- During an impassioned speech about her home province of Alberta, Conservative MP Michelle Rempel compared the Liberal government's treatment of Alberta to "a fart in the room that nobody wants to talk about or acknowledge." Green Party leader Elizabeth May took issue with Rempel's use of the word "fart" calling it "distinctly unparliamentary."

In Australia: Yell and call each other names

In Canada: People get mad at the word fart
Well in Australia now, you can only yell and/or call people names if you're from the government, because the speaker is on your side.
For example
Member of the Opposition: *"The Morrison government is unstable, and is not fit to govern Australia."*
And he will be promptly shut down and/or thrown out
But
Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack: *"That's right Mr Speakah what a disgrace the member is, you're a disgrace to this parliament, you don't even live in your electorate!"*

I remember when Elizabeth May got drunk in the press gallery and went on stage, started swearing like a sailor, cracking jokes that nobody laughed at, started playing music on her phone, and got so unprofessional that Lisa Raitt had to come on stage to pull her off. But all of a sudden, the word 'fart' is too much for her.

This reminds me of a substitute teacher I had that yelled at me and lectured me for not TAPING OVER A STAPLE so I would not get “poked” by the staple. While she was doing this a kid was getting beaten up in the back of the class. This substitute was later banned from subbing for telling a 10 year old he was gonna get blown up by ISIS on his vacation to Europe.

The reality is fart is the common parlance for flatulence, used in the abstract would be barely borderline unparliamentary, but the Rempel used fart as the literal in an analogy. Therefore it's not unparliamentary. If she'd have said that the opposition was a fart face and she should go back to Mustard Fart Station and leave politics to people that aren't offended by adult conversations, then fart would be unparliamentary.

You know, normally Elizabeth May is pretty reasonable, but seriously? This is not a Kindergarten classroom, aren't there better ways to spend your time than arguing about using the word "fart?" It was not even targeted at anyone in particular, like I can understand if maybe she had said "The liberals are a bunch of farts" that would be disrespectful, but the context in which she used the word fart in this case is fine, and debating it is just a waste of time.

Please set up educational system that teach morals, teach kids and parents true financial knowledge, have them invest at young age, then everything is paid for and self sufficient, safe government thousand of dollars in social welfare, it should be building from ground foundation and not trying to fix broken building. You can only patch up building here and there call fake jobs. But if there is foundation peoblems, it needs to rebuild. If you dont rebuild, before you know it. Everything is deteriorating. Body, mind and soul all corrupted.
