How timely - I have Dark Master otw should be here in a few days. I don’t however, have the God Vessel yet. Which is an ancient Prime arm that Megs uses to hold a Dark Star Saber he makes from dark energon (which is the purple sword that comes with Dark Master Evil God).
Cool review. Cant wait to pit him against my ss86 Optimus who needs a good challenger.

what 3rd party/kos do you think have the most fun/satisfying transformations?

Just offering my opinion, but from what I’ve seen Magic Square has some of the best transformations: both efficient and fun. I have my first one on preorder, MS-01x; can’t wait.

@@Wineandjazzthanks, I'm looking for something cheaper though since I don't like spending too much on a single figure, I guess forty bucks is sort of my limit for one

@@valfonso678 understood. That will be a little bit tough since a lot of the third-party companies do charge a premium given the quality and time put into those figures. That’s not to say can’t find them. It’ll just be a little bit more work.
I can recommend one in particular that I just received recently, that is now my favorite figure. That is the Black Mamba Oversized Tarn.
He’s significantly larger than the Legacy Tarn mold that he’s based on (almost 9“ - 9“ if you include the antenna lol). But the attention to detail, the quality of build is masterpiece level.
This figure has diecast metal throughout, all the plastic is painted as far as I can tell, and the majority of the paint is metallic. And how much for something that rivals MP class? $45. Insane.
I’ll have to do some digging for a third-party that does quality build transformations and is in your budget. It’s tough because even third-party companies that are doing core/legend class are more than $40 per figure, which at first seems insane, but the quality & detail rivals a typical figure size.
The good news is we’re entering an era where third-party manufacturers are becoming the go-to for collectors and those looking for quality build Transformers that although not official, blow away anything Ha$bro produces. There will be lots of options for all budget needs.

@@valfonso678 I’ll have to do some digging to see which third-party companies fall within your budget, as many do charge a premium given the quality and time put into such figures. With that said, one figure I can recommend that falls within your budget that I received recently & now is my favorite figure of my collection is the Black Mamba Oversized Tarn.
This figure is based upon the same Legacy Tarn mold, but taken to the next level in every way possible. The build quality and detail is that of a masterpiece class figure.
First, this is a big boy. He’s almost 9 inches tall and 9 inches if you count his antenna (shut up Logan lol). All the plastic is painted as far as I can tell, most of it metallic, and has diecast throughout.
He’s fun to transform and pose, granted his joints are a bit stiff at times. The good news is due to a figure of this quality, you’re not dealing with a bunch of screw pins - instead actual screws that you can adjust as needed to your liking. And so how much for something that is MP class? $45. Insane.
The good news is we’re entering an era where third-party companies are becoming the go-to for collectors of all kinds and budgets and so we’ll have lots of options to choose from going forward.
Again, I’ll try to do some digging on which companies fall within your budget with their offerings.

CAPTAIN KYLE . . . are you familiar with A.P.C.'s iteration of Beast Wars RAMPAGE ("Bossy Flame")? It shares the same mold as "Dark Master" but with a different head, of course. And its fiery color scheme is evocative of a Phoenix - just dazzling to behold. I prefer it over their version of Megatron and am glad to have it in my collection. I hope you get a chance to see this figure if you haven't done so already.
By the way, your "Come here, I want your balls" voiceover in this review reminded me of a scene in Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life." It's when the Grim Reaper visits a dinner party and indicts the British host for lacking testicular fortitude. In doing so, the Reaper thrusts its skeletal hand right up to the man's face and makes a hilarious cupping/squeezing gesture with its bony fingers, then angrily utters, in a gravelly voice, that none of his people "have got any balls." 😆

Actually, I have Bossy Flame. I bet that's the Styrofoam I found. I will have to do a review on him soon.
And any way I can invoke Monty Python, even unintentionally, is a win.
