Personally the graphics don't bother me at all. Fallout is one of those games where you want them to remain consistent with the gameplay and not create some entirely new way of playing. They tweaked a few things like the VATS system, perks/skill points, crafting weapons, and creating bases. I think it's fine since the core elements are still there and just tweaked a bit. People wanted more Fallout and they got it, it's just slightly tweaked.
