite and I know for myself, there have been many times where I wished I could just play on the Chapter 1 map and haven't been able to. To know I'll be able to play on it whenever I want makes me want to play more, not less. And I'm sure there are others who feel the same way. I do think people get unrealistic when they expect it to be an exact replica of the glory OG days of Fortnite, because there's just no way to realistically re-experience something for the first time again. However, I think there's a good majority of players, myself included, who just enjoy that play style of Fortnite that Chapter 1 offers as opposed to how collab centric it is today. In my opinion this will keep people playing because they can play a version of Fortnite they enjoy most. Lastly, keep in mind that there are constantly new players coming to the game and they may prefer the type of gameplay OG offers more than the modern formula, just like lots of old school players. For instance, my brother started playing during the Fortnite OG season last year and while hes enjoyed the other seasons he's told me he prefers the more grounded gunplay and not having to deal with things like Marvel items. Great video as always bro! It's great when we're able to share different viewpoints without being toxic 👍🏻.
I think if they do vring back og fortnite as a permanent mode it should be a fortnite creative thing where you can use old br maps to makes nee experiences on them
Look man, I hate to be that guy and sound like a complete nerd, but I believe this is a good decision. Epic seemed to abandon the story for br after chapter 3, and the last parts of that original story seemed really rush. Epic slightly pushing that aside and focusing their resources on their metaverse they were working on, and guess what? we now have that metaverse. After the OG season ended last year and chapter 5 was introduced with the new modes (lego, festival and rocket racing) my love for the game died off, and it seems like with modern br they just try make it look as good as possible, to show off to investors on what they're capable of, it killed my love for the game but I slowly learnt to accept the metaverse and still enjoy the game with it included. So yeah, now that the game is literally a metaverse, they may aswell add OG back permanently lol, if they're trying to make their little metaverse as big as a platform as possible, they may aswell add AS MUCH AS THEY CAN atp, thats how I see it man. The br storyline isn't shit anymore and I guarentee br's chapter 6 will still be a realistic boring piece of junk, but some people will still enjoy it, and for those who don't enjoy it BUT still wanna play fortnite br, they can just play OG, simple as that.
i have not watched the vid now. i think fortnite is to scared to fail and then they do so big things that half the time don’t work. the community will never be satisfied bc everyone is different but when fortnite was confident and doing what they do best. it would always work out. i liked chapter 5 it had higher potential but the seasons where not executed properly imo. and when the we as a community ask for original fortnite we would get it in some shape or form like creative 2.0 or reload. fortnite is a game thats evolving constantly and im excited for that bc i keep coming back. when i heard that in december chapter 1 would comeback permanently i immediately knew that fortnite is scared. last chapter i liked hoping on every day or 2 to play some solos or duo’s but at the end of the day players are never happy
I disagree, sometimes it's nice to have simplicity and when you get sick of simplicity you can play new fortnite. Also for some people this would be an entirely new experience. And for me personally I love chapter 1 not just because of nostalgia it's because like I said, I like simplicity. And plus there are some seasons I didn't play at all. So overall this is a W in my opinion, share y'all's opinion in the replys. Edit: also the closest thing we have to OG is reload and it's filled with a bunch of sweats.
The problem is that the vocal community in the net is repeating again and again that’s what they want no matter if they are a minority in the game. If different kind of games don’t work is normal they focus in the ones trending in game.
It’s absolutely not the minority, everyone loves OG Fortnite, especially people above the age of 15, the recent seasons are more popular with younger audiences
@ I have 48, I hate it. My entire group of more than 20 people hate it, they are all around or over 40. Is bad game design. Most of the people that “love” the OG, don’t play anymore. They can return for “once in a time” month return, but they will not come back for a permanent mode. If you were right, everyone would be playing reload and other modes will be empty. In the moment Epic fix the entry barrier and launch Disney mode more people with other tastes will join the game.
