Your earrings are very beautiful! You're absolutely right about the mixed metals. My customers love it when I mix metals. I've never thought about using washers, though, so you've given me some new ideas. Thanks so much for sharing.
I actually have some washers in my bead collection. I've made the washers oval in my rolling mill. BTW, did you make your bracelets? They look so pretty, what little I saw of them.
My hammering surface is an anvil. You can find them at hardware stores or online. Mine is relatively small (15lbs), which is all I need for smaller jewelry items.
These r adorable! I haven't done a whole lot yet but I've watched a shit ton of videos lol. So I've got a question... why take your round- nose out when u can just twist the bottom to the top in 1 feel swoop? And I've got another 1... (sorry I'm trying to learn everything I can) why add the extra jump ring when u can twist the loop at the end of the ear wire?
Thank you for the comment and questions! Many of the things I do are personal preference. You can twist it to the bottom. Or you can pull them out. It’s a method that I prefer. You will find over time that certain repetitive movement with your hands can cause pain. This is a method that I prefer. As for adding the extra jump ring, it is aesthetics. You could twist the loop at the end of the wire, but it will make the earrings a bit stiffer in terms of movement. The movement is a part of what makes them cute. Also, thin wire can break if you bend it too much. Why mess with the integrity of the wire instead of just adding the extra jump ring? Hope this helps.
Very pretty. Loved the hammered finish. Just wondering though why you closed the tiny jump rings without putting the earring wires on first? It would have saved the last step of having to open the earring wires…….
These are really pretty and thank you for the great instruction on how to make them. Washers! Neve would have thought of that! What was the base that you have to hammer on?
Unfortunately I don’t. We sold these. We did an unboxing video with the washers I used, but they were both in variety packs with multiple sizes. If I were to hazard a guess, about the same sizes as a quarter and a half dollar. I hope this helps.
Love it when someone uses non jewellry items to make lovely jewellry. Well done.
Thanks so much!
Thank goodness I’m not the only one that has been using these for jewelry! 😂 they are so pretty and I love them

Love your earrings but could you please give the size of the washers, bead and head pins? I would love to give this a try. Thanks!
Love the way you teach
Thanks soooo much, Nadine!
Agreed! (From a long time teacher)
✨Very pretty!✨
Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! We will be adding more videos like this!
Nice
They are absolutely gorgeous! How do you treat the copper so it doesn’t tarnish quickly?
Would you please add a link to the silver washers?

I did make them! Thank you!
Very pretty 💕 Good job 👍🏽 Can you explain what you’re using for your hammering surface, please?
My hammering surface is an anvil. You can find them at hardware stores or online. Mine is relatively small (15lbs), which is all I need for smaller jewelry items.
love the mixed metals idea. is that a piece of metal that you're hammering the gaskets on?
It’s an anvil that was gifted to us. The best thing ever!

@@dreaminblueart thank you for answering my questions! There r a lot that don't 😉

Great observation! Thanks for the feedback!
These are really pretty and thank you for the great instruction on how to make them. Washers! Neve would have thought of that! What was the base that you have to hammer on?
I hammered on an anvil. It was a gift from my father-in-law.
Great idea! Can the stainless steel washers be oxidized the way you would copper?
Great question! Unfortunately I don't know the answer. Worth researching, though!
What is the cloth on your bench❤em
Do you mean the grey ish background? It’s a silicone mat. Perfect for working with resin and other materials.
Is there a brand of washers you like the best?
Not specifically. I have only tried the one brand so far.
Where do you get your different washers.
I purchased mine on Amazon. You can get them just about anywhere. Try your local hardware store.
Love your tutorial. Are the silver washers aluminum or real silver? Thank you.
Washers are usually stainless steel. I wish the link for a source to purchase what is used would be provided.
If you search her videos she has shared a link under unboxing washers. She has a link for the aluminum and the copper.
Aluminum!
Thank you for answering! We will be more conscience about providing sources in upcoming videos!
Do you have the size of the washers?

What Guage jump ring do you recommend?
At least 18 gauge otherwise they are too easy to pull apart.
Also I use double jump rings whenever possible.
