Yes we are still alive, no we haven't given up on Binky, in fact it's being worked on almost every day, yes we've had various issues that have delayed us beyond what we expected, and no we're not rushing it for anyone, not at this stage. And in the meantime, we still love telling stories and we love making these films so they'll keep coming in and around new Binky and new Escargot episodes.
This is exactly a miss. Talking head and vaguely even seeing anything of the car. But I don't have to watch every video so no problem. I would just hope they finishded the Binky and then drove it in some hill climb and some daily driving around towns and moors. Then start new similar ground up project. These talking heads can do anyone else just as well.
Right on! When a builder talks about the "walk of shame" to get to somewhere to get the tools and parts is well worth my time for the story. Passion projects like this is are why pure ICE h shift works of art will always exist, kind of like how steam locomotives and horses still have a place for enthusiasts.
What an absolute mad-lad! This is what he wants, so this is what he built. Not a huge budget, not a huge well equipped shop. Just a guy with vision, will, and good mates going after his dream. Absolutely awesome!
This was a great interview. He clearly loves working on the car for the sake of working on it, realizing his own personal dream. What else could you ask for? Thanks for sharing!
You guys are setting the bar pretty high with the production and appearance of this Video, one of your best yet. At the current rate of progress on Binky we'll be watching your girls graduation and possibly a meet my grand children video LOL. Glad to hear things are progressing, the resulting video will no doubt be hilarious and impressive. Cheers from OZ.
I love it when passion and determination come together to make a pile of cast-off scraps into something unique and amazing. Stories like this never get old.
This video is an example of where its quality and consideration is such that it's capable of conveying something very powerfully. This type of car is one that generally falls outside my interest area, and as such, I usually wouldn't give it much consideration. The engine choice in the title piqued my interest though, and then the production took over. I've come away a fan of both the car and its considered builder, and of the people who put this video together. Bravo, and thank you for the compelling viewing.
Thanks for this awesome video of a dream of a custom car. I can relate in my humble garage in western Canada. Wife and I vacationed in Shropshire, Wales and Cornwall last summer, wow is it beautiful there!
for my personal "taste", I am not wild about the car. but I am crazy about the passion & dedication that Dan had to take the worst possible use of 750 quid and turn that rust heap into this. Perhaps, more than anything else, now I want to go to Wales.
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! Extremely impressive! This is definitely way beyond being only cool. And so is the builder/owner. What an incredible amount of effort went into his dream car! But obviously it was worth it. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all involved people.
Late to the party, but appreciate the love put into it all, lucky moments and opportunities, take 'em and run with it, still a cool car. Delightful noise, interesting details and a smidge unusual body selection, certainly building it up and using it is infinitely better than letting it rust and be discarded. respect.
What a brilliant project. The passion this guy shows for the end result is an example to anyone thinking of starting even a small project. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I’m a retired mechanic with a pretty solid belief that a car s just a means of conveyance but that doesn’t stop me appreciating someones dream come alive or recognising passion. Cool car!
Props to this fella. Crazy that in NZ we would probably take the heart out of a Toyota and slap it in a BMW as the access to both cars are the opposite to over there. Thanks for the video!
So cool.. so inspiring.. Glorious to see someone build up one of those generation Celicas.. first car in high schools was one of those.. It was [mostly] indestructible.. and taught me a lot about driving.. Cheers from Wisconsin !!
Very good to see a new viedo on this channel. This Celica is so absolutely unneccessary - and it is so absolutely cool! The story behind it is even cooler - thank you!
My main envy is having the space to work on it! An outstanding build and I loved hearing every part of his project - including, and despite all the setbacks. Love it!
Love the car, and the approach, good on David for creating a car he is happy with. Funny thing, while watching this it reminded me of a Mini build I saw on UA-cam, this was back before the start of the internet when we used to wear an onion on our belt which was the style of the day....
I saw the occasional post about this in RA40 Celica groups on Facebook. So cool to see it finished and featured on BOM, especially as I'm preparing to get back into my own RA40 project
Definitely not my taste but it warms the heart so much to see a man with such passion for his car, and he's built it for him and nobody else. It's genuinely fantastic to see.
i didn't even realize this was BOM's channel at first. im subbed to a few channels that do stuff like this. this car came out great too. you can tell how much passion he put into making it what HE wanted
It's nice to know you'll be absolutely fine with UA-cam once Binky is finished, this was a great video. That car is incredible, made even more so by the passion that's gone into it.
Big grins watching this. What a story. I also built a car that I wanted to, that made others scratch their heads. Built on a shed floor with minimal tools. Totally get it 👍
I'm not a fan of the underglow but this is a cool car. Daniel is definitely a car guy who has my respect. I'm sure there were several times that he considered giving up on the project, but he pushed on.