I see what you’re saying because having once a year keeps it fresh and new and everyone gets excited for that one time of year, but I would like to argue that epic has tried a lot of things to the community with new types of guns, a new movement new looking graphics and things like that and the community has said no no no no to everything. Granted some of the things were bad and I would agree with that, but they have been trying a lot of new things and the community has been saying no most of the time and with chapter 1, coming in as a permanent mode, I believe that a lot of people will be satisfied, and the reason why I say this is because I feel like the Fortnite community doesn’t like change that much like they like things sometimes to be the same for most of the time like loop, same POIs and do some new things for the most part I’ve seen more negative reactions from the community with their new stuff then positive. But for me, I know epic can do it again with their new stuff and strike gold but I know it’s gonna take time with their new staff and their new head leader so I’m willing to wait because for the most part what I’ve seen they’ve always learned and they’ve always improved, but I’ve also feel like the community is not patient
For me yes it annoying like og is not good to me like I can understand if they need a season where it like they need a break or relaxing but it sad to me
hey there klaque i jus want to say that I'm sorry and I tack back "my chileds dreem is crushed" thing and the being for you to friend me all I want is to talk about fortnit and random things too. all I want to say is you are the best youtube until cory comes back
In my opinion? Yes yes it is relying too much on it. For example, when I was in college the game came out and the controls and gameplay just felt clunky if that makes sense, it just was so hard for me to get into. So I chose to walk away from it. This past summer ch 5 s 3 I got back in because some friends needed a fourth for squads and I had a blast. The controls and movement and overall gameplay felt completely overhauled and the weapons felt like they had more accuracy, so when remix hit I realized ch 2 wasn’t for me, now to me if they brought old maps in with current weapons I would enjoy it more. (I came to Fortnite from games like halo and gears of war where weapons felt totally different) Now just because I don’t enjoy the loot pools in remix doesn’t mean others don’t. I do however like the battle pass gear and am grinding out the xp to get it all 😊
Chapter 5 season 3 was universally hated, it’s just not Fortnite anymore, it was just a fucking WW1 tank simulator, which is cool if that’s what you’re into, but it’s not what anyone thinks when you say Fortnite
@@benitodifrancesco7254 ut to say universally hated is grouping everyone in the same opinion and that’s just not true. I’m not saying there wasn’t things wrong with it and I’m not saying it was perfect. Saying universally hated sounds a lot like “Fortnite is dead” when that person didn’t like something. When I said I couldn’t get into the early game I didn’t mean it was horrible I just meant it wasn’t for me and I acknowledge that it wasn’t. I also recognize the reasons that for me one chapter or season appeals more to me than another. I don’t feel as though claiming it was hated by everyone is really fair unless there are legit statistics that back up those numbers instead of just streamer opinions. As far as what people think of when you say Fortnite will also be influenced by what that persons first season was. And that goes for a lot of video games, I dont know our age differences or how our game preferences might differ but I would dare say that games like COD or Halo or Mario would also have the same effect. What I think of when I hear those titles might be completely different than what you think of depending on what entries in those titles we both were introduced to first. Epic, like a lot of companies and corporations lean very heavily on nostalgia, it’s not all together a bad thing to use nostalgia it’s just if that’s all you have to keep you going that well can run dry quick just because the feelings it gave us the first time were in completely different eras or stages of life. Sorry for the long response, I just hope I cleared up my meaning a little better.
Ch2 Remix isn't nostalgia really because of rappers so the 1st time we went back to a chapter was Fortnite OG before we went into ch5 and then this year in Summer Fortnite dropped Reload and Fortnite then brought back ch2 but in a remixed state with rappers with Snoop Dog being Midas, Eminem being Brutus, and Ice Spice being Skye with the Agency owned by Snoop Dog called the Dogpound, the Grotto owned by Eminem with him taking it over turning it into his restaurant called Mom's Spaghetti, the Shark owned by Ice Spice being turned into an abandoned shopping mall with an inflatable, and Juice World will arrive and will receive his own landmark which he is the only rapper in the season to not take over a boss location in ch2 Remix and it is for tribute the rest of the ch2 island is the same and now in ch6 with the launch of ch6 ch1 is finally gonna be brought back permanently which is gonna be amazing for the game because it will bring tons of old players and most likely new players attracting those players every month to play the season and because of this more people may become aware of the other Metaverse modes and the new BR seasons causing them to try out the modes and the new BR seasons
At best, C1 OG should be a yearly LTM for Fortnite's birthday. Because if they keep bullet drop, mods and medallions and c1 is my only way to enjoy the game then I am just gonna drop it. I would rather be stuck with a good chapter like 2 or 3.
