    Boost your 2018 Mustang GT by approximately 36 horsepower without a required tune using this high-flow Roush Cold Air Intake. This cold air intake's washable filter is crafted out of 2 layers of wire mesh for long-lasting usage. muscle.am/2krqWJP
    Item 404871
    MPN# 422086
    Enhance Performance of 5.0L Coyote. Replace the 2018 GT Mustang’s stock restrictive air box and paper filter with the high-flow Roush Cold Air Intake. With its larger air box and reusable dry filter, this Roush Intake will significantly increase air flow into the manifold for enhanced horsepower, torque, throttle response and overall performance of Coyote-powered 5.0L GTs. The unique design of the Roush air box also features a Plexiglas viewfinder that will not only allow for easy checking of the filter at a glance but will also add impressive under hood styling.
    High Flow Air Box & Dry Filter. The Roush Cold Air Intake features a large and enclosed CAD-designed roto-molded intake box that draws a direct feed of cool air from the grille of the car, while its enclosed design ensures that cool air continuously surrounds the air filter. The High-Flow Dry Air Filter is composed of two layers of wire mesh, ensuring optimal filtration as well as durability. The fry filter is also washable and reusable, and will not require oiling. The Roush Intake Kit will also not require a tune to provide impressive increases in performance.
    Bolt-On Installation. Designed to be a straightforward bolt-on installation, the Roush Cold Air Intake uses stock style clamps and couplers to ensure a perfect fit. With basic hand tools, the complete install of this Cold Air Intake can be completed within approximately one hour.

Most people see 470 with full exhaust and e85 through the 10 speed. This is bs. You expect me to believe that a manual makes that much more power with just a tune and cold air? Either these numbers are fudged or they aren’t corrected and it’s a happy dyno.

      Eric Pugh I own a 2018 gt. I do research lol. Has a jlt and Lund tune. Lund made 440 with tune and jlt through the manual. American muscle is just trying to sell parts and is fudging their numbers. Most other companies dynoed their cars in the 420s. Just another blind sheep who believes what these companies say. Don’t over torque your nut installing the intake to the car, I split the bolt in half so now I have no anchor screw there (which is fine because once everything else is installed it doesn’t move), and for removing the sound tube, use a ratcheting 10mm wrench. You can get it off manually (as I did cuz I don’t have a ratcheting wrench), but it’ll take you more time. I haven’t gotten my tune delivered yet so idk how the performance will go but I’ll update later.

      440hp and 396tq STD on my 2018. Bone stock. Sooo yes they are putting down those numbers man. All this with 98degree weather! 6sp manual as well. Now I don’t know what the automatics puts down but I assume it’s a bit less for obvious reasons.

      I do agree with you that I doubt an intake and tune would add that much though, especially since their are several people who have done testing on the factory air intake and shown that it flows damn near as well as any aftermarket air intake.

And before people tell me its underrated from the factory , let me remind you of its 12.6 1/4 mile at 115mph , which indicated about 460hp . It's all bullshit to sell useless parts .

    Overall my son and I thought the video was very helpful, but definitely not perfect. One item NOT mentioned is the fact that the wiring harness for connection to the MAF is very tight and that TWO plastic clamps holding the wiring should be cut to allow the wire to reach.

    I agree this is a shady practice from people who push CAIs. The HP gains are attributed to the following practices: 1) Running the dyno after installation with a tune. 2. Running 87 octane with the stock and 93 octane after CAI installation. 3. Running the dyno test with the hood open which allows the filter to get a maximum air flow. Come on, no one drives around with their hood open. I want to see a apple to apple comparison. Run the dyno before and after installation with the same fuel and close the hood.

      Eric Pugh they claim this did 474 to the JLT 461 I believe. Lund shows a tune then tune with CAI and it was 9whp about 4-5 more then a drop in air filter which is the way I went. 350-400$ for 5-10whp isn’t worth it to me and the fact later on I plan on a whipple

      @passhy4991 Рік тому

      @@bryanphelan1104 I'm late but to clean it all you have to do is un-clamp the one clamp to the cone of the intake and the cone itself pops right out. I modded a V6 for couple years and had one and just got a GT but this is how you clean the cone. And usually these can go without cleaning anywhere from 50,000-100,000 miles. Depending on brand and area you live in. Hope this helps!

      No. The intake doesn't add noise. To get a louder car you would need to modify your exhaust - which you're not doing at all here.
