    Whenever an NBA head coach is fired:

    Cavs fans have wanted this all along this year. All these pundits and non-cavs fans do not know the story. Cavs were doing better when Garland was out and JB messed things up when Garland came back. His rotations were pure garbage. Too much Niang and Strus, too little Sam Merrill and Dean Wade. too much utilization of Mitchell where he was not given good rest. Too much Mitchell and Garland together playing time. Not enough development of a second PG (Craig porter should have gotten more minutes). Above all, the locker room lost him - so he had to go

    I think the reason all these coaches or managers whether college or pro are getting fired so quickly is there is so much pressure to win now and if you don’t win right away or continue to win people just don’t t have patience anymore so you want to be a coach or manager now good luck the way sports are now

    Makes perfect sense for this firing. King James is always as calculated as they come. Departure from Cavs to Miami. Departure to The Lakers and now retire in Cleveland, hire Redick as coach and draft/sign LeBron James Jr. Allow me to reintroduce the new father/son duo in the league + Farewell tour. That’s a movie if I may say so myself. What do y’all think?

    As a Cavs fan, I think they did him dirty. Aside from Mitchell and Allen being out, Levert was also. No one was going to beat Boston missing 3 of their top 6 players. J.B. got them to a 4th seed with many injuries over the season, Mobley missed like 30 games, and Mitchell, Garland, and Wade all missed 20+. He did a great job with what he had. It is true that he needed to make adjustments better, but that takes a bit of time to learn, plus, he often lacked the personnel. I think this is all about Mitchell, he apparently didn't want him and they are pandering. They will end up hiring someone, the team will need time to adjust. They will end up not doing so well, and Mitchell will end up leaving anyway. It would be one thing if there were some amazing other options, but there really aren't. Vogel is probably the best option, and he just got swept in the first round with having a top 20 player of all time on his roster.
    On a completely different note, I don't understand why Stephen A has to bring race into everything.

    • @ScottCleve33
      @ScottCleve33 4 місяці тому

      He wasn't fired for losing to Boston. He was fired for his overall coaching through, not only the season, but also his entire time in Cleveland. His teams manage to go on a two weeks run every season to give them a plus 500 record but most of the season they're just a 500 team. We see that they're capable of more but because of coaching they don't ever really maintain that level of play.

    Going into the playoffs everyone knew that JB was coaching for his job. They knew his job was on the line. So what did the Cavs do in the playoffs?
    First they almost got upset by an average, albeit improving, Orland team that absolutely emberassed the Cavs in two of the games. The Cavs could only win beat them at home and needed a historic comeback to win game 7 in Cleveland.
    Then they lost in 5 games in Boston. Granted the Cavs had injuries but so did Boston.
    So why are people surprised that he's been fired? Why would anyone say he doesn't deserve this?

  • @mattdavis1735

    I been a huge cavs fan for 30 years....and JB's a great coach but you CANT play your star to death...Mitchell was just coming off injuries and for JB to give him that many minutes in the playoffs to the point where he got hurt AGAIN, was beyond terrible. I don't blame the CAVS for firing him.......

    How the heck would you know if he deserved to be fired. Only the organization knows their conversations, and whether he was following direction or causing internal issues. They also might have a feeling that things in and around the locker room needed to change, and firing the coach is a great way to bring that change. It's their business. They should run it the way they desire.

    For yall the people that are just now getting to know JB. JB was terrible in adjusting in game situations, terrible rotations, and lineups. There’s a reason why he was 6-12 in the playoffs. Here’s an example… why wasn’t Marcus Morris playing in game 4? When they needed all the scoring they could have gotten from the bench. And then boom, look at what he does game 5? That’s just the manny reasons why that he needed to go.