I dont think fortnite is like leaning too heavily on nastagia or just money hungry, so they just bring back chapter 1. Let's not act like people haven't been asking for this for years. If no one asked for it, then I doubt they would have done it until years later from now. Why are we putting this all on epic this isnt there fault its the players. Personally, I think that Chapter 1 is getting old. I think we need new stuff, not the same old stuff all the time
I don't think its are bad idea it would be intresting to revisit the old og fortnite with no running no swimming and to see if you miss the new elements or you just fine with what you get and it would be the best way to bring back old battle passes maybe give more exp and everything will be fine even when it will not get any live event or comunity events will be are little drawback it won't matter that much and the new fortnite seems to have gotten are new fanbase with comments that i read here and there that the player count may split is nearly sure but also og players will come back and here comes my main problem no build in older season i played zero build in this remix season and i have two things to say first extremly more realaxed and less stressfull second the loot pool doesn't give you defense methods besides the pocket castle or however it is called in english? I just hope that the no build mode will get some exlusove otems to it which will make defense in more of are option
One last thing. Your entire argument revolves around Epic having the sense to take the best of the past and integrate it with the best modern features to make a superior game. I simply don't have that much faith in Epic bro. 😂 They've had plenty of chances to do this and they haven't. Instead, we got Ch5. So at this point, just give us Ch1 and I'll take that as a massive win. If they can somehow fix normal BR, great. I'll play. I don't think they will, though.
"When you're tired of main BR, you can play Ch1." That's still BR. You are just playing BR 2. The other side modes (Rocket Racing, Festival, Lego) Give you a break from the main modes while also giving XP for your Battle Pass. They are enough of a gameplay difference to actually take a break from the monotany that is the battle royale gameplay loop. OG BR is just a different map with a different loot pool. It isn't like reload where the gameplay is more fast paced and quick to pick up a game or two before doing work. OG BR is a waste of a mode that splits up the playerbase, like you said, but for the wrong reasons. It's not a break. it's a split.
As someone who enjoys the gameplay of og fortnite over modern fortnite i see this as an absolute win. Also I know this is unrelated but Jesus loves you and wants you to turn to Him.

Good video Thank you Keep up the good work!
Yes, next question
Also at 7:25, this is why season X was one of the best seasons ever, it was a celebration of what came before
I’m an OG player who HATES everything about new fortnite, same with most of my friends who quit playing at the end of chapter 4.
Tbh, nostalgia isn’t what makes stuff like OG, Remix, and Reload good. What makes it good is the simplicity, loot pools and poi’s
Agree
Remix is not good
While true, its more than possible for them to just *make* a good, simple loot pool (by just copying old loot pools), but the reason remix is mostly ch2s2 is because it is what people are nostalgic for

Totally agree with you here.
finally someone here with some sense, ITS NOT NOSTALGIA, OG WAS JUST BETTER. can't wait til these Fortnite glazers get proven wrong. everyone will see that modern fortnite is garbage slop and og will save the game

I am genuinely worried that Tim Sweeney will see the success of this OG BR permanent mode and make seasons a thing of the past.
Considering Epic is slowly trying to make BR as just another mode instead of the main focus, this is a horrifying yet possible outcome.
They need to make the main game like old Fortnite, not milk Chapter 1. It just enables them to neglect fixing the problems with modern Fortnite.
But it’s concerning if this doesn’t do well for the game after a while.
i was able to hit someone behind a rock from ~300m with a nemesis because of it.
I don't hate it, but I'd rather snipe with a pistol
Og map isn’t that’s great for me chapter 3/4 are the best maps
I personally think that it's sorta flipped on it's head here. The community only wants or is able to positively respond to nostalgia content and so Fortnite keeps putting it in so we all stop crying about how the game was better back then. We are telling them we only want old stuff so they're delivering on that.
Hey, regular watcher from TikTok here. While I see some good things to come of it. I think it would allow them to be more risky with the chapters going forward. It also acts like a living museum for the first steps and it would also give players another alternative for those who think reload is too sweaty.
I have quite a few thingd to say:
1) I think the reason they DIDNT fully give us C2 S2 is so that they can save that move for when fortnite is SERIOUSLY dying.
💯 spot on!!
Realest comment of all time
Exactly, if you don't want to play ch1 then you can just hop right back onto the ch6 map.

EDIT: Also, giving us this means that Epic doesn't have to worry about baking old ideas into the modern game, which completely opens them up to do whatever they want in normal BR.
If chapter 6 has drop off I hope we have some form of hitscan weapons in that loot pool, I think having both in 1 lootpool would be a cool dynamic
The problem with reload is that it is a bum rush mode. Fortnite pacing is special, especially in chapter 1, with enough balance of looting, open scenery, and fights. But with ultra sweats who play against me as a casual who loves og modes, reload just feels like “get good or just quit”

I hated chapter 4, the movement was unbalanced, I kept winning every game but I did not enjoy the stupid katana dash around fuck fest
As long as it stays a side thing and they don't try to water down newer Chapters to be like the older Chapters/Seasons permanently, I'm fine.
mate your talking from the perspective of a someone who plays fortnite everyday, some people like myself just wanna play the fortnite they fell in love with at any time they want whilst also having battlepasses to grind for. go away with the stupid rotation i want my map back.
