You parents need to talk to the child who gave her the black eye . Also speak to the parents also . To make sure this doesn’t happen again . If you don’t other people will see her as an easy target . Take care of her eyes as they are an important part of her body .

I didn’t know the girls played on the boys teams bcuz if it was purposely done, that type of guy wouldn’t do that to another guy. They don't seem to mind their daughter barely being able to open her eye. Even if it's part of football, I would still be pissed off! The boy even said, it's my ball! So, he was pissed Hallie had gotten the ball, and socked it to her. Their more patient than I would be about the situation! But every parent is different, I'm just overprotective mom. As a child who was harmed I really wished I felt safe and secured with my mom. It’s really important for a child to see their parents being protective of them so that they can know they’re safe. I’m not saying every little things should be took seriously but in a moment like this I don’t think it’s right for them to try to sugar code things.. I been here for a while and it seems like a lot of force positivity.. being positive is fine but it’s also okay for humans not to be okay. It’s okay to not feel happy and to have emotions other than smiles and giggles. If they’re not able to express their other emotions then it’ll be hard for them to express it when they get older.. as a mom if a boy hits my daughter I’m not saying I would turn violent but I would also let her see that that’s not good and I wouldn’t want to not allow her to express herself.. teaching your girls bruises are okay can do a lot of damage in the long run.
Praying she gets better. This isn’t acceptable or anything to laugh at. Whether it is a rough sport or not,it shouldn’t be skimmed over! I truly am coming from a good place and I’m a HUGE supporter of this family. Love you guys 🫶🏽

Hosanna agreed with Halle's narrative but after her parents changed the story, though neither experienced the incident, Hosanna began to agree with her parents narrative. What does Ella mean by telling Halle that she has to "be able to take it" after being told by Halle the player got upset and elbowed her in the eye. Thats a nasty black eye and Tim's overbearing reaction is heartbreaking.No dad should ever tell his daughter to accept receiving a deliberate black eye from a boy because it goes with the sport. Still not clear, was this intentional or not? I couldn't quite understand. If it was intentional, the boy needs to be reprimanded. NOTHING excuses violence, abuse and not being able to control your temper. Let's not give boys (and girls) excuses for bad behavior. They carry these things into their relationships!
Side note: I always hear y'all emphasizing not responding to pain. Whenever someone is injured, stressed or hurt, there's such an emphasis to laugh it off or act like you're not feeling anything. I'm not advocating being overly sensitive or being a cry-baby, but doesn't seem healthy to always not acknowledge when you're stressed or hurt.

See, I thought I might have been overthinking the emphasis on not responding to pain part, but I do see a pattern. There's a tendency from the parents to brush things off or hastily reassure with phrases like "but it's okay!" whenever the children express an inkling of discomfort or an emotion that is anything less than positive. Consequently, the children's default reaction in various situations is to dismiss or respond with "-butitsokay," mirroring their parents' behavior and striving to maintain their approval by appearing "perfect."

Nice to see some of their fans using the sense God gave them. No offense. Keep paying attention and you’ll see more odd things about the grimwades.
I have noticed this too, but i will say it’s not all the time. There’s a video where they talk about the children’s different personalities and Halle is described as a person who usually laughs things off and harper is a bit more emotional and they allow her to be as well. I don’t think it’s the intention to brush it off, but to give reassurance that she is actually okay and it’s not anything serious. As a girl myself I can see how something like this would effect my own confidence, so they do a good job at reassuring that she’s still beautiful. There’s a video where hallelujah tries to curl her hair and she gets upset that it doesn’t turn out well and you do see a lot of comfort and reassurance given by parents without shrugging it off.

Although in sports these kinds of injuries happen, it is never easy to be okay with it but it will teach you real quick to watch out and stay away from the elbows. We had to play soccer/football with the boys in gym class. I was the goalie the boy look at me with a look in him eyes and kick that ball so hard it hit me in the stomach. It hurt but when I got back on the field I tripped him up. He never did that again in any other sport we had to play in gym

I don’t like how the shrunk her feelings. Initially she felt it was intentional. Mom made her change her thoughts even though she couldn’t actually see. I would be pissed if this was my daughter. Granted this is a tough sport but, his behavior is unacceptable. Even her sister was upset for her and Ella took over. Not fair.

I agree. these kids need more agency when it comes to speech and airing their feelings. Ella often talks over the girls and changes the narrative to what she thinks is a lighthearted experience, or to the next extreme, the girls should have tough exteriors and champion their way through everything. This family need a middle ground as there is none. Too much perfection, needs to put too much pressure and packing in secrets
