The problem isn’t the camera or your brand new iPhone 11, the problem is the light... try to make a photo with more light and the 2x camera will be used nomally. If there isn’t enought light, it will use the 1x camera with a 2x digital zoom.
ojih you figure anything out yet? Just got mine last week but I thought my camera was faulted but slot of ppl say things about it.. when I take picture there’s beams of light coming into photo bad... also front camera is like wavy with weird streaks of light and doesn’t seem to focus
I’ve never heard of this problem, I have the max but I’ve never heard of that problem from people I know with the pro, I will assume it’s a glitch, maybe restarting your phone or restoring might fix that problem, I’m sorry I can’t be of more assistance
Its because the iphone uses its main lens when you’re in a darker room or light because it has a wider apeture than the telephoto lens. Go outside where its sunny or where there is enough light and you’ll see it switching to the other lens🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼
TheeTechGuru 2x sensor is smaller and darker, so for low light conditions, it’s better use 1x camera with digital zoom, with wide aperture and bigger sensor rather than a smaller sensor and darker.
I thank I does have to do with lighting because when I go outside in the sun it’s nice and clear with .5 but as soon as I get in a dark room with lil light it’s foggy in the left corner
My phone 11 pro max has to be reset every couple weeks (reset all) reset network settings won't fix it. I know when because I don't get any text messages or voicemail. I have reset my short cuts, and sounds. I have remake my home button. Any Ideas!!

Alexis Aguirre I just got my pro Max last week but the camera seems like poor quality. I’m no pro photographer but the camera and battery were main reasons for the phone. A lot of pictures I take have wavy flare type lighting moving all through the screen... it won’t focus easy even Snapchat front camera it just seems so out of focus did I get a faulted iPhone I need to know ASAP lol

Same problem on mine and I can’t get the shoot outside the frame to work either.
I have the 11 pro and every time I want to take a picture, I don’t even have the the .5 or 2x just 1x anyone know the problem?

It shouldn’t be based off the lighting, it should be asked if it’s not going to switch

Mine is 1 camera is on the upper and 2 is under. Why yours 1 and 2 Are in thesame camera?

There’s not really a manual mode in the default camera app so I would suggest using a 3rd party app that allows control over the hardware