Reload isn't a magical fix
honestly, im interested in early fortnite just to see the map changes through out the seasons atleast once. though the novelties gonna disappear after i got my fill for playing a bit in each season. ill then mainly play br and reload once i get my fill. idk about other ppl though.
with that said, itll be the main mode a lot of ogs and sweats will play. though theres still some sweats that will atleast want to see wat helios will be like. which is fine. everyone SHOULD be allowed to try out new stuff. but still.
I’d honestly take a sort of alive player base for another 3+ years then a spiking player base that fizzles out after like a year and a half and dies.
The nostalgia is exciting, but it could get old.
Is it nostalgia, or is it simplicity? It’s nice not having so many op items.
bringing back og fort proves that not only are they not confident in their new content but also that they are fully prepared to cash in on nostalgia.

Who would have thought that having hitscan back would improve the game , shame it will be gone next season 😂😂😂
We dont need this when Reload is basically OG but with lootpools from Chapter 1-4, which adds more variety
They are literally completely different man
But we WANT this
The only reason why i dont hate remix is because of the weapons
As much I love OG (because I played since season 2) we just need to let it go at this point
Time to for them to innovate and make things better
Epic Games needs to combine the good aspect from each chapter into the next and improve from there.
This also gives Epic Games the opportunity to re release the og battle passes which I'm all for, even as an og player myself.
Fortnite og isnt just nostalgic its great map and loot pool thats what makes og good...
Calling reload a good replacement for og battle royale is like calling my morning kaka a Michelin star meal
Edit: also the closest thing we have to OG is reload and it's filled with a bunch of sweats.
i cant wait to hear the ogs that complain about fortnite to complain about og fortnite🤣
For me yes it annoying like og is not good to me like I can understand if they need a season where it like they need a break or relaxing but it sad to me
Why can’t we just have both?
hey there klaque i jus want to say that I'm sorry and I tack back "my chileds dreem is crushed" thing and the being for you to friend me all I want is to talk about fortnit and random things too. all I want to say is you are the best youtube until cory comes back
BTW you were using Apex maps rotation as example. This season Apex returned to OG with just one mode and one map 😂
They need a Gundam collab.
Because season 2 and 3 aren't that different I wonder if season 3 will end up being a lull period
Blame the players they wanted this
*thank the players
Short answer: Yes
I dont think fortnite is like leaning too heavily on nastagia or just money hungry, so they just bring back chapter 1. Let's not act like people haven't been asking for this for years. If no one asked for it, then I doubt they would have done it until years later from now. Why are we putting this all on epic this isnt there fault its the players. Personally, I think that Chapter 1 is getting old. I think we need new stuff, not the same old stuff all the time
short answer: yes
They just need to keep hitscan in chapter 6
Yes, next question
What’s next chapter 3 😢
One last thing. Your entire argument revolves around Epic having the sense to take the best of the past and integrate it with the best modern features to make a superior game.
I simply don't have that much faith in Epic bro. 😂
They've had plenty of chances to do this and they haven't. Instead, we got Ch5.
So at this point, just give us Ch1 and I'll take that as a massive win. If they can somehow fix normal BR, great. I'll play.
I don't think they will, though.
Klarques right ✅️.
About all of it. Hes right.
This just makes me think they don’t have faith in Chapter 6
2:01😂
If they can keep pr then keep og
short answer, yes
Can we get a collection tour?
I saw the titans return autobot clones(forgot names) and immediately thought this guys crazy lmao
i genuinely just wanna play chapter one, forever, its my favorite multiplayer game ever made. really hoping for this to be true
i just want the skins i like. many are locked behind battle pass or some type exclusivity.
It’s not gonna split anything, it’s gonna bring in a bunch more players
As someone who enjoys the gameplay of og fortnite over modern fortnite i see this as an absolute win. Also I know this is unrelated but Jesus loves you and wants you to turn to Him.
yes ! chapter 1 is way too much overrated , chapter 2 is way better
speak for yourself bozo this shit gonna be so fire
Omg always having to over analyze this shit. Just enjoy it it’s not that hard
