    what is the difference between parallel and perpendicular mirror planes with respect to the axis of rotation?

      Imagine, we have an access of rotation, which is like an imaginary line through a crystal that you can rotate through. A parallel mirror plane is a flat reflective surface that runs alongside this axis mirroring everything on one side to the other, just as if you placed a mirror next to the axis. A perpendicular mirror plane on the other hand is like placing a mirror at the right angle to this axis, it reflects everything across it, as if you were looking in a mirror facing you.
