You realllly need to make a forum thread for all these mods. How are those 17x10's treating you? I contacted 949 about making some forged 17x10s and they claim they will rub horribly no matter what and didn't seem too interested lol. They also said they wouldn't work with their Xidas, which you definitely have.
Why do you need the 3mm rear spacer?

I really should make a thread about it, or even a video lol. The 17x10s are treating me good so far, but I do have some issues with rubbing on hard compression in the rear. I also preemptively rolled the fenders as flat as i could to help with clearance. The big issue is that with how wide the wheels are, if you don't use a spacer in the rear, it can rub on the hard brake lines. There's a TSB for the Global MX5 Cup cars that actually relocate the hard line out of the way for them, so I'll be doing that now that I got the pieces for it, and then I shouldn't need to run a rear spacer.

@@stirado26Yes, please make a great walk-around video or thread and show all the mods!
949 specifically mentioned that they would rub in the rear due to the longer travel of the XIDA's. You can get some limiters to help with that, if it is bad enough.
I got my rear fenders rolled already, but the shop didn't want to do anything to the fronts. What did you do up there?
I did suspect that rear brake lines to be the issue with the spacer and I am glad you found out about the relocation. Definitely do a video of that!
I am thinking I will start tracking my Abarth later this year or next year and I love watching all your videos on yours and how fast you seem to be.

@Chilicharger665 thanks man, I'll do a video on everything I've done once the season is over in October and have a bit more time to show in detail and maybe even take some things apart. As far as the front, I did them the same as the rears, I dont see why they wouldn't want to touch it. I just bought a fender roller on Amazon and did all four corners myself, going slow and heating up the bottom of the fender to make sure things were nice and hot when I started rolling. It was a process for sure lol. But yea, let me know when you start tracking, or if you need any help or advice with what to go with, I'll definitely help anyway I can 👍

Did you attempt to do any lowering brackets on the stock Recaros?

    • @stirado26

No, the factory Recaros didn't hold me in well on track, so I decided to just go with aftermarket bucket seats, and then when the season is done, I'll swap the Recaros back in.

This track seems way too narrow for cars imo. Looks like a kart track :/

Lol it's actually a test track for Ginetta's race cars that they also do track days on. I'd honestly say Cadwell feels even more narrow than this lol.
