Adding Peter Griffin is really cool, but making us move like him in game is not what anyone wanted. the new movement animations are nice, but they definitely need to make it faster/make it look faster. Besides that point, this new chapter is sick.

the new movement and weapon system is definitely a turn off for a LOT of players, every gun has bullet time (to my knowledge) and dropoff. regular jogging is a bit slower and gameplay feels more melodic compared to what it used to be. I love it personally because it requires proper positioning and timing but I'm sure a lot are going to disagree

Everything is perfectly done this chapter, apart from removing the sprint feature, That's the only thing this new season is missing to be the best of all time

It is a new visual! However, the rocking happens when you strafe I believe, it'll jump/jitter when you fire

Movement feels funny but you can slide forward and and jump in the opposite direction in one movement if you time it right, I dig that.

As an og player returning from chapter 1. I have to say the movement really isn't an issue, it's just that it doesn't sit right in our minds as it's not the Fortnite we know. It's something different which we need to get used to, on the bright side of things everything in game looks amazing, Fortnite has truly come a long way in its development fr. I reckon the slower movement speed means casual players like myself won't find build fights as bad as we used to since the editing speed remains the same. It wont be so much of a pain anymore as people wont build as big towers as they used to when they were shot lol. Aim seems to be more skill based. The weapons variety is very nice as well as the different element to the game, has a Call of Duty feel to it now, which is pretty cool. W season in my opinion. I think others would agree with me too when I say this tbh.
i cant get used to the new bullet physics, before i used to have like 45% accuracy almost every game, but now that every gun has bullet time and bullet drop i miss every shot. i just learned quick scoping with snipers with the old physics and now i just cant anymore.
@justin1000stra honestly for me it feels way easier to hit shots. Not too sure why, but the guns just feel easier to handle and stuff. I'm enjoying the new season alot, the new guns, and other things.
You started the comment with “it really isn’t an issue“ and then explained why it is an issue. Just admit it, they fucked the animation and the character‘s movement and it is incredibly disorienting.
@justin1000stra You're not wrong. Aim is more competitive now. It seems they changed it, so the game is more balanced and not overly reliant on building. This really does feel more like the old days of fortnite except for the change in movement speed and aim, etc.
@@BobParr2004I feel as I'm a Call of Duty player, I don't really find the movement as an issue, I'm just trying to review it from the public's point of view. Makes the game more competitive now and puts more of a balance between people skilled on different aspects of the game and not just building for example. I have no complaints.
Damn, I already knew I wasn't going to play that much anymore when the OG map and weapons were ending but they just made it so much more complicated. Why? The map looks beautiful though but also a little too detailed for its own good.

It’s really not that complicated. There’s only 10 add-ons, none of which change how you use the weapon. And there’s only 9 weapons anyways. 2 ARs, Shotguns, SMGs, Pistols and 1 Sniper.

The movement is just better. Yes, it feels weird and looks different, but just get used to it. One of Fortnite's core identities is that it's always changing, adapting and evolving, and we've done the same for years. Why cry now?

I personally love the new movement. It doesnt feel as chunky as the old where you get caught on every corner and object. The lateral movement is more responsive which feels really nice.

I just miss the simplicity of the OG load out and mobility. All this shit they’ve added makes it feel like a completely different game.
first few matches i hated it, ai bots everywhere and the storm seems to go waaay faster than normal, (died to both lol) but then i started getting some kills and a couple victories, tried different weapons and i gotta say i'm loving it. there's so much to this season, give it a chance everyone!

I really like everything about this season EXCEPT for the movement, and unfortunately, the movement brings it down from like a 9/10 to maybe a 4/10 for me.

For those saying the speed of movement is the same, it’s not. Compare a creative map with the same speed as last season to the movement in the current season and the difference is night and day. The most confusing part of this change is that the animations still look amazing on the old movement speed.
I’m not saying I want the exact same as old movement, but maybe just a little bit faster than it is now would be really nice. Hoping for some more tuning.

@@goose5426 the running speed is exactly the same as before. You can test it in creative by holding the phone out to get the old animation back. If you fairly compare it, you’ll see that the only difference is that your character just takes bigger steps. The only thing they changed is the animations.

I may be one of the few people that actually likes the movement, it feels fluid and blends in well with the game. Guns is a big W because it feels like a better version of the crafting system, you can pickup a gun from the ground that has the attachtments you want, and if not, you can just go buy them anywhere and they're very cheap.

Epics Biggest mistake was making the game better for noobs like you who don’t actually love the game. If they actually catered to the players who love the game then this season would have a lot more positive reviews than negative.
How can you not like Season OG? The lootpool is way more interesting and challenging to use, not just those broken ass spam guns you kids want to use to actually be able to kill someone in your PS5 with L2... I admit it, some mechanics they have been adding are cool and all, but with this new update the character looks like a bunch of jelly, looks like its twerking while gliding and its trash, just to not talk about the layouts that are 10 times uglier then the previous ones. I'd pay just to get the CH1 locker and item shop layout, more colorful/interesting and less boring.
does anyone else's game look super dark since the new patch???? its not the day/night cycles but the contrast looks SUPER off like all the dark colors are too dark
Ps5 players like us yess it does just make your colorblind tritanope and brightness to 150

@@skywalker3975 what im talking about isnt the day/night cycles nor is it the color palette of the new map though. in game the contrast is way too high specifically with darker colors (for me). its almost impossible to differentiate between shades of black/dark grey in game.
in all the youtube vids ive seen of this season it looks normal but for whatever reason my game is noticably darker all around despite changing nothing aside from raising brightness.

If anyone doesn’t know, you can start a revive on someone, let go, and it will continue where you left off. But it does wear off after a few seconds, but it’s good for a sticky situation.

To me it feels like Epic has evolved Fortnite to the point that it is losing the simple and quirky qualities that made it different from other BR games. Sure, they can’t please everyone, and some will absolutely love it and some will absolutely hate it. After the nostalgia of OG I’m feeling kinda meh about this new chapter honestly.

I'm loving this new season. The guns and movement haven't been a problem for me but I can see how some people coming from OG wouldn't like it.
Because it makes literally 2% difference on PC to move around! But for consoles you literally a AI walking ! I Uninstall, I'm playing the new MW2 new map ! It's actually nice to be able to move on nice speed in that game and not all Goofy

My movement for strafing gets jammed side to side. And also left click to fire gets jammed the same. I play kbm on Xbox, never had this problem until this season

One thing: people just cant take changes. This game feels amazing right now, with the map, the graphics the gameplay, the variety... im really loving it.

I’m really loving the new update. I love the new movement, I love the new guns, I’m really loving everything. I was so hesitant and scared of what would be in the update. But I think Epic did an amazing job changing a lot about Fortnite.
Also I want to add today was the sweatiest day I’ve ever played in Fortnite. Everyone was going ham in Fortnite today lol. But I did get 6 wins and 2 crowns. I really hope they don’t nerf some of the ARs. Yeah they’re kind of OP, but I love it. The guns are perfect where they are rn in my opinion.