Don't worry, after 10 years, a couple of months is not a big deal ; )
I’m patient. I’ll gladly wait for new stuff. Screw those who won’t 😝
less typing more editing lol thanks for the videos
Escargot, That's exciting.
500 years later, Binky still isn’t finished…..
The world would be so boring without talented, accomplished, passionate and imaginative petrolheads. Nice work.
Whatever ideas you have for side project content like this, go for it! I've never seen you miss. This is great.
This is exactly a miss. Talking head and vaguely even seeing anything of the car. But I don't have to watch every video so no problem.

Love that you mentioned BOM and MCM! The GOATs!!!
What an absolute mad-lad! This is what he wants, so this is what he built. Not a huge budget, not a huge well equipped shop. Just a guy with vision, will, and good mates going after his dream. Absolutely awesome!
"it's just cool" is a perfect answer to why you drive/modify/love any car. Loved the project, it's unique and truly a labour of love
Not my type of car, but absolutely my kind of enthusiasm! What a wonderful story of commitment, determination and the love of driving. Bravo.
Wow, what a guy. Never giving up, never question his dream and just go with the flow. We need more people like him in the world.
Cheers from Sweden.
What a story. What a video. What a car. What a heroic journey. WOW!
The cinematography on this is simply epic. Well done Ben and the team.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story.
This was a great interview. He clearly loves working on the car for the sake of working on it, realizing his own personal dream. What else could you ask for? Thanks for sharing!
I absolutely love this!
Beautifully and artfully filmed, edited and produced too.
Thank you so much!
A wonderful story from a lover of cars!
Wooo! Glad you guys are still going
The scenery in Wales is absolutely stunning! Using the drone to follow the car was fantastic!
Doesn't matter what car it is, Its always a pleasure to watch someone, who is brimming with passion about it, talk about it :)
Not only do you lot make mechanical automotive art, you've moved to making cinematic automotive art too. Top notch.
Sweet lord above! You guys returned!!!
You guys are setting the bar pretty high with the production and appearance of this Video, one of your best yet.

He’s a really decent guy and a great story teller.
Respect!
I’m Vietnamese, i read this article about your amazing car just few moments ago. Unbelievable, bmw engine, jdm style. Beast❤
I love it when passion and determination come together to make a pile of cast-off scraps into something unique and amazing. Stories like this never get old.
I know! I've turned a few piles of scrap into something "interesting" a few times in my 65 years!
It's like the stone soup story.

Any day there is a video from you all, is a good day. Thank you gentlemen
Thanks for this awesome video of a dream of a custom car. I can relate in my humble garage in western Canada. Wife and I vacationed in Shropshire, Wales and Cornwall last summer, wow is it beautiful there!

Full commitment 👏
Not many people come back from the "I have a dream" to "I have a heap of rust" realisation.
Wow, Wales is gorgeous!

Now that's a real statement of true passion. And what a car it is! Truly amazing!
That's what I love about this hobby, people with a passion project and others helping them, because that makes us all stronger.
That was bloody beautiful 👌👍
Absolutely lovely! This looks surprisingly little like a repurposed library bus though.
Late to the party, but appreciate the love put into it all, lucky moments and opportunities, take 'em and run with it, still a cool car. Delightful noise, interesting details and a smidge unusual body selection, certainly building it up and using it is infinitely better than letting it rust and be discarded. respect.
Love it! I have an 85 Celica and my uncle an 79. This is a reveling transformation for that car.
This is a beautiful story, thanks for sharing.
Wow, this episode had some strong MCM vibes in it. Well done, loved every second of it!
Fantastic stuff!
That is an epic car build. Obvious labour of love. Enjoy it tot the fullest! Thank you for sharing it with BOM and us.
Great job, and a daily driver, even better. 😊
I have a 1987 Supra and a 2002 BMW E39 530i, so I approve. Old BMWs and old Toyotas (and old Porsches) are my bread and butter.
What a great story and build.
Cool car!
Perfection... Thank YOU!
This was fantastically filmed and the way the story was told throughout kept you engaged. Stella work to all evolved.
Missing yours projekts but realy liked the heart and passion about this one. Thumbs up👍👍👍
Build what you love and love what you build.
Absolutely fantastic, the car, the story, the film. Thanks.
That last line, "its just cool". Exactly.
"It's just cool." A+
An enthusiast with a similar bad obsession LOL - lovely one of a kind car
What a legend this guy is! As a fellow Celica owner, I salute you. 🫡
The last line sums it all up nicely.... " It's just cool "
Props to this fella. Crazy that in NZ we would probably take the heart out of a Toyota and slap it in a BMW as the access to both cars are the opposite to over there. Thanks for the video!
One simply cannot give enough thumbs up for this car. And the making of this video.
That high pitched intro ping set my dog off - bloody hell haha. Great video and great car.
Nicely done, guys, nicely done!
And a cool project car!
Thats inspiring, the interview was great ,The scenery is absolutely amazing
I like the drone footage, classy!
What a story - well told and beautifully shot. And the car - speaks for itself doesn't it?
So cool.. so inspiring..
Glorious to see someone build up one of those generation Celicas.. first car in high schools was one of those..

I really like the look of it
My main envy is having the space to work on it! An outstanding build and I loved hearing every part of his project - including, and despite all the setbacks. Love it!
Yet to see a bad video from you lads. Thank you.
This was amazing!!!! As well done as any top notch production company could do. Thanks for sharing
That car is nothing short of sexy, thanks for sharing!
Love the car, and the approach, good on David for creating a car he is happy with.
Funny thing, while watching this it reminded me of a Mini build I saw on UA-cam, this was back before the start of the internet when we used to wear an onion on our belt which was the style of the day....
A amazing guy with an amazing dream. What a stunning environment. He's a delight.

Gosh, love how It came out, the sound is spot on as well.
You guys in the UK sure have your freedom to build what you want to. Respect 🙏
👍💪✌️
A true car enthusiast - this is what it’s all about. What a legend! 👍
Thanks for another person's dream, great as always 👍
Well done Sir! That is a thing of beauty both aesthetically and mechanically! You should be proud of yourself! 😎😎😎
More of this stuff, love seeing sick and different enthusiasts home builds!
Love the way the car looks and sounds. Say Hello to your Celica friend from a Romanian UA-cam fan from America.
Superb content as always lads. I'm amazed Richard hasn't been approached for some TV work yet. Perfect voiceover voice!
Why thank you.
Amazing!
Definitely not my taste but it warms the heart so much to see a man with such passion for his car, and he's built it for him and nobody else. It's genuinely fantastic to see.
Imagine. Building a custom car bespoke to one's own tastes and needs and actually FINISHING it and DRIVING IT. Imagine.
Do what you love. It usually works out, or you have fun doing it again….. Well done!
i didn't even realize this was BOM's channel at first. im subbed to a few channels that do stuff like this. this car came out great too. you can tell how much passion he put into making it what HE wanted
Lovely video, now as Sanka says "Get back to work!"
Well that production was top notch. Well done guys!
These unexpected short films are such excellent quality it's very reassuring when there's always big gaps between the main videos.
Nice, well presented and enjoyable to watch. Thank you
So cool, what a legend
Awesome little story, great content guys!
A very heartfelt welcome back! 🇨🇦
Bloody love the Elan Valley, implore anyone who can to visit, lovely part of the world.
It's nice to know you'll be absolutely fine with UA-cam once Binky is finished, this was a great video. That car is incredible, made even more so by the passion that's gone into it.
Binky finished, please. In what decade?
@@shopshop144 fair point, well made!
Two videos a year won’t pay the bills.
@@sjv6598 I imagine their day jobs and the ridiculously full patreon will do that
@@shopshop144The decade ends in "0s" but that is all we know....
That car is indeed, very cool. Amazing job of getting the dream car built. Perhaps you could finish Binky?
Big grins watching this. What a story. I also built a car that I wanted to, that made others scratch their heads. Built on a shed floor with minimal tools. Totally get it 👍
The guy had a Nissan 100NX, so clearly a man of refined taste. My second car was a 100NX and I've never loved a car so much ❤
That exhaust sound! I'm in love!!
What a treat
I'm not a fan of the underglow but this is a cool car. Daniel is definitely a car guy who has my respect. I'm sure there were several times that he considered giving up on the project, but he pushed on.
Great video - superb production (both car and video!)
Excellent job as always boys!
